    The Dispatch Master is one of the few pedals out today that combines delay and reverb in a compact design. Earthquaker lets you use each effect on their own or together to create unique interactions and deep, wondrous spaces.
    The digital delay has a range of 0-1.5 seconds. The repeats are fine tuned to not lose control and there maximum setting and the reason is twofold: infinite repeats allow you to create complex soundscapes by layer licks or volume swells but it can also work in favor on the reverb side by increasing decay and complexity in the reverb tails.
    The Dispatch master is created by hand in Akron, Ohio and features an analog dry signal and true bypass switching. Power requirement: standard 9VDC adapter.

    I was never much into the rockabilliy and 50s rock'n'roll slap-back echo and reverb-y delay, but at 3:34 I must admit it sounds extremely authentic and... well, just fantastic. If I was playing that kind of music, I would probably skip all vintage pieces and other more complicated (&more expensive) boutique stuff, and buy this on the spot.

    • @stephenvale937
      @stephenvale937 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It just can't compete with the Caverns reverb for me

    • @andrewstendahl36
      @andrewstendahl36 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I feel the Keely Caverns sounds a bit too processed. Dispatch Master is warmer and less digitally voiced. Only drawback with the Dispatch Master is that it just has the one on and off button- if you want to turn off the delay or the reverb youll need to reach over to the pedal by hand to turn their separate dials as youre playing. The advent of two separate reverb and delay buttons plus one button to turn both effects on and off together would have properly completed this pedal

      The DL4 is a classic man. I’ve had one for like 13 years and It’s still hanging in there. I still use it all the time.
      Another great option for a multi delay pedal to try different delay types, is the EHX Canyon. It is surprisingly good. The Shimmer delay and the Deluxe Memory man settings are worth the price alone.

    Just a heads up to anyone thinking of buying this unit, there is no plug for nine volt battery like I was told by the salesman. Buy the optional power supply.

    So I am wondering, I have a small pedal board for the op of my amp with a chorus, delay and verb on it. They are ALWAYS on and pretty sublet. This is for more hard rock/metal. I use a bit of plate or hall with a 500-550ms delay mixed low and for only 1 or 2 repeats. This goes through the loop of my Splawn Quick Rod. Wondering if this would be a good solve for simplicity sake?

    • @markchaney1727
      @markchaney1727 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think this would be ideal for your needs. The reverb reminds me of a plate reverb, and the delay sounds great for that kinda stuff. I love this pedal because it can be really subtle or it can get crazy.

    How does this compare to their Avalanche Run pedal?

    • @eternity9099
      @eternity9099 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mark S
      Avalanche Run is basically an upgraded version of this pedal. Some of the added features include the Avalanche run is stereo, it has reverse delay, digital, and analog settings, modulation, the ability to swell, looping functionality, a momentary switch that triggers self oscillation... The Dispatch Master is a much simpler pedal that sounds great on almost any setting. Just plug in and play.
      Hope this helps.

    I currently use an MXR Carbon Copy for delay, and the TC Hall of Fame for reverb. Do you think it'd be worth it to invest in this pedal? I'm not really all that picky about my tone, love good reverb and delay though. This pedal is nearly $200 so I don't want to buy it with out a second opinion. Thanks everyone!

    • @isitastranger9428
      @isitastranger9428 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi friend!
      Firstly, I love the carbon copy, and I have a hall of fame. I'm currently using a memory boy delay, there's just something about the warmth it has to it.
      Secondly, id like to ask you, what do you intend on doing with your reverb and delays? What are you looking for in a reverb/delay? Less space on your pedalboard? Infinite repeats? Huge sounding reverb? What about this pedal sounded great to you? The carbon copy and hall of fame are such a great combination, and you can get so so much out of just those two pedals, so I don't feel as though you need this pedal, however, if you love the way this sounds, and you want to save space by not having individual reverbs and delays, then I would absolutely go with this (or a chuck pedals Blue Dream V2).
      Cheers on your tone quest (it's gonna be a long one).

    something is clipping in this video, noticeable in intro playing. It doesn't sound like pedal, amp, or speaker. Maybe something in the recording chain.

      It's just the Deluxe Reverb overdriving a little from the rush of delay and reverb signals being a bit full. Deluxe volume was always about 3-4 on the volume, this is what happens sometimes.

    Do understand that half volume on passive pickups get rid of that crunch and it sounds much prettier. I'm not talkin on the amp, i mean on the guitar knob. Its really does sound gross to have crunch on a should be glassy tone.

    I see a ".com" mirroring on the guitar. Is Andy seeing Proguitarshop.com propaganda all day long? :-)

    It feels dishonest that he's playing all these time-based licks on a pedal with no tap tempo... It would be almost impossible to use the pedal this way live.
