Hectors parts seem quite calm. I see it as hector just being slow, enjoying the fact that the gus will finally be dead, and by him no less, and he’s enjoying toying with (the) gus

He finally has the chance to take off the "stoic businessman" facade and vent about how much he hates Hector and gloat about how he destroyed the Cartel, and in front of his own eyes, no less. Just one final "fuck you" before killing him.
My theory is that with pupils due to how the sprites work it would look like Gus notices the bomb and reacts immediately since he would be looking at Hector until the end Instead without pupils we don't know what he's looking at, so like in the original scene he probably noticed the bomb a few seconds before, but still reacted too late to avoid the explosion
idea: once the pipe bomb explodes, theres a few second of silence with a dark screen then we see gus getting up and singing a few more notes and then he dies (just like in breaking bad)
