The Siege Chopper's artillery fire is basically Tiberian Sun's Artillery shot, it's always a guarantee to hit it. If remastered, this needs to be addressed against moving vehicles.
Pls no. I don't want it be like in Firestorm where they're effectively rendered useless because they can't track targets anymore. The Siege Chopper is like, the only decent T3 unit the Soviets have in the meta.

If it was then it should be easy to pick-up and play suboptimally at a high level and still win. There is a reason why Yuri used to be banned in comp, is because it doesn't take too much to amass the Yuri deathball and a-move to victory with very little counterplay-Yuri was OP until the community balance patch made nerfed the faction to be at least semi-decent to fight against. The Soviet Meta is just so tight that nearly every top player is a Soviet(Iraq) main but it's far from OP.
@@dracmeister to the degree of 90% sov win rate on s class? Those balance patches are barley used in the community and not at all in the ladder. (They had an allied power plant buff at one stage) You're also comparing FFA games with the ladder. Yuri is actually weak vs sov. Free for all or casual team games is a totally different dynamic
Siege choppers don't self repair and can't be repaired at the service depot. Only a Repair IFV can repair them. Unfortunately that's not something the Soviets have.
I hope they added more range to it to compensate for the slow speed of deploying before fire. Maybe +2 range wouldn't hurt just so a group of them can actually bomb static AA and thus actually be a useful siege unit.
It's too bad there's no way to properly test them both against the Nod Artillery from Tiberian Sun. That thing is so broken, it could probably one shot both the Prism Tank and Siege Chopper, at the same time, from clear across the map.
@@BlameThandeThey nerfed it by removing its tracking. It used to be able to hit moving targets but they made like the Juggernaut but worse. Which is really bad since Nod Artillery was like the only decent option for ground units at T3 that isn't Banshee spam.
Yeah, they shouldve just made it cost more. That and Juggernaut were useless unless just laming against the AI, which takes forever to lame any way.@@dracmeister
I'm making my own mod. It's a long job, but I'm working on the balance in the game. The helicopter is much weaker than the prism tank, this is from practice. Everything will be a little different, but I promise it will be interesting and epic

It's not a guarantee hit, very fast units or terrain location of the target might affect accuracy

Ha, I did not know that Prism tank have some sort of an exhaust system to let the heat out before it reloads to fire again.
Prisms are way easier to use, as AA can fire on Siege Choppers range.
Also they can't be repaired.

and they also fire multiple shots at elite
for some more money i guess
The prism is better. A prism with a battle fortress. Even Kirov will not give such a result

Vanilla Tiberian Sun - they nerfed it in Firestorm IIRC.
