Majority of Cap nurses are still jobless.Even we clear oet.oscie no job in newzland.I heard that Dhb stopped recruitment after your effort cAP reimbursement stopped. Very bad condition for those who r planning to come newzland with cap or Oscie.Australia also started rejection pls do not encourage to come newzland.
Yes, there has been a huge influx of nurses in the year just passed, more than 10k nurses got registered so obviously many of them are going jobless. The current situation is unprecedented and is very difficult. 🤞

The current NZ nursing job situation will definitely improve, however it will take time. All who got APC keep trying, definitely will get job within 2-3 years maximum. If anyone has returned to Kerala, try to enter into an employment there and keep trying.

No RN job vacancies in here currently . APC needs to be renewed every year. If you don't practice in Nz or Australia, you can't renew APC. Therefore, it is the best option if you can't find out a job in Nz, look at nursing jobs in Australia

All this is happening because of the agents who are really making money out of it. After attaining APC, they ask shamelessly that let us start AUS registration. Just to make money.
Actually we can do all these by our self. It’s not very hard process. But most people choose to go with agencies so who to blame?

That means you cannot work in some areas of nursing for instance mental health unless you gain specific training in that area.
Only issue in mental health?my area of experience in operation theatre. Is any problem to do the job in OT?thanks in advance..

Try Trademe or seek but I suggest you try jobs in Aussie after getting APC. Very hard to get jobs in nz at present

Hi brother....I am male nurse...have msc mental health nursing degree and have overall 14 years experience (previously have 4 yrs clinical experience and currently having teaching experience for 10years).
So:
1) can I get APC of mental health of NZ and
2) get the job in mental health department according to the present situation .

As far as I know, you'll get an APC with limitations due to your teaching experience. If you had 14 years of clinical experience you would have got an APC without conditions. I know a few people who had teaching experience in their career and they got APC with conditions.

If you are a person with msc mental health nursing there will not be any restrictions in scope of practice and you have a higher chance of getting job in mental health departments more than others... And scope of practice is given based on the mental health nursing hours in the transcrit..I am a person with 11 years of teaching experience and I work in mental health.. In southern dhb they give preference for people with msc mental health as per my experience. .An

You’re very likely to have an APC without any conditions and you could get a job in mental health. Usually there’s more jobs in mental health in Australia and New Zealand though currently situation in nz is bit worse for finding any jobs. Hopefully this situation will also change 🤞
