I recently bought the Loewe mini slit bag in the natural. I’ve already worn it a handful of times and it’s comfy! I like to wear it high on my hip and it molds to my body and not at all rough feeling. I’ve loaded it up with wallet, cosmetic bag, phone, even an extra pair of pants for my toddler. Fits like a dream and sturdy. Comfy wide strap. Love it. I had been searching for a good raffia bag for years. Finally one that’s functional and my stuff won’t fall out of it or get stolen. 😊
I would personally have a hard time justifying the price of a designer basket bag, but I love the style on everyone else 🫶🏻 Also I’m dying to see what you picked up at Chanel in Europe
I use my *preluxz* as a work bag and have had no issues at all. It’s a comfortable bag, fits a good amount and hadn’t lost its shape. With that being said, I also take care of all my bags and don’t carry a water bottle, pens, keys or anything that can damage the interior.
For a mini raffia option, I picked up the XS Longchamp Le Pliage Saint-Tropez Bucket Bag in black last summer and love it! So light and so cute, and thanks to the lining, it's still in great shape. Looking forward to rocking it again this summer.
I’ve seen people use the Loewe dust bag as pouch liners 😄 I’m getting an organizer for mine though. I usually get one to keep the inside clean and orderly. Also helps keep the bag’s shape.

The wicker lady dior is my favorite bag! Though I have many classic flaps and a Kelly/Birkin, during last Spring/Summer I almost exclusively used the lady dior wicker bag and plan to do so again this year!

I have the Proenza Schouler Morris Raffia tote in the color Sun. I absoloutely love everything about it- could be carried over the shoulder or hand held, and the size is perfect! Maybe something you’d be interested in 😃
I own the Loewe squared raffia bag in the all black from last year Ibiza collection and I love it. It’s the perfect size for everyday, not beach day size which I love for my causal spring summer outfits
I have the original Loewe but the mini. The bigger one looks beach or farmers market tote to me, less a handbag. I recommend Muun bags. It is a French company that specializes in straw or raffia. Gorgeous and well made.
I was 99% about to purchase the prada raffia tote and then found Tory Burch has its version and it’s soooo similar for a fraction of the cost so I got that one instead 🥰 Waiting to receive it in the mail so fingers crossed that satisfies my NEED for a raffia tote lol!
I got the Tory Burch version in the Pink color - it’s super cool! And as you say for a fraction of the price of the Prada raffia tote. I’m sure you will love the Tory Burch one !
I can see how it might be too much for some people I wish they made an alternative where instead of saying Loewe the strap just had the anagram logo on it

Loewe and Prada have me lusting over their raffia bags. The one that I want badly is the Prada re-edition in raffia but it’s 2500 😭 I’ve been wanting it since last year and was excited it was brought back. But idk if I’ll be able to get it this year 🥲

I’ve been eyeing that bag in the medium size for a year, but my mom’s comment on it, being the Asian mom w/ no filter, was it’s a neither here nor there bag (I also consult my mom on all of my bag purchases), so I haven’t pulled the trigger, but also am low key pining after it, at the same time questioning my own taste now that my mom shot it down
The only raffia bag I have is the Loewe bunny crossbody bag. I love its butter yellow leather strap. I find it's so cute when its ears are flapping in the wind haha
I’m not too keen on the raffia trend but I do feel like I could use one in my collection. I’m looking at The Rebecca Minkoff ones currently - the flap or the tote version. Very cute design. Classic/Timeless enough, so it’ll be good for me to say that I have that to complete a summer/spring collection 😊
I have the Prada raffia one in Large size. Love the look of it so much. However the only down side for me is the handle is so short that I can’t wear it on my shoulder. I have to hand carry it or put in the crook of my arm. And it’s made of quite a rough raffia so it’s not so comfortable on my arm. So the only way I can wear mine is to hand carry it which sometimes it’s not convenient. Hope this helps.
Ohh, these are great ones! I'm also quite into raffia bags this season, and I ordered the Saint Laurent Panier Medium in Raffia and Vegetable Tanned Leather in the black version with cassandre hook closure. I totally love it, but still really couldn't make up my mind whether to keep it or return, since I feel €2400 is quite over the top for a raffia bag, even though I really do love how it looks and wears. 😳 Please send help! 🥹
I have the Prada raffia that everyone has & the famous Loewe basket bag. I thought I would like the Prada but the lack of structure makes it too slouchy & not in the good way. The Loewe basket bag I used more times however for my style I definitely only used it more for certain occasions. Honestly for a great spring/summer designer bag, I fell in LOVE with my Chloé Woody tote. The woody tote is a workhorse & imo a lot more effortless to style.

I was considering that prada then I saw made in Madagascar n it’s expensive for what it is. I love the Gucci raffia line but it’s so hard to justify spending over 2k for raffia 😅
The Dior, in blue (like Dayles) is so beautiful, but the price tag is a bit jarring. I'd go for the Loewe, my current favorite brand. I didn't want to commit too heavily to rafia, so I got a cute raffia/leather from Aspinal of London. I think it's called a Midi Mayfair.
The Loewe totes would be so much cuter if they just had the triomphe logo instead of LOEWE plastered all over it! I would buy it then. Have both the square and pochette loewe bags. Both great choices. For the square, the dustbag for the mini puzzle makes rhe perfect-sized liner.
