They should have done Can't You Hear Me Knocking instead of this song. Don't get me wrong, Sympathy for the Devil is one of my favorite Rolling Stones songs, and I do like it more than Can't you Hear Me Knocking. But Can't You Hear Me Knocking would be a much better choice for a guitar playing based game.

I disagree, I think it's good that they branch out and show people that just because a song doesn't feature guitar doesn't mean it can't be played on guitar.

Sure, it's good to have some variety and to be able to play parts from other instruments on guitar. But I think to justify it over using a great guitar part, the alternative should be interesting, and this really wasn't. It was just a bunch of basic chords. If you look at the way Rocksmith charted Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree they did a great job at including the saxophone solo into the guitar part. It made the piece more interesting and fun than just playing the same guitar part behind it. If they used Can't You Hear Me Knocking there's an excellent sax solo that would have made for a good alternate lead part. Not to mention the classic riff at the beginning, the jazzy middle section, and a soulful guitar solo at the end. It just has so much more to offer than this song.
