“This is going to be the last big ticket item” 😂 famous last words - lol. Well, at least you’ve got yourself recorded when you do your next unveiling of your next big ticket item - be a nice segment in that future video 😉
Love the reaction when you turned it on. Like a kid at Christmas. I just got a planer and felt the same way…lol. Should be years of enjoyment out of your new bandsaw.
Congrats on the upgrade and kudos for this not being another sponsored/gifted product video. I avoid those these days as they almost always turn out to be pointless marketing speak and sales pitch drivel.
Cheers pal, I hear what you’re saying about the gifted videos. I hope you understand from the creators point why they do them. Gifted generally means you can still say what you want, sponsored not so as you’ll have to stick to the script. I’ve done some gifted videos as I’m trying to turn what was a hobby into a business. What I will say personally though is I won’t take on a gifted or sponsored opportunity unless it is something I really believe in and would use or buy myself. I hope that makes sense from my personal point of view 😀😀👍👍
Excellent to see the Laguna has landed, to say you are excited would be an understatement I think. Looking forward to seeing it in action and some projects made using it. Congratulations Leo, well chuffed for you.
She's a beauty, sorry they are a beauty. Saw one in a shop in Ireland and they look like pure quality. Anyway here's to many many years of ripping, enjoy
congretz mate :) Some of the biggest plus I think, is that it's much safer to work with (kickback, ......) and a smaller "footprint" on the floor compared to the table saw. I see that you would dance of joy ;-) I'm looking foreward to see you working with it (and dancing :p )
Nice one pal, you’re exactly right on both counts. Footprint and issues like potential kickback were two big reasons I opted for the bandsaw ahead of a cabinet saw 👍👍
Congratulations! I know that you are going to love that new bandsaw! But don't ditch the Ferrex. I have a big Axminster bandsaw - not as big as your Laguna, but one of their larger models. More recently, I bought a Ferrex, partly as a back-up but mainly because I'm too lazy to be changing blades all the time 🙂. Having had a smaller Axminster in the past, I'm impressed by the Ferrex. It is a remarkably capable machine for the price. A word of warning. Don't start making bandsaw boxes. The damn things are incredibly addictive 🙂 And a hint: Tuffsaws blades are excellent! I'm looking forward to seeing your bandsaw projects!
Cheers for the message and you’re absolutely right, the Ferrex isn’t going anywhere. I’ve got a Tuffsaws blade on it and it works very well so will come in handy for the little jobs. The Laguna came with 3 Woodpecker blades so will be interesting to see how they perform 😀👍
Fantastic! Huge congrats Leo! I looked (looked only being the important bit) at a Laguna tablesaw a while ago and fell in love with it. Looking forward to seeing a massive blade on there and resawing beasty bits of wood! 👍
Cheers Dean, yes I have to say their products ooze quality. It’s the attention to detail that really caught my eye, very impressed and really well made 😀👍
Cheers Dean, yes I have to say their products ooze quality. It’s the attention to detail that really caught my eye, very impressed and really well made 😀👍
Congratulations Leo, you looked like the cat that’s got the proverbial cream! Aside from the safety considerations over a table saw the bandsaw will probably be better at ripping large pieces of wood; with a table saw you’re a lot moe limited in cut depth. Looking forward to seeing it in operation soon. But will you be able to get used to the quiet sound of it? My Ferrex rattles and groans as the blade runs over the rollers, makes quite a racket
Thanks Geoffrey. When I focused my attention on what I actually needed a machine for after doing the table saw video, the bandsaw seemed the logical answer. Really looking forward to properly putting it through its paces 😀👍
Nice bandsaw and I totally understand why you went for a bandsaw instead of a table saw ... enjoy 👍 I find it very strange how the price of a bandsaw seems to go up exponentially depending on it's size of wheels and that's why I'll be building my own (the BAM-460)... same cutting dimensions as the Laguna, can tilt to 70 degrees and also functions as a mill (can tilt forward to horizontal) and cost ever so slightly less than the Laguna 😁
Lovely piece of Kit, Leo. ....and a Laguna? the rolls Royce of bandsaws! I suspect those THREE Horses and that foot brake will be put to good use for a one handed operator! ... and I don't mean just turning it on and off again! 😀👍
Hi Leo, looks a fabulous machine. I might have bought the 14" version instead of my Record Power Sabre if I had known about them at the time although it would have been expensive to deliver to France separately ( I got a package deal for all my machines at once). I like the Record a lot but yours does have a bigger motor in the 14" and a few nice features. Enjoy it as I am sure you will. I love using mine. Mike PS I bet you won't keep the little one once you've used the new one a few times. Chalk and cheese! Maybe for small wavy things to avoid changing blades, I hadn't thought of that one as changing blades is a bit tricky.
Cheers Mike, yes getting this couriered to France would probably cost the same as the saw😂😂. I’m definitely keeping the Ferrex and it’ll still come in handy for small jobs with a smaller blade fitted 👍👍
Looks awesome. I was saying to a mate t'other day...if i'd bought a bandsaw and a thicknesser first I wouldn't have bothered with a table saw. I look forward to seeing you using it. How about that result sunday eh? As Len Goodman would say, 'SEVEEEEEN.' 🤣 YNWA
🤔 I'm dissapointed... that space in the workshop was earmarked for a hot-tub 😆😆. I must admit the Laguna looks awesome... I'm not jealous or anything ..... but if you don't like it... you can send it my way 😆😆. Nice one Leo, well deserved 😁👍
Sorry to hear about this. I literally had over 50 enquiries of ‘can I come and get it now’! I could of maybe sold it for a few quid but tbh I just wanted rid of it
Well done Leo That is a real beast and a very wise investment. I must admit I thought the new machine might be a drum sander but I fully get where you're coming from with respect to the table saw. I suggest you take a look at the Bow Products Guide Pro bandsaw guide: Axminster sell them - I use one for resawing and it's a real boon. It might just make life easier operating the bandsaw single-handedly. Take care... All the best, Mark
👍👍👍 So I'm not the only one who talks to workshop tools😁
I thought everyone did 🤔😀👍
I have just discovered that “bandsaw envy” is a thing!
Maybe I need to start offering therapy sessions pal 🤔🤷♂️😂👍

😂😂😂😂😂That’s brilliant Matt, I’ll do exactly this if this situation ever occurs 😂👍

Wow, Leo, that's a serious bit of kit 😁👍
Seriously is pal, fantastic machine 😀👍
Congratulations friend, your channel has grown very nicely since I first subscribed. Another great video.
Thank you, 🤞it keeps heading in the right direction 😀😀👍👍
Well done Leo. You seem genuinely so happy with the purchase. That opening scene was great.
I really am so happy with this purchase pal. And cheers for the feedback on the vid 😀👍

The smile on your face :) Good luck with the new bandsaw.
Thanks John, and I still can’t take the smile off my face 😀😀👍👍
It’s a beauty, Leo. Great choice. I think you’ll be very happy together 😎
I think so Mandy ❤️😀👍
Now that does look like a lovely piece of kit Leo.
Steve, it’s fantastic pal 😀😀. Made up with it 👍
Love the reaction when you turned it on. Like a kid at Christmas. I just got a planer and felt the same way…lol. Should be years of enjoyment out of your new bandsaw.
Even after I’d finished filming Mike, I kept switching it on and off 😂😂😂😂
Wow - that’s awesome! Think you’re gonna enjoy that!
Thanks Matt and yes certainly am looking forward to getting to grips with it 😀👍
An absolutely fantastic looking bandsaw, I was looking at one of these in yandles about a month ago, look the dogs nuts that's for sure
Nice one James, yes it certainly is fantastic 😀👍. Looks like they’re expanding in the U.K. now 😀👍
Great addition to your shop, will be much safer
Absolutely Vern, took ages to make a decision but think I’ve made the right choice 😀👍
Nice one, Leo. You have an industrial quality machine there, it'll last you a lifetime. That mobile base is nice, single phase as well.👍Tony
Cheers Tony, it’s a huge investment but when you look at it as a ‘lifetime’ machine it was worth the outlay 😀😀👍👍
Nice peace of machinery. Can't wait to see how you are going top tackle a one handed blade change.
Cheers Frank and watch this space on the blade change 🤷♂️🤔😀👍
Tool "naughty" video🤣🤣🤣 Great machine!
😂😂😂😂Absolutely pal 😂😂😂👍👍

Hi Leo if I had that in my workshop I wouldn’t be able to fit anything else in. Looks like a great peace of kit 👍👍
It is on the big side Andy, it literally towers over the 14BX and that isn’t a small machine 😳🤩

"Well wear" as we say in this neck of the woods! :)
😂😂👍👍

Brilliant Jim, thanks very much pal 😀👍

Nice one Philip, yes it really is a thing of beauty and really looking forward to properly putting it through its paces 😀👍
Wow! What an addition. Would love to get my hands on one of those. Best of luck with it. Looking forward to seeing it in action 👏🏼
Thanks Mark and yes it is a fantastic machine 👍👍👍😀😀😀
That Laguna really does look like a beautiful piece of kit. Will be interesting to see how your relationship goes.
It is stunning Ben, really well made😀👍

Nice one buddy Laguna products do look nice bits of kit.👍
Cheers Rasmo, yes they are fantastic bits of kit 😀😀👍👍
Nice one Leo. Good choice.
Thanks Wil, lots of research and thought gone into this but I think I’ve made the right choice 😀👍
Cracking bit of kit.
It certainly is pal 😀😀👍👍
And there was me hoping you’d be getting rid of the ferry and I could have put my hand up for it 😎
Definitely keeping hold of it pal😀😀👍👍

They really are pal😀😀👍👍

Cheers Grumpa and yes that foot brake became a ‘necessity’ more than a ‘luxury’ when I was looking at different models and makes 😀👍
Nooice!
🤩💪😀👍

😂😂😂😂. Thanks Norman 😀👍

Well the week started great with the result Stephen and it has just got better 😀😀👍👍

You put the idea of the hot tub in my head Frank 😂😂😂😂. Oh and trust me the only time this will be moved is when the walls come down first 😂💪😀👍

You are going to need a bigger workshop
🤣
‘We’re going to need a bigger boat’ 😂😂😂
I actually saw your table saw on market place but I was too late 😢
Sorry to hear about this. I literally had over 50 enquiries of ‘can I come and get it now’! I could of maybe sold it for a few quid but tbh I just wanted rid of it
@@Hand-i-Craft trust me it's a good thing I missed it. Not sure I could get away with sneaking another tool past the wife.
Have you won the lottery??? 😂
Only if you see one of their wide belt sanders in here as well 😂😂😂
Looks nice Leo shame you mispronounced Projects yet again, but never mind 🤣🤣
I do try pal, but the odd slip here and there 😂😂😂
With ambition you will always run out of space, if you have space on your walls give up now you don’t need a workshop 😂
What a fantastic phrase 😀😀😀👍👍🤩🤩

Nice one Mark, I’ll look into this. Cheers for the heads up 😀😀
