    Pros:
    1. Easy to learn for beginners and intermediate level players;
    2. Presented in a layman's language;
    3. Coming together with very well annotated Master PGN files.
    4. Coming together with supportive docs containing chess principles that may help you;
    5. Tested against real games using the Lichess Masters Database.
    VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
    This video covers the 5 most amazing and unique traps that you can use in the King's Gambit and against someone who plays the King's Gambit. I believe that the best way to learn a new chess opening is by learning some of the beautiful traps that exist in that particular opening, which is true for beginners and intermediate-level players. The King's Gambit is one of the oldest-known chess openings, bringing to mind the “Romantic Era” of chess. The idea behind the King’s Gambit is: White sacrifices a pawn to get counterplay and an advantage in development. Black may or may not accept the pawn sacrifice, and this changes the character of the game.
    Enjoy!

    Thank you for this video. Just yesterday I was reading about the King's Pawn opening, as I want to learn about it. These traps will definitely come in handy. Keep up the good work.

    5:47 Nd5 discovery check by the dark-square Bishop, If black blocks with Nf6, there's going to be a mate in one by white playing Bxf6#, but if black blocks with Ne7, white will play Bxe7+, Ke8 by black only move and finally Nf6# by white

      I started playing the Kings gambit in yesterday's 5 minutes tournament online, and i won all my games! In the past i railed dismally with this gambit. Also, i was a Queen's gambit player with on-off results. As Black, i play Queen e2 with plenty of success; what u call it? Thank u once again kaspa!!

    12:06 smothered mate with kf7d6 double check, kd8 because if kf8 checkmate with qf7 so kd8 then sac queen on e8 forces capture with with knight or rook then kd6 right back to f7 check mate. I love your stuff man keep it up..I'm learning alot..😂

      k=king, n=knight... Took me awhile to figure how your solution worked, until decoding k used to signify knight. Smothered check mate, fascinating puzzle.

  • @mikekeenan8450
    @mikekeenan8450 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If my eyeballs (and, more importantly, my brain) are working correctly, the mate in 3 in the first puzzle is 1. Nd5 dis ch Ne7 (if ... Nf6 then 2. Bxf6 mate) 2. Bxe7 ch Ke8 3. Nf6 mate. For the second, it's 1. Nd6 dbl ch Kd8 2. Qe8 ch R (or N)xe8 3. Nxf7 mate.
    I used to play the King's Gambit a lot in high school (a long, long time ago). I got good results, but most of my opponents never played 3. ... g5 in response to my 3. Nf3, so I didn't get a chance to try the Muzio. They usually just tried to continue normally with their development, and I would get the pawn back quickly after d4 and Bxf4, then just charge down the open f-file. Or else they declined the gambit with the Brazilian, but didn't follow it up the way you suggest and I generally did pretty well against that too.Not sure how I'd have done against the Falkbeer Countergambit (or the Philidor-Hanstein defense after 3. ... g5 4. Bc4 Bg7, for that matter). The latter in particular seems to be considered by a lot of people to favour Black.

    5:41 1) Nfd6+, Ne7 blocks check
    2)Bg×e7+, Ke8
    Now moving the bishop where ever on the F,G,H file would be checkmate. Thats mate in 3

    At 12.11 mins, there’s mate in 2, with Knight to D6 and then when the king moves, to deliver checkmate with the queen 😊

    There are so many flaws in trap 2.....at 8:14.... After white takes pawn on g file for the trade black can simply push their pawn for a discovered Check forking the Bishop and the rook. White is forced to take the Queen anyway And black wins a rook and their queen back With pawn promotion

    5:45 isn't knight to e8 a mate in 1? The bishop discovers check, the knight and bishop each takes away a passive square and the rook protects the knight

    • @Mastercane_
      @Mastercane_ ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, because blk knight to e7 blocks check, so still takes 3 moves to checkmate
