    Here is a detailed look at how i prepared my brand new Royal Enfield 500 Trials Works Replica/Scrambler prior to going out on its very first ride. What you need to know and how to get the very best out of the new motorcycle over a long period of ownership.
    Plus how I tackle the long and tedious running in process and how i go through the process.of doing it on a daily basis.
    I also list the best spark plug you can run it this great little 500cc thumper the NGK BPR6ES or BP6ES
    The trials 500 by Royal Enfield is based on the Royal Enfield Classic 500 platform and is a great first bike for the newcomer to start off with.

    I just purchsed one of the last Enfield Bullet Replica Trials 500s available in Australia and its incredible. Beautiful old school bike, it takes me back in time riding it. Vibrations yes, but that's part of the fun. I put an NGK spark plug in like you suggested but cant comment on it yet. I will go for a ride tomorrow and let you know.

      should go better. i first tried the ngk on a new bike back in 012 and after that put it in every new bike. no beed to gap either just toss it straight in.
      but i will say by the time they got to the euro 4 bikes back in 017 -rear disc new swing arm -these bikes ran better with the bosche plug than the earier model which were prone to plug fouling...lol

    Some good advice. Although in 400 miles everything appears tight at present. Glad you're gonna test a booster plug. Nearly pulled the trigger on one of these today but gonna run in some more and couple more oil changes first. The extra magnets is neat idea. I'm still gonna try this at this later stage of running in. My drain plugs looked like your examples at first change which, I left till scheduled 300miles. Ran oil through fine dive. Oil appeared clear with no debris. I will change again at 500miles. Enjoy that fabulous looking trails 500👍

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've noticed these bikes vary quite a bit. sometimes I do oil changes and the oil comes out pretty clean and other times its the opposite.
      yeah if I can get that booster plug on I will try it in say a week or so once I put the first few important miles on the bike.
      plus I will get an idea if the plug helps the bike run better or not rather than just say it does

    Good video. You say the NGK BPR6ES is "already gapped" - I've been using them and have found them gapped to 0.8 - 0.9 mm out of the box. I then gapped a collection to 0.7mm, which is the gap in the manual - not thinking that hmm, the gap in the manual is probably only appropriate for the plug in the manual (Bosch something-or-other). The ground strap was toasted all the way down to the base! No major problems though. I guess I should "ungap" the rest of my BPR6ES collection.

    Nice little prep roundup there, WildBill. It gets a "thumb's up" from me, though for some reason I've never had much luck with NGKs, so my bikes and whatnot all wear Plain Jane Champions. My old Iron Barrel Bullet seems to adore its N4, just up the heat range a notch from its previous N3.
    As for your lovely gal getting into the act, you might consider cobbling together a fancy-shmancy brief intro blurb for all your videos with a suitable excerpt from that catchy "500 CC" tune of hers. I miss hearing it. Oh yeah, and "NO THANKS!" If I win, can I get a beanie knitted from random scraps and end pieces of different yarns and old mop strands, with maybe the odd feather, tea bag or Bosch plug woven into it? I'd wanna look like a mentally ill Mad Max extra when I stroll into the convenience store. And that would be appropriate. You see, it may be winter down there in Oz, but it's been pushing 40 degrees Celsius (over 100 Fahrenheit) here in Virginia all week, and probably next too. Anyone wearing a knit woolen beanie hereabouts might rightly be considered by law enforcement authorities as a "person of interest".
