Brando also said that Nebraska would win multiple national titles under Scott Frost. But he's not wrong about Saban's tactics. That's why he got out of coaching.

The portal alone killed teams being great every year, nick saban got the number 1 or 2 recruiting classes every year and without the transfer portal they all had to stay, alabama started getting worse after the transfer portal started, hoarding players is what kept alabama winning.

Yeah, I think his comment is true, and applies, to all of college football, and that was how he meant it, but we Bama fans - Roll Tide - are the most notable victims.
Klatt spoke on this too and talked about the relative performance curves of schools having more overlap than they did in the past, so now on “any given Saturday” if you don’t show up (or if your DC can’t make effective adjustments), you are at higher risk of losing the game.

Ummm, no. I will not get used to losing to teams like Vanderbilt. With the amount of talent on that roster, losses like that are completely in-excusable. People can talk all they want about how this Vandy team is "different", but the fact is that the talent gap on the rosters is as deep as the grand canyon, so losing to them just means that they wanted it more, and that isn't the Bama standard. I will always be an Alabama fan, and I know what losing feels like because I was a fan back when Brody Croyle was throwing it up to Tyrone Prothro, but losing to Vanderbilt, with this roster, and the way they got dog walked throughout the whole game, is just embarrassing and shouldn't be acceptable from an Alabama team.

Honestly, this is the worst episode/clip of this I've ever seen. What politics has to do with coaching is beyond me. Red or Blue in politics doesn't matter on the field, and players choosing to leave schools has nothing to do with being yelled at. It has to do with money, period.
