This was ABSOLUTELY the BEST video on this geranium. I am new to this plant and it got very leggy this year (it was a year old) now I know what to do. I’ve searched everywhere for info and your video was spot on for me for education! Thank you!
I love geraniums...only have 3 and I was deadheading and felt a little foolish but they were the longest blooming plants in my garden. Glad to see this video.
I transplanted a Bloody Cranesbill Geranium from a friend. Its true! The flowers last throughout the spring/summer/fall. Then the green turns to a Crimson color in the fall.
Hi Devin. I just purchased, Oct 2023, Calla Lilly bulbs. They were 70% off, yea!. I live in zone 7, and I plan to over winter them in my garage which stays around 50° in winter. Should I plant them in a pot now? Or should I store the bulbs in vermiculite or perlite until spring? Thank you for your assistance. k
Hmm honestly it’s likely those bulbs have been sitting around for awhile if they were on discount and considering time of year. With that said it isn’t advisable to overwinter them in perlite bc they’ll likely go bad. I’d plant them up and keep them in a sunny window
Devin what type of Geranium is that one you are showing? It's Beautiful!🦋🌻🦋🌱🌿🪴 Thank you and have a Great Day! Oh by the way my Reblooming Lilac "Bloomerang" Dark Purple is reblooming since spring and it really took off in growth.I feed it with Dr.Earth fertilizer and your liquid fertilizer. Thank you and your Family for bringing us these Wonderful plants 🪴❤. I have mine in a extra large container pot since we have clay and rock here in Middle Tennessee. Keep up the Great Work with your videos!🪴🦋🌻🦋
The Geranium I am showing is called Rozanne! its such a sturdy performer. and that is great to hear! i just planted two of those Bloomerangs in my garden a month ago! thanks for supporting Robertas!!
@@plantvibrations Hi. I thought they could handle the full sun (6+ hrs). I live in far northern MS - Zone 7. I just bought some starter plants from plugs and was going to plant them in a bed will full sun - 6-7 hrs. I have not seen where they require afternoon shade. Please let me know your specific thoughts on this. Thank you!!
@@kar1922 hi. first it depends on the species planted. i may have been too hasty with my response above. i find that in my zone 6b garden they can get a bit sad looking if we have repeated days of full sun without any precipitation. i do not water my plants so for me afternoon shade is a good thing. if you tend to water your plants you may be fine.
@@plantvibrations Thank you for your reply. i guess I will just plant 2 of them in this area with regular drip irritation and see what happens. So much of gardening is a crap shoot. Sometimes I feel like I'm gambling money away in plants bc full sun to one area is not full sun to another. It's still fun. Thank you, again, for your reply !!
I recently got a geranium plant that is about 2 - 3 feet tall. If I cut it down to around 1 feet, do you think it'll promote growth from the sides of the stems making the plan more bushier and shorter? Would it still flower this year if I cut it now?
I have lots of those geraniums, will take me forever to cut those dead flowers, do you think if can cut them to the ground they will come back during the summer? with more flowers?

Oooh I’d definitely move it to somewhere with afternoon shade

Yes it will get bushier and still flower later this season

hi gladys, yes you can definitely just shear back the plant to the ground and they will come back quickly. the sooner you do it the better
@@plantvibrations Thank you!
Im in zone 8, wonder how they perform here🤔
Amazingly. They were stunning when I lived in Seattle zone 8. Just provide ample moisture
The Legolas of gardening
Lolol
The sound is too low, I can barely hear you.
I have since upgraded my audio on newer videos. Apologies
To me they do not look like geraniums.
Perhaps you are thinking of Pelargonium. These are true Geranoum.
