for sure this guy is an awsome riq player but i dont like the sound of this particulsr riq especially when he is in the shaking/open position. you ask why??? because its not dry, it has no articulation while shaking. it is like super wet. you only hear sshshshshshsh no edge articulation. the sound of the soft position is nice. and when he plays the cymbals with the fingers he has to dampen the cymbal too much. so its not an easy playable riq. my personal conclusion: too loud/wet, not dry enough. too much handling control is needed. and i dont know the balance between the overall weight of the cymbals to the rest of the instrument, like frame, skin and mechanichs. it looks unbalanced. but hey, he is a great player.
