People are human, and humans are constantly failing. But redemption is possible for those that have faith and believe. The little girl's smile at the end tells us that she understands, but most of us are too hung up in the emotional response to take the time needed to fully understand. One of the reasons that I love Country music is the underlying hopefulness for redemption and salvation that tends to permeate the music.
