    The one thing I can say is Milwaukee has truly stepped up the game for quality tools. I have had almost every other tool on the market over the 50 plus years and almost every other tool I own has given up or was done within a short time. Milwaukee on the other hand has just kept going and going. I can't say enough about the Milwaukee brand of tools, they are the best of the best tools in the industry today. Thank up and Milwaukee for bring all of us the reasons we buy the best. Rock

    I’m so glad I made the switch from DeWalt to Milwaukee about four or five years ago. Don’t get me wrong, I still have some of my older DeWalt corded stuff, as it was what got me into the power tool game, but my goodness, the Milwaukee stuff I have kicks ass.

    I think your audience would like to see a comparison between the new Shockwave bits with the hardened tip and the new Matrix Carbide bits. Test the tip's resistance to wear and cam out. Test each for breakage. Also demonstrate if each design fits a Phillips screw better than the previous generations of Shockwave bits.

    Haha, I've watched a lot of these Milwaukee videos and I like their tools but come one. These sales people they have are pulling sales tactics like crazy and this is just one example. Watch starting at 7:50 when she shows the competition vs the carbide blade. There are 5 screws, left to right. She uses the competition DeWalt and destroys the tip on screw #1, then says, lets see if it can still drive screws. She inserts the tip into the stripped screw and says oh look it doesn't work. When she does the Milwaukee, she grinds the bit own a bit on screw #1, wipes the bit off then says lets see if it can continue to drive screws but conveniently inserts the Milwaukee bit into the non-stripped screw #2 and then #3 and it drives them without issue. I'm sure the competition could have done the same if you did a fair comparison. Freaking shady sales people. It;s hard to believe the contractors and tool review guys that are their filming don't call them out on this crap. Make it honest and fair. Again, look at other videos, the same false sales tactics are everywhere when comparing to the competition. Yea, Milwaukee might be better but they like to fluff the stats a bit with these tactics.

    • @iggibars
      @iggibars 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, you're wrong. There are 6 screws left to right on the bottom row when she starts purposely stripping the head on #1. Look at it again and zoom in. It's the camera angle that makes them look the same. You can see this if you actually pay attention to the #2 screw as the #1 screw bends behind it. Then she moves to try and remove #2.

    Sending a picture to a dedicated email address is actually really nice. Whenever tools say they have a warranty i roll my eyes because the hoops arn't worth jumping through.
    I googled it to find these bits, what I found is hilarious in light of this bragadocious video:
    Start quote
    "
    Milwaukee announced a new type of impact-rated screwdriver bit in 2019, which they called Shockwave Matrix Carbide.
    Milwaukee intended for their Shockwave Matrix Carbide screwdriver bits to deliver a higher level of wear resistance, and had initial plans for Phillips, Robertson (square), and Torx (star) tip styles in both 1″ insert bit and 2″ power bit lengths.
    The company was so confident in Matrix Carbide’s wear resistance that that they backed the accessories with a lifetime tip warranty.
    *The launch and user feedback did not exactly go according to plan, with the entire line discontinued several months later.*
    ToolGuyd covered the announcement, launch, and discontinuation in several posts, all of which have been combined here, for a consolidated discussion of the short-lived product lineup.
    Coverage Timeline
    Matrix Carbide Announcement - January 2019
    Deciphering “Matrix Carbide Steel” - January 2019
    Clarifying User Applications - May 2019
    Matrix Carbide is Discontinued - August 2019
    "

    Hi Guys!!! Pretty impressive tests. One question I have is...on the torque test of the new (non-matrix) bit vs a competitor bit, where both m18 fuel impacts set on the same speed? If the competitor was set on Speed #3 and Milwaukee set on say Speed #1 or #2, wouldn't that contribute to the competitor bit breaking faster? Just wondering.

    • @xenonram
      @xenonram 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can see how fast the competitor's force shots up to thirty something, while the Milwaukee one gradually increased up to 38 lbs much slower. Just remember, these "tests," regardless of which company is demoing them, are all knocked in their favor. What is the "competitor bit." Is it Bosch, DeWalt, Irwin, harbor freight, eBay... Get it? They're going to pick tree absolute weakest one to go against the Milwaukee. Are they the best bits? Maybe. I wouldn't doubt it. But that test would flatten out if it was a bit from another one of those first 3 manufacturers, rather than the last 2. They're marketing, just like every other company does.

      Hey, I just watched that test in slow-motion (just changed the TH-cam playback speed) a few minutes ago. The competitor bit broke at about 17.6 while the Milwaukee bit was at 3.5. So, how did the competitor bit arrive at over 5 times the pull (17.6 /3.5 = 5.03) of the Milwaukee so quickly if both impacts were the same make/model (M18 Fuel, I assume) and at the same speed setting? If everything was the same, then maybe the competitor guy was instantly going full-max throttle on his impact while the Milwaukee lady was gradually pulling on her impact throttle? However, from the video, it looks like they both hit the impact button pretty hard. As far as the speed setting, it's hard for me to tell what speed setting each impact was on. Hmmmmm....What do you guys think??? :-)

  • @samdequina3386
    @samdequina3386 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love how the lady rounds out the screw head and tries to screw it in. Of course it won’t screw in. You rounded it out. But when she went to Milwaukee she did the same thing except this time she screwed in the screws that she didn’t round out. I’m sure if she took the competitor Philips head and screwed the new screws she didn’t touch, it would also screw in

    I've been using these bits for the year or so and I have yet to break a single one, they even stay sharp much longer then the dewalt ones.

      I have been using screws most of the time around my house (hardly using nails - only trim). I gave up on Philips screws a long time ago. I went with S2 (square 2 - I believe they call them Robinson screws in Canada ) exterior screws (Scorpion brand - Curtis Lumber mostly sells these screws). Sometimes I buy Torx screws but avoid Philips screws like a plague. I bought Bosch bit set at Lowes and I must say I am impressed with them.

      No, there are 6 screws. She tried driving #2 screw with the Dewalt.

    The sds extender is nifty but I true installer always has the longer bits with them no one goes to the site with out an 18 inch bit come on.
    Couldn't see in detail with the wench demo. I want to see self tappers and thick aluminum door frames. I install maglocks and wandering systems I brake bits all the time I'll give the matrix a shot but I wont believe till I try.

    Looks good, does Milwaukee make durable and reputable power tools like Makita, stanley and Dewalt or just another home-use power tool maker like Black&Decker, Budget, Skil, Bosch, Krausmann, Einhell? They were not available in my country until recently so I don't know anything about their tools and durability of them.

      They compete against Dewalt as a professional brand. They cost more than other brands but not hilti tier. Among union construction tradesmen , it's either milwaukee or Dewalt for cordless power tools. I haven't seen anything else. Mostly Milwaukee because they put out so many trade specific tools every year.

    • @topouzidd
      @topouzidd 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      allen quach Ok thanks. In Europe it’s only Makita. You might see a Bosch Pro once or twice, I haven’t seen any construction worker use a Dewalt ever! Also, if you have a Makita here you should carry it in an unbranded bag because thieves really love makitas.I guess they’re high value in black market.
