This is such a great series. So many products come from the development done on these cars, that enthusiasts can purchase for their own race/street cars. There are entry level classes too, that a father/son/daughter can run without too much of an investment. Get involved!
@@darksideloneliness73 Here in the UK our pro class can use slicks, everyone else uses Pirelli Trofeo R. If you want quick times you need to use slicks IMO

is it really weird to see most comments are about the video itself and not the cars or is it just me? i mean look at those weird front bumpers most of the cars have! the winglets and front spoilers are much wider than the car which, as far as i know, is illegal. this is the first time i've seen aero like that so please if anyone can tell me if they changed the rules or something
They have always been allowed in global time attack. They are banned in most race series like lemans because someone figured out they could stick a fan under the car and create enormous downforce and completely dominated. These cars allow unlimited aero though. A race series wont allow it because of side by side racing and cutting tires down.
This is time attack. Not racing. It's all about getting the best time, you don't have to worry about other cars around you. So you can extend outwards to get all the downforce you want,
Yo if someone would have just brought a supra with a ebay turbo on it, they could have made 1500hp and won the whole thing just with that alone. supras with a wing on it can beat lambo SVJ and if you use all season tires i heard they can beat GT3 cars people dont even know but if you put carbon fiber cylinder walls in a supra it pretty much turns it into a koninsegg one:1 and the stock brakes can stop a supra from 220mph to 0mph in like 150 feet. pretty much like a formula 1 cars brakes almost. supras are just so dope man

Yea It would be interesting because time attack would be the ideal place for an EV. 1 Lap full voltage = mega power (instant) would be a beautiful thing to have that's why I was thinking..Open class would be great haha + actually good for further EV development TBH. To get maximum grip on the track so they can keep going as hard as possible.
because they think its real life fast and furious. stick your hand out the window on the highway.
These ridiculous aero kits are actually fully functional and absolutely necessary in this kind of racing.
It's like it was in the 80's you add more horsepower just to push the aero. Downforce is the only way to make multi g-force turns!
The RP968 aero was studied by an F1 engineer with computer simulations.
It is all functional. It looks absurd.
