This awesome vocal chart takes it away with four half-step up modulations. Features a written-out tenor solo and big shout chorus. Arranged in two keys for optimum flexibility. The high key starts out in B-flat (vocal range from middle C to F top line, treble clef) and the low key starts in E-flat (vocal range from low F below middle C to B-flat, second space). (3:50)

Dave Wolpe is the best jazz arranger on Alfred’s music so far
Loved this arrangement. Ever so subtle and then emphasized in all the right places. Orchestra/Band were just amazing as well. Knock out sax solo in this arrangement. Wonderfully played.
That tenor solo though, amazing!!!
Oh, the shark, babe, has such teeth, dear
And it shows them pearly white
Just a jackknife has old MacHeath, babe
And he keeps it, ah, out of sight
Ya know when that shark bites with his teeth, babe
Scarlet billows start to spread
Fancy gloves, oh, wears old MacHeath, babe
So there's never, never a trace of red
Now on the sidewalk, huh, huh, whoo sunny morning, un huh
Lies a body just oozin' life, eek
And someone's sneakin' 'round the corner
Could that someone be Mack the Knife?
There's a tugboat, huh, huh, down by the river don'tcha know
Where a cement bag's just a'drooppin' on down
Oh, that cement is for, just for the weight, dear
Five'll get ya ten old Macky's back in town
Now d'ja hear 'bout Louie Miller? He disappeared, babe
After drawin' out all his hard-earned cash
And now MacHeath spends just like a sailor
Could it be our boy's done somethin' rash?
Now Jenny Diver, ho, ho, yeah, Sukey Tawdry
Ooh, Miss Lotte Lenya and old Lucy Brown
Oh, that line forms on the right, babe
Now that Macky's back in town
I said Jenny Diver, whoa, Sukey Tawdry
Look out to Miss Lotte Lenya and old Lucy Brown
Yes, that line forms on the right, babe
Now that Macky's back in town
Look out, old Macky's back
I performed this with my high school Jazz band, with my friend and fellow tenor soloing. That was fun!
Miles Kessler my high school jazz band is doing it now
God I love this song so much.
Sounds so good !!!! Love this voice !!! ... And this tenor sax solo !!!
Yeah! Without vocal & in male key would be great! Awesome!
Excellent arrangement 😁👍
Love it
nice cords
please upload Dave Wolpe's arrangement of this song without singer !
I like it, maybe add a minute, sing all the names of the people who sang these songs, Louis Armstrong, Bobby Darrin, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, micheal buble, like in franks version, to tribute all those who sang this song, with much feeling, that we wouldn’t forget them.
Who is editing the sheet and what program are they using?
2 years late but if anyone wants to know, MuseScore has a Jazz font that looks like this
I prefer the original version I play with The Wiseguys

You can't do a Louis Armstrong arrangement with the vocals without at least attempting to sound like him. Also a high D for the lead trumpet is a bit much for a grade 3 in my opinion. Other than that it's a good arrangement.
oh, yeah, the high range stuff is pretty silly. I've seen a high D for trumpet in other grade 3s before, but look at 1st trombone with a high C (its equivalent)! I've only seen 1st trombone range above high A in grade 5s. i think this one is at least a grade 4.
Too bad no one said it was a Louis Armstrong arrangement. This is clearly a Bobby Darin arrangement
