And you are right just because you're under a big company doesn't mean you don't have to work hard to get where you are EXO worked hard just like everybody else. And the last part you see were chanyeol crying is because 2017 Mama Awards really did EXO dirty they were nominated for a bunch of awards where they were dominating and things went horribly wrong. EXO only won one award even though they were nominated and leading in so many others. It was so bad a famous presenter said that they were crying because they thought they let their fans down after all that hard work of voting. They poked fun at them and the show even injured and pushed EXO-L EXO was really upset
That's when EXO stopped attending year end awards show after 2017 and did their own year end concert which was just meant for EXO-L. Kai said "forget about awards show and music festival, we just want to spend time with EXO-L"...that's how much EXO love EXO-L ❤️

Hope y'all read this, it's worthy of your time.
EXO rookie heart never changed. Despite of the huge success that they achieved, they stayed humble and down to earth, never letting the hype change who they are.
EXO started the journey with 12 people, supporting each other with 11 people, keep being strong with 10 people, and continue being closer and stronger with 9 people. OT12 taught us to love, OT11 taught us to be loyal, OT10 taught us to be strong, and OT9 taught us to stay until the end.
When EXO debuted in 2012, they got lots of hate. EXO got lots of hate since the first day they were introduced to KPOP industry. People said that EXO only popular because they come from a big company. They believed in the oh-so-called "BIG 3 PRIVILEDGE CARD" that EXO had, that brought them to success.

That's what they called EXO that time, as we all know that SM ENT produces Legendary Groups and Artists in the industry.
People used to called EXO as "SM Ent's biggest failure" because EXO did not reach that "SM EXPECTATION" and people said that debuting EXO is a huge mistake that SM Ent had done.
When EXO debuted, people laughed because of their superpower concept. They make fun of EXO. Remember back then, when people called EXO nugu. People always be like, "EXO who?" since EXO is not popular at that time, because of that, EXO had to join street events in order to gain popularity. Even if they walk casually on the street in South Korea, no one knows EXO. Except for a few EXO fans at that time.
At their debut they had to perform at small events and hold fan sign events with supposedly 30+ fans, but it was hard for them to atleast reach 20 fans that time, on their first fan sign event they only have 18 fans. When EXO performed in 2012 Chungju Rice Event, they got paid with bags of rice. There was a picture of Kyungsoo on the said event wherein he was seen holding bag of rice and kept it safe with his arms the whole time and he was smiling at it like it was the most precious thing.
On 2013, GROWL was called "SOUTH KOREA'S NATIONAL ANTHEM". It was their hit song that brought them to more success. But still people said it was only a "ONE HIT WONDER". On the same year, they revived the physical market after 12 years drought.
They came back in early 2014 with a mini album "OVERDOSE". Remember that the year 2014 was the worst year for EXO. 2 members left the group, Kris Wu left first in May 2014 followed by Lu Han in October 2014. It was also the same year when SM Ent's stock dropped that's why they announced EXO Baekhyun and GIRLS' GENERATION Taeyeon dating scandal in June 2014.
EXO still released their winter album entitled "SING FOR YOU" on December 2014, eventhough everyone speculates that 2014 was EXO's downfall and EXO was over, that they wouldn't survive after the members lawsuits and a dating scandal.
EXO never complained how hard it was nor how they couldn't keep it on. EXO never wants us to worry about them, because they didn't want to see us in tears.
Remember the time when EXO-M nearly got into a car accident, Baekhyun and Sehun cried the most, and Kai joined them to cry? Remember the time, when Sehun cried during a radio program, Sehun always cry after getting scolded by his hyungs. He'll cry and say "I always pray for my hyungs before I sleep at night."?
Remember the time, when Kris left EXO that time Tao was sleeping at their dorm. Tao woke up, so when the members arrived he asked them where Kris is, because he was nowgere to be seen, but the members stayed quiet. They didn't told Tao that Kris left EXO that day because they don't want him to cry? Remember the time when Tao fell on stage? The time when he was severely ill but still went for photoshoot?
Remember in 2016 when Jongin spent half of a year in a wheelchair and almost fainted on stage? Remember the time when D.O stayed with Kai all night and took good care of him because he was ill?
It was also the same year when Yixing hurt himself and couldn't stop bleeding. Yixing was known for having hemophilia and it is a lifetime disorder. Up until now there's no cure yet, yes there was a medicines but it doesn't really cure hemophilia, it is use to prevent bleeding.
Remember Baekhyun almost fainted on stage but still held on and continued to dance Love Me Right and sing it live? Remember when Chanyeol had to run off the stage to use oxygen mask? Chanyeol was known for having breathing problems and suffered from "HYPOXIA" a deficiency in the amount of oxygen reaching the tissues. It was their concert performance in Osaka, Japan, he collapsed and even used oxygen mask and Sehun said, "stay still". Then he immediately stood up after hearing EXO-Ls cheering.
EXO started with nothing and once labeled as their company's biggest mistake, but they proved everyone wrong.

Despite of cristisms and hate that they received from KNETZ and from ANTIS it didn't stop them to show how talented they are and they really deserved the spot for being one of KPOP's legendary groups.
Remember the time when one of SM Ent staff said "When EXO couldn't stay together, it's the fans that stayed." Like what Minseok said "If EXO and EXO-L's stick together, we are unbeatable." because WE ARE ONE.
The group with 3 Letters , 12 members , 4 sub-groups and 1 heart. That's what we called "EXO".

Promise is one of many songs EXO has dedicated to us fans 2014 as you know was a really bad year for us. Two members leaving the group and people haters warning EXO to break up just because of it so the song promise was an apology to the fans EXO believe they broke their promise to stay 12 members forever. But EXO has never disappointed us

Doesn't matter how many times I watch part 2 of this video about EXO and EXOLs, I always cry. The bond between EXO and their fans is really something so strong and so intense. Really, the feelings always seem very much mutual because EXO makes you feel so important and unique for them. It's just very special :') I love being an EXO-L.

Thank you for reacting to this 2nd part. all idols really give fan service to their supporters but i feel like with EXO, they do it with sincerity, gratitude and love. EXO celebrated their 10th year last April. So many new groups have come and gone but i am in awe of those who still stayed despite their lack of/minimal group activities since members went to military enlistment. until now, exol's have been a force to reckon with in popularity votings, facing the current bigger groups. i am new to the fandom, just last year when i started to be an exo-l. i have yet to see them all in one room but I am willing to wait. we don't know what awaits EXO when every member has finished enlistment. technically, their contract with SM has already expired. but whether they renew or not, exo-l's will continue to support them. even before hiatus era, SM has already neglected them in favor of the younger groups. poor promotions, out-of-stock album during pre-order of Obsession which could have been a million seller. Imagine Obsession as one of their most praised era globally but only the non-million seller album. but illion sellers or not, we're here for EXO

Exo will forever be in my heart, a milestone in my memories.❤️ I actually wasn’t really into singers or bands, I saw them as stuck up and unappreciative to their fans. I got into Exo music and just listened casually until I got to this song “Promise” after researching the reason for the song I watched the live and read the translated lyrics and realized that they had something more with their fans than normal. I realized I had to give the same love back and I’ve never regretted it. Since 2017 they have been there and I hope more people give them the love that they deserve.❤️🥰🥰 glad you liked this video!❤️
The song is super sad because they felt guilty after members left because they told fans that they would stay together “as one” so they essentially apologized in this song and made a new promise to always be there for fans.

There is so much I can say about MAMA, but to summarize: F them. I’m glad EXO went to Hawaii and did EXO Ladder instead the next year. It was glorious seeing their posts and them being silly. 😂 I keep thinking of Suho and Sehun hitting the McD’s and meeting fans.
I don’t know if you noticed, but Baekhyun was speaking to the fandom informally at the awards. He had previously done it, gotten hate, and went straight back here to do it again. We can’t help it if he treats us like family. (we’ve been daughter-zoned btw)
Promise never fails to make me tear up, especially after all that EXO has been dragged through since 2020. So many fans are still here supporting the guys, whether old or new and You can see they really appreciate it. We know Suho knows we miss EXO and is making every festival a chance to say our slogan, and that he will come back with the members, even when promoting himself. Though I have little faith in the company doing right by the members or the group, I have faith in the members and their own decisions. I feel so proud of our fans showing the guys support at their recent overseas schedules, letting them know we’re here wherever they go. I am looking forward to what they do next!

The kpop industry is brutal no matter if it's a small or large record label. Passing auditions and years of training doesn't guarantee a debut. Read horror stories about trainees being worked to the bone, living in run-down dorms and receiving their allowances late (sometimes not at all) but the conditions have improved so much for 4th gen idols.
Later, even if they managed to debut they may eventually disband for various reasons. I've also read about how many of these idols will see very little money for the first couple of years as they need to pay back the label for marketing them (???!).
I love how much gratitude that idols have for their fans but they also need to realize that they've given us as much joy as we have given to them.
Agree with you 100%. Every idol I’ve seen whether it be from a small or big agency, they always come out as being so grateful. They never seem to forget where they came from and how hard they worked to get there. 💕

I was an bts army till 2020 from 2016 back then exo was very huge in kpop and every big awards were there and i used to hate them for being so much popular and when I started to discover exo what's special about them, I truly discovered el Dorado of kpop seriously these guys are legends and every concert performance songs and all their solos are greater than now a days popular group mvs i truly love ❤these guys and now am a huge exo L

I want to start my comment just when I started watching because I want to correct something before I forget.
Idk if you'll realize this later on, but EXO is family videos were created 4 years ago for EXOs debut anniversary. This year they had their 10th anniversary in April. EXO-L, the fandom was created in 2014 in August hence we have two year difference. Before 2014 EXO-Ls didn't have official name, they called themselves exotics mostly, but there were other names like squids for example.
So yeah, that video was posted for EXOs 6th anniversary and not EXO-Ls XD hope that makes sense.
Also, are you going to do a video for Chen? You skipped him while doing the compilations for the members (again, I'm writing this in the beginning of the video, so ignore it if you mention it later on)
