2014 Prizm was my favorite Prizm design ever.

For the 2014 Prizm packs alone, I'd pick one up if I could ever find them. These look fun and have potential value depending on the packs/cards you get. Very nice green Carr RC pull!
2014 Prizm and Basketball were the best designs for Prizm all Time! They need to bring those back as a tribute or something, like they did in clearly Donruss, so Embiid and LaVine could get re-release cards!
This was also the set that got me into collecting Basketball cards, so there ‘s that! 😉

Wal-Mart had these mystery tins for baseball (1) Hobby (1) Fatty, but in the pics it showed a crappy hobby pack from Japan, so I put it back. You know that's the one you are going to get out of it. Nice Carr, I pulled a Purple Tom Brady out of 14 Prizm a couple years ago, got a GM 10 on it and sold it for $1K. There is def some money in those packs.

I ripped a basketball one earlier along with the football one. The basketball is definitely better imo. I actually pulled a Hoops Luka rookie out of the loose cards in the black box!

Makes sense, as the little black boxes are most likely assembled by people that don't know much about sports cards. I've pulled a few wow rookies from those black boxes.
Yooo I went to school with Martin Rucker. He lived down the street with me. You'll no doubt remember his brother, Mike Rucker who played for the Panthers. He was a Defensive End from like 1999 to 07 and he actually made a pro bowl I think in 03.

Theres proly like 1 in a 1,000 thats good. Shelevs are literally overflowing with score right now. I wish that they had select wwe or merlin still on the shelves. Only had that out for like 4 weeks and it was pooular but then never brought it back but score and crap can sit there and be out for months and months.
Merlin is the 🐐🐐🐐. I see it every week at Meijers it’s awesome man. But yeah man score is pretty ehhhh. I opened some and wasn’t a big fan

You should see my Walmart, LOADED now. The scalpers and flippers leave about 95% of the stuff. Last restock, they were actually taking stuff BACK. It's that full now.

Here's my guess. You are right about using leftover stock. I also believe for the little black boxes they use damaged blasters opened blasters, etc. Same for the packs you get. Probably damaged blasters and returns.

That was before the scalpers and flippers raided the restock. I remember pre 2020 the loaded mystery boxes and cubes. Now you get whatever the flippers don't want. I can only imagine the mystery boxes MJ did from 2012-2018 when the hobby was near dead.

I pulled a sweet kurt warner 2000 topps auto out of these.
This is so typical of them, the very first Baseball and Basketball Mega Mystery Power Boxes were very good, the football were crap right out of the gate. These are actually better than the first football ones, but then they get everyone excited about a specific mystery product, and then the second and third itterations get worse and worse, but people still buy them because they got us hooked on the original great ones.
