    The NBA did him wrong, man. They didn't say much about Dennis Rodman's colorful ass. I love Rodman, by the way. But, still, Iverson was just as good. Hell, he was better. I'm glad he's getting acknowledged for the things he's done in basketball. I definitely see him in the Hall Of Fame.

    whats special about Allen? Even though he been through so much in his life, he never changed his beliefs and how he feels about life. He kept it real since he entered the league and still keeps it real, no matter what. I was only 2 when he got drafted and im from Philly, so I followed his career ever since I can remember. I love Iverson. I wish he could have went out the NBA in a uniform, but im satisfied with what he accomplished, and how he helped shape today's game. guys like CP3 and Kyrie helps me remember AI.. Much love AI, I hope to see you as an offensive coach with the sixers or something. Your not done with this game lol. Much Love!

He sacrificed his self for the game and the players. In my eyes he was a prophet when it comes to basketball. He was what everybody wanted to be and sacrificed for it. a girl with a long hair then decides to cut her hair shorts feel empowered, a guy that wants/chooses to be bald wants to be different, people here don't know that cutting your hair has an impact, it shows your personality, 30+ yrs old still in corn rows will still act like the teenager with corn rows, stephen a. smith said he's a sensational athlete he just never grew up, if he cut his hair decently he would've been more responsible that's why he's always making bad decisions, not practicing, showing up late etc. he coudl've had rings if he just put the effort, he's pure talent he's sensational he's an mvp i know but he could've been up there with jordan,kobe,lebron,magic,bird etc. im not judging allen and you all know im not lying about his attitude you guys be the judge.

    • @boypula
      @boypula 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Rap Brown why are you mad? im not judging allen, im just saying he's better than this, he could've won atleast 4 rings if he practiced, he didn't get what practice is it's not just about improving his game, it's how he syncs with his team mates, and yes if he cut his hair decently david stern would still allow him to play ball he wan't his athletes to look proffesional that's why he implemented the dress code also, isn't it a bit strange that allen didn't get a team to sign him eventhough he is 2 years in free agency? it's because he lacks respect for work ethic.

    • @twinkle152000
      @twinkle152000 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's really not about the braids, cause that's how blacks/african american's keep their hair down. It's not about the long hair (cause it's just hair), it's not about the tats (he had A LOT) but the attitude and drama. Keep in mind when he got into drama the braids/tats aided in the drama. Kawhi Leonard has braids, but look at his demeanor, he doesn't talk much and just plays the game. You don't hear about any drama off the court either. If more guys with braids were like Leonard I don't think there would be an image problem.

    • @theresamahfouz790
      @theresamahfouz790 10 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      boypula AI was portrayed as not having work ethic, but that wasn't actually true circa 2001 and beyond. He worked very hard in practice and his game actually improved. He was a tiny guy so he was often plagued with multiple injuries, and he often used the summer to heal his body while just doing some very light conditioning. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that - in fact, to me it makes sense. He also is 4th all time in NBA history in minutes played per game - averaging like 41 minutes per game for his career. That is incredibly impressive, especially for a guy who weighs what he weighed... what 155 lbs.? Unfortunately AI was just never surrounded by the right players or great coaches post the Larry Brown era, and the years after his MVP year, he was injured a lot and his team lost most of the games he sat out so they did not clinch great play-off seeds. But even the year of AI's infamous "practice" interview, he only missed 1 practice (and it was because he was hurt), and a lot of people didn't realize that was a touchy subject for him because his best friend who used to drop him off and pick him up from practice was murdered a few months before that interview. So I have to disagree. The media harped on him for things he actually changed and improved on. And there were times when he showed tremendous class while still maintaining who he was. Remember the 2004 Olympic Games? He carried himself like a complete class act despite other USA basketball players giving the U.S. a bad name. Also, when AI cut his hair short later in his career, it didn't magically take away his problems, LMAO. Cornrows are easier to manage. Plain and simple. That's why a lot of guys have them, even when they are older. Not because they are trying to make a fashion statement. AI even said he has them because he didn't have the patience to try to manage his hair, lol, and trust me - I've seen videos and pictures after he has cut his hair short, and it looks AWFUL after a while. He's terrible at managing his hair. lol. The reason AI's career ended is 1) a lot of personal problems that he wasn't able to deal with and took his mind off basketball, 2) injury - by the end of his career, he was diagnosed with arthritis in his knees among other conditions, and 3) negative attention from the media, which placed fear in the minds of coaches and teams who did not know him personally. Larry Brown stood up for him and got fired. That's just how it was. AI's coming off the bench rants were blown out of proportion. He just didn't like being lied to and wanted respect and that's fair.

    How the h3ll do you cut back on tattoos? They are already there. And cornrows dont have anything to do with being a good father. As a matter of fact as of today he cut his hair twice since growing his hair out. And as of today he has braids. Why? Because that’s who he is and what makes him feel comfortable. What makes him my hero is he never changed, acted or spoke in a certain way to make others comfortable. He’s going to always be him.

      Did you take that from A Bronx Tale, lol? I don't think AI wasted his talent. He is a first ballot hall of famer based on his accomplishments and will go down as an all time great (probably top 25 all time) and one of the greatest little men to ever play the game (definitely the best 6' under guard to ever play). He had a great career despite his traumatizing childhood and adolescent years, more personal problems he faced as an adult, and his small size. His "ego" was blown out of proportion by the media. Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant have bigger egos than AI did. AI is also not broke. Don't believe the myth. He gets 1 million dollars a year from an annuity account. I do think he's emotionally a broken person, but anyone who walked in his shoes for his entire life would be - his life story was truly sad. I think he'll be okay. It seems he's come out of his downward spiral and his life is not over.

      Gumball Gilbert LMAO. Nice. You know who wasted their talent ironically? That guy who played teenage Calegero in that movie. .Allen Iverson didn't waste his talent. As I said before, he accomplished more than any other player his size (6' under) ever has, just got his jersey retired in Philadelphia, and is a first ballot hall of famer. For his size and the way he played (relentlessly attacking the hole and playing with multiple injuries), it was expected that his career wasn't going to last well into his 30s. 12 years of elite, hall of fame caliber basketball is not too shabby. I'd say to some AI actually overachieved.

    I cannot believe that nbatv would have such an ignorant, close-minded doofus on their payroll. Dennis Scott should not be allowed to give his opinions on any serious subjects while getting paid to do so.
    Having a bald fade or bald head and eliminating tattoos has absolutely nothing to do with being a better father, son, partner, brother, or human being.
    This is the first I`ve watched this video all the way to the end and this will certainly be the last time.
    On top of everything else he thinks that he is a personal friend of Iverson yet he doesn`t know that Iverson is from "NEWSPORT NEWS", Virginia. He doesn`t know that Allen played both quarterback and cornerback/safety in high school, NOT WIDE RECEIVER. He doesn`t know that Iverson was always READY to play when the officials tossed up the jump ball. He doesn`t know that Iverson is the only one and always has been the only one to provide for his children without financial assistance from anyone else and that they are living and will continue to live well thanks to him.
    People who actually call themselves friends of his make up stories about Iverson just to be relevant for 1 minute out of an 8 minute video smh
    This type of unwarranted criticism and hatred directed towards A.I. along with his on court achievements are the reasons why Allen Iverson is GOAT.
