Ori, my husband and I live in Putnam County, N.Y. We keep Shabbat. Our tradition is to watch TH-cam late Saturday afternoon, and watch videos from Israel because are foodies ourselves. I believe EVERYTHING is Bashert! Saturday in keeping with our tradition we came across your video. We binge watched them all. My husband Michael was born in Haifa, & came here 67 yrs ago. We're married going on 8 yrs. We wanted to visit Israel & then the pandemic hit. We had no idea of Jewish culture in the U.S. The Jewish population in other states. Thank you! Your videos have educated and enlightened us. Your transparency, humor, and heart is just beautiful! Your the epitome of what a Mensch is! In addition I'm learning some Hebrew. I had a procedure done this week, & I'm waiting for the biopsy results, which ironically, perhaps will be back Yom Kippur. Watching your videos has been a welcomed distraction! If you ever find yourself in upstate N.Y, we'd love to meet you. A matter of fact, if you ever want to adopt an extra Bubbie & Zadie, here we are. HaShem is using you in a wonderful way. To you and yours, L'Shanah Tovah!! L'Shalom, Marlene and Michael

At 4:07. Katz's salamis have been sent all over the world. A friend even told me he saw someone break open a Katz's salami at Mount Everest South Base Camp in Nepal.

The best pastrami I had was at Gottlieb's in Williamsburg (Brooklyn). It's Glatt kosher, and kosher meat makes a great pastrami.

It’s the experience of it all, most Jewish Deli’s in NYC have the same fare. I’m born in Brooklyn and we’ve since moved but every time we visit my mom insists we go. I hope you make it, prepare for the wait in line

I was at Katz’s two weeks ago and I had the Pastrami sandwich with pickles and Matzo ball soup. It was divine and they packed up my leftovers to go. It was enough for three meals!

The best Jewish Food - how about "home cooking" or when Sammy's was open it was incredible for FUN and dancing. It was a Hungarian/Jewish restauranat, but also a lot of good times, at least for me and my husband were spent there

...Wow, 2024 marks around a hundred years, that two million Jews came to the USA....Happy anniversary.....I think I read that NYC was right behind London, as the second largest city in the world, around 1910.....They both had around five million people.......And NYC had a twenty five percent Jewish population.....

Sadly, Katz is not kosher. Jews are not keeping the rules. If it was kosher, you probably could eat it. For many who eat zabiha meat, kosher slaughter is acceptable.
