Hats off for Jack Gleeson who spent 4 years playing an absolute bastard for all of us to hate. He truly portrayed Joffrey amazingly whilst being the exact opposite from Joffrey in real life😂
And now Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) has a chance to work again. It's going to be hard for Jack Gleeson to find work that isn't type cast. Happened to Ted Levine (Silence Of The Lambs), he didn't start getting good work again until he was old enough that he didn't look like Buffalo Bill anymore.
I also read that between filming the Ramsay/theon torture scenes Iwan Rheon wouldn't leave Alfie Allens side because sometimes they had to leave him strapped up and he didn't want him to be alone.
Jack Gleeson (Joffrey) is now retired from acting. He’s wary of the concept of celebrity and is continuing his education. I’ve heard that Jack produces stage theatre for children and organizes other charitable events. He was quite possibly the nicest person on the entire GoT cast.

18:59 it’s moments like that that make me wish we had seen a little more of Tyrion and Sansa as man and wife. Not necessarily fall in love, but just see them grow closer, more protective of each other, and gain respect for each other. Let Tyrion have at least one ally in the world that isn’t working for him
Jack gleeson who plays joffrey did such a great job...its a shame he didn't got an emmy nomination.....its more outstanding that he is the sweetest and honest person in real life.....thanks jack gleeson for this amazing character
Everyone loved him when he got one of Batmans toys so he could prove he saw him to the other kids........ and this role, is why he quit acting. Can you imagine the IRL hate? :P
Moonw1ng > So that's the only reason. Right, fine to it until now, All other stuff, great, now was to peruse high school?... I agree that's what he said, in required places he had to talk about it. BUT CAN YOU IMAGINE THE HATE. Most kid actors, loved, generally. Even adults have problems with this, in a hated role, and even back to like TV shows that didn't pay much "soaps", a daily show. Just the way he sits in the Iron throne, see, that's great shit. :P Hope he doesn't get old-ugly, can still look shithead, come back. :p..... Marvel 2050.
the crown passes to the closest male relative - in this case joffreys younger brother tommen. That's why Stannis is the righful king of the baratheon line atm since he was the older brother (still younger then) robert, but older then Renly before he died. The crown would only pass to a female is there are no male candidates alive. The hand is only an advisor, has no claim to the throne - and since tywin is a lannister and the throne belongs to the baratheons, he will never have claim - he would have to take the throne if he wanted it.
Well, about Robert Baratheon, the rule says that when he dies the crown has to pass to his eldest son, that is Jeoffrey Baratheon. But Stannis claims that Robert children are not Baratheons but Lannisters, not his true heirs, so they have no claim to the throne, that's why the next in the line of succession is Stannis.
Stannis would still be the lawful heir even if females had the same inheritance rights in Westeros. All of Cersei and Robert's children are bastards, therefore disqualified from the succession. The only other Baratheons are Stannis and Renly, Stannis is older than Renly therefore Stannis is the rightful heir.
i rly liked Nikki's theory about Cersei trying to Poison margaery :) when i saw it the first time i immediatly thought that tywin was behind it, since joffrey was such a pain in the ass as king and more or less controlable for only so long…
No spoiler because succession has been discussed previously, but since Joffrey had no true born children Robert’s next son gets the throne, so it goes to Joffrey’s little brother Tommen. That’s why Stannis had a claim to be king, if Robert didn’t have any true born children, the next in line is his eldest male sibling. Ned was supposed to be regent until Joffrey came of age, but Cersei ripped it up and took over that role herself. This was discussed in seasons one and two so I don’t blame you guys for not remembering all of that.
Age Of The Witch - Wait are you referring to the actor that plays Joffery? or what are you saying exactly? (my bad, I'm having trouble understanding your comment)

The glasses!!! Yay! I'm just happy they got to you. :-) Yes, Ramsey is a...troubled child. To put it mildly. Joffrey getting even a fraction of Ned's sword hurts my very soul. That back and forth between Oberyn, Cersei, and Tywin is fantastic. The whole 'War of the Five Kings' fiasco is awful, but I think it's Sansa's face that just completely breaks my heart. The scene where she hands Tyrion the cup is one of my favorites between them. No words, but it shows there's respect in their (admittedly very tenuous) relationship. And then you have Margaery, the Queen of Distractions! And Joffrey is dead!!! Huzzah!! Jack Gleeson did such an amazing job with Joffrey. And I honestly felt bad for all of two seconds because of Lena Headey's performance. Until she started screaming about Tyrion.
I really love this episode because of how you can see Sansa's full opinion of Tyrion really change. She really emphasizes with him with the way Joffrey is treating him in this episode. She needs to see the Tyrion that we see, and this is her finally seeing him.
Always love the reactions...especially today! Yes, the pie had white doves inside. He chopped so hard with "Widow's Wail" he killed a few doves inside while freeing the others to great effect. This wedding was just fantastic. The sets....even the costumes of the "War of the Five Kings" participants were just great. Oberyn is the king of insults right up there with Cersei.
I was expecting that too, but back when I first watched it: 1. I didn't realize the non-bright side of losing a fun character to hate until I was done dancing around. 2. I really enjoyed watching him choke on his own lungs, but man that was quality acting. When I first saw this, I was extremely impressed and very happy.
The pie was squab, aka Pigeon meat, and it was also stuffed with some live white doves (albino pigeons really) when Joffrey the compartment open to free the doves, he swung like a brute as he does and killed a couple that ended encrusted in the pie beneath. That's what the close up showed before they started eating.
Just wanna put a little note in here that I'm a relatively new viewer but you two seem like the loveliest people and I really enjoy your reactions. I hope your channel continues to grow and be successful and I'm happy to be along for the ride. :)
The only thing that would have made this episode better is if they would have killed every lannister there (except for Tyrion). Cersei & Jaime are both just as evil as Joffry (kids learn their behavior from their parents). More so really for inbreeding and creating their inbred demon spawn. Not to mention they're child murderers. Bran surviving is irrelevant as their intent was to kill him and their intent is what matters. Then they sent an assassin when they found out he didn't die from the fall. There is no redemption for that.
Another fabulous episode! Man, has anyone ever had a peaceful wedding in the GoT world? Who knows! For the record this wedding is known as "The Purple Wedding"-purple for royalty and for the color Joffrey's face turned as he died.
Reliving watching this through you guys has made me appreciate again how good this show is. They even give you an Agatha Christie type episode. I really hope season 8 lives up to great writing and reproduction of the previous season.
Great reaction you two. Btw. at Drogon's and Daenaerys' wedding there were deaths too. After all a dothraki wedding without at least three dead is considered a dull affair :D
My favorite part about the Purple Wedding is that virtually all parties involved, except Cersei and Jaime, wanted Joffrey dead. Tywin, Oberyn, Olenna, Margery, Tyrion, and Sansa all had vested interests in getting rid of him for various reasons. Tywin considered him unstable and a hazard to crown authority. Olenna and Margery had no intention of following through with Margery marrying a sadist. Tyrion despised Joffery with every fiber of his being and Sansa's reasons go without saying. Oberyn hates the Lannisters outright and likely wouldn't have qualms with killing a "Baratheon" in his little revenge crusade against Tywin (as far as the audience knows at this point). It's such a fantastic little whodunit scenario when it first unfolds despite the show making it obvious that Tyrion and Sansa are red herrings.
I know, that's what I found most interesting too. Both in the show and the book. Murder mysteries are a huge favorite of mine, and this was like a mini Agatha Christie story 😀
Seasons normally wait until Epsiode 9 to deliver its seizmic shocks, but 4 gets straight into it with the Purple Wedding. enjoy the rest of this tremendous series.
You guys always have spot on timing.. Again i was making coffee and wondering what to do, then i saw notification and now im drinking coffee while watching... Priceless
"Wait, what, why, what, what" hahaha legit reaction. I was laughing so hard when I finished this episode. It was satisfying! Jack Gleeson was brilliant as Joffrey. An extra for you: he got so much hate from people because of his role as Joff that after he left the show, he gave up acting and now studies theology in Dublin. The actors say that he was one of the sweetest person on set and that it was quite bizarre how he transformed into Joffrey. So, a round of applause for such a great actor!
@@TheMaskedChef7 more of a souvenier, Haha! We did a Game of Thrones tour in Croatia and were allowed to take some from the area where the purple wedding was filmed.
YAAAAAAS!!! I told you the vengeance would be sweet!!!! REVEEEEEENGE!!!! I’ve been waiting to watch you savor this moment & the moments leading up to it. Jack Gleeson was superb in milking Joffrey’s audacity till the bitter end!!! Remember, Joffrey is the oldest of 3, “Baratheons.” Tommen, is next in line & then Myrcella. If there are no legitimate children, the spouse takes over. If there is no spouse, no children, & no other siblings, the parents take over.
Nikki..''the toilet has been flushed on the turd'', i laughed so hard ! currently rewatching all your GOT reactions again, you are the best reactors, i love Nikkis empathy xx
I chuckled a bit when I saw you guys had the glasses/cups at the beginning. I thought either you were celebrating or you were role playing Joffrey's death.
I read this on book 3 and was super excited to watch it on the show. Jack Gleeson did an OUTSTANDING job portraying Joffrey, not gonna lie, I miss his acting on the show. He's a really talented guy. Fun fact! Jack planned a private screening of the episode for his close friends without them knowing that he'd died at the end. After it he gave them cookies shaped as Joff's head with blood frosting. Not such a fun fact: He decided to quit acting after that episode because he doesn't wanna be a celebrity nor deal with all the extra attention. I think he's focusing on his studies and working on a charity program of some sort (which was started by his grandfather) that helps people from Haiti. Dude's Joffrey's total opposite.
This video is how I first discovered your channel. I was rewatching Game of Thrones during the two year break before Season 8 and I was looking for videos on TH-cam reacting to Joffrey's death.

Just wanna put a little note in here that I'm a relatively new viewer but you two seem like the loveliest people and I really enjoy your reactions. I hope your channel continues to grow and be successful and I'm happy to be along for the ride. :)
Hello! Welcome to the channel, and thank you for the sweet words! Thanks for watching with us! - Nikki
I’ve been constantly refreshing for so long because I have nothing better to do😂
I loved Joffrey for what he was bringing to the story, he was so unpredictable
Reliving watching this through you guys has made me appreciate again how good this show is. They even give you an Agatha Christie type episode. I really hope season 8 lives up to great writing and reproduction of the previous season.
You guys are ADORABLE when you're theorizing
Ding Dong the wicked King is gone... ;-)
Ding dong the wicked biyotch* is dead!
Best episode ever, was one of MY happier days in MY life.
Priceless
I always have a coffee while watching Nikki and Steven's GoT reactions, it's a comfy combo.
This episode made me so happy after the red wedding 😂 what a beautiful sight seeing joeffrey choking to death.
Oh and I love how in almost all the previews Nikki says "Oh my God". It makes me chuckle now.
Thus ended the purple wedding :) Have fun figuring that one out :) As always it is so fun to watch you two experiencing the glory of GOT!
20:21 Stevens smile says it all! :D
Weird fact: I have some of the red rocks that they used for the ground where the purple wedding/Joffrey's death was filmed. 😆
Jamie L
Because it's such a good luck charm ?! Lol
I love that this episode added some great last moments of evil Joffrey to make his death even sweeter
"Hurry up! This pie is dry."
Turd down for what!?!
For the... ah damn nvm nvm. spoiler free up in here.
@@kingtchenka628🤣
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah. I understood that reference!
15 yards for unnessary roughness... Turd down!
To this day my friend and I still cut awkward moments of tension by randomly shouting "Look, the pie!" in our best Margaery voice.
Man, that was the first time that i actually feel amazing watching a kid dying, and i never been happier GOD SO GOOD
The song at the end is sung by the actor who plays Joffrey if you listened. So eerie and bone chilling...
Well Steven, you asked for it! That was worth waiting for.
*y'all remember the name of "the fool" damn I'm impressed. Even super intense Game of Thrones fans don't even know that. Lol*
27:05 Joffrey's brother Tommen was sitting next to Tyrion at the wedding.

He laughing at the performance until he realized Tyrion wasn't and he then stopped coz he got it's not funny !
That's how we know Tom and will make a great king. He quickly recognized his uncle's discomfort and empathized along with him.
LONG MAY HE REIGN ! ...
This video is how I first discovered your channel. I was rewatching Game of Thrones during the two year break before Season 8 and I was looking for videos on TH-cam reacting to Joffrey's death.
I think the poison is called "the strangler". Too good a death for him. there is always Ramsay!
This might be my favorite reaction from you guys ever. Your faces as you realized what was happening. THE BEST.
"The only good wedding was Drogo and Daenerys"
Uhhh let's not forget Drogo rapped Daenerys multiple times before she came to love her chains.
Only in the show. I really didn't like that change from the books.
@@melindam128 um no, Dany was still raped in the show. Only the wedding night was changed, and even then, 1 consensual encounter doesn't absolve Drogo of subsequent encounters where he raped her repeatedly.
@@thedifferent14 You're very rude and snippy. I didn't say she wasn't raped in the show. She was not raped in the books. She was having sex she didn't enjoy, that is not rape.
@@safiyyahalam4284 That is a different argument. It is also a different world and a different time where women were "women" when they started having their periods. Nobody in today's society would be conquering and ruling cities at 13 either as they would be thought of as mentally incompetent. Is it gross to us she's a kid? Yes. Is she a kid to the characters in the books? Not really.
she consented in the book
19:59 notice the eye blinks as Tyrion picks up the glass, the hint was even that far back at who poisoned Joffrey...
You guys are the most 2 likeable persons on earth ! ❤️
Furious Hulk
God bless #BlueEye loOl
14:30 It took 3.2 seasons, but Nikki finally fully understands this show. Now she can properly enjoy the rest of it.
