I am Indian and reside in Austria. I did my MBA from one elite business school of India. Recently one my Pakistani friend told me about LUMS, I had not believed. But it is age of Internet. I saw the campus. Really out standing. I hope one day I will visit this institute.
This university is only for rich people in my opinion and i am sure i cant even afford the first semester fee.....😦😦😣😢😭great institute with such an amazing environment

I am Huzefa doing BS History from QAU. Prior to getting admission in QAU, it was my desire to be a part of this renowned institute, anyhow, I didn't get admission there in LUMS. But now AlhamdulilAllah, I feel proud to be a part of Quaid-I-Azam Uni, Islamabad, which is also a prestigious institute. Quaidian once, Quaidian forever. ❤️
Lums is an amazing University, no doubt, but its still ranked 701. Even though it tops Pakistani charts, wouldn't a company prefer a graduate from say the University of Singapore which is ranked the best in Asia or some university in the US which competes Worldwide? I am an undergrad at the best university in the Mid-east (279 world ranking). I wanted to do my MBA at Lums but I feel its a step down since it won't be much valuable outside Pakistan. Still, Respect.
does not matter which university. As long as you have grounded yourself in knowledge and are able to apply that knowledge. Going to the top university does not mean anything. Many tyrants of the world are top university grads.

I been there on an official visit recently,they are highly cultured people I don't know why people criticise them we found them very cooperative, I was feeling I wasn't in Pakistan it was some other place, people don't gaze at you, they don't make faces if you speak English because they take it as a normal language, they guide you well. I think it was all sheerly superb. I am happy we have this sort of University in Pakistan.

Google ka CEO bhi IIT ka product hai aur Microsoft ka CEO bhi India me Engineering complete kiya tha apna.
1) G Yahan lums may bhi admission test ki basis or hota hai jo k "SAT international" hai. Is k Baad phir second entrance test bhi hota hai jo k ye university khud banati hai. Then agr dono test clear ho gae, keeping in mind k in tests may highest marks nhi chahye like for instance agr kisi ka SAT score 1400 hai or dusray ka 1200 to ho saktay hai k 1200 walay ka admission ho jae or 1400 walay ka na ho. Is ki reason ye hai k university ap ki application bhi dekhti hai or interview bhi leti hai jok also ap k admission secure krnay k lea important hain. Han ye BAAT ap ki theek hai k is ki fee zyada hai but ye 1 private university hai but deserving students ko scholarships bhi mil jati hai. 2) Pakistan may bhi bht sari government universities hain Jin ki fees bht km hain.like Yahan ki Jo government ki to medical university hai os ki annual fee just 50000 hai jo k Indian currency may 15000 say bhi km bantay hain. Similar fees other universities ki bhi hain thora opar nichay kr k. Similarly Jo top 2 engineering universities hain 1 ki fee indian currency may less than 50000 or dusri ki less than 25000 hai. 3) Yahan sb universities apna test Khud conduct krti hain or "SAT" bhi accept krti hain. it's not necessary to go to lums. I got rejected from LUMS nd ended up having an MBA from UK and ICAEW. One should have the desire to succeed, the institution does not matter.

What if being in LUMS is not an achievement for them as big as it was for you? I hope you are not gonna force it on them... Love to see my motherland progressing i the world, I'm a Pakistani living in the UK since I was 2 years old and let me tell you, LUMs is something that I would consider a world class university as I have been there many times on my visits to Lahore. I love to see Pakistan being shown in good light, most of my British Pakistani friends who hardly go to to Pakistan, think of Pakistan as some backwards village where no one is educated but I constantly tell them its not like that. Inshallah all of Pakistan becomes like this, I wish to one day move back to my homeland and see it flourish in a way it has never before.
I m from Bangladesh. Its just wow. But in Bangladesh no one knows about any Pakistani University. Now its time to change go ahead. we hope one day we will also build a University like LUMS In Bangladesh In Sha Allah.

anyhow, that's expensive one. but I know their graduates who directly have seats of grade 17/+, most of them don't go for govt. job, rather they do start their own business or a managerial seat in international firms directly outta their alma. Han ye BAAT ap ki theek hai k is ki fee zyada hai but ye 1 private university hai but deserving students ko scholarships bhi mil jati hai.
2) Pakistan may bhi bht sari government universities hain Jin ki fees bht km hain.like Yahan ki Jo government ki to medical university hai os ki annual fee just 50000 hai jo k Indian currency may 15000 say bhi km bantay hain. Similar fees other universities ki bhi hain thora opar nichay kr k.
Similarly Jo top 2 engineering universities hain 1 ki fee indian currency may less than 50000 or dusri ki less than 25000 hai.
3) Yahan sb universities apna test Khud conduct krti hain or "SAT" bhi accept krti hain. JB medical universities k lea 1 hi test conduct hota hai.

Love to see my motherland progressing i the world, I'm a Pakistani living in the UK since I was 2 years old and let me tell you, LUMs is something that I would consider a world class university as I have been there many times on my visits to Lahore. I love to see Pakistan being shown in good light, most of my British Pakistani friends who hardly go to to Pakistan, think of Pakistan as some backwards village where no one is educated but I constantly tell them its not like that. Inshallah all of Pakistan becomes like this, I wish to one day move back to my homeland and see it flourish in a way it has never before.
