When I saw "healer changes" in the title, I was certain it's going to be some flat healing % buff to hpalas - when we run out of fuel, evokers start loading their Stasis. I had some difficulty parsing that post, as the hpala changes seem to be decided by a good ol' coin toss. Shame it landed on the wrong side a few too many times though.

it's not just the 5% nerf to overall healing, its combined with the previous 6% percent nerf we got 2 weeks ago. So far this season we lost 11% overall healing. This is not warranted nor justified. Meanwhile Shamans go unchanged, and we all saw the Pres Evoker nerfs incoming (valid). I really hope they revert the change but like what you said I doubt it as well.
to be fair it's not really 11% since the 5% is after the 6% already nerfed. But I get ya that suck so bad we're already the lowest hps in key and pretty much at the bottom in dps too lol
I don’t think I have ever been this discouraged after getting so excited to finally play HPal again. It really seemed like this was going to be fun. HPal is my favorite spec and hasn’t been great for a long time And then this, I don’t think Blizzard knows what they are doing. I know they make the game, but these are not the moves of people who are understanding things
Honestly… I was focussing too much on my hpala, I don’t have time to be gesring alts and now suddenly they do this. I was having a hard time healing pugs as it was before

I put a lot of work into it, but lately I shifted to my other alts who could be cool I won’t lie, brewmaster has some issues but is a riot to play. And I want back to my original main girl Frost DK and that is a crazy fun spec again
The people do the healing tuning either don’t communicate with the other balance teams or are completely incompetent. I’m leaning towards both. M+ is insanely hard, and most of that difficulty falls to healers to deal with, how is that so hard to grasp. Trying to not be too gloom and doom? I don’t want to play hpala in a meta class system.
Nerfs have been reverted, instead they fixed the bug with Dawnlight and increased it's healing to compensate for it. This means the patch actually has a slight buff for Holy Paladin in M+
Archon shows hpal as last place in hps and dps right now. Before the nerf. So they nerfed the class with the worst throughput in m plus. In what world does that make any sense? Legit, is there a way for us to give blizzard feedback on this to stop it from happening?
@@LeoSpaceman2012no where near dragonflight season 3 or 4. Still not good but DF S3/4 legit made me lose all passion and interest in hpal it was dogshit design AND dogshit throughput. Spec was unplayable. At least now the playstyle is good and its throughput will still be good enough to get by in most competitive content, but ya still feels pretty bad to keep getting nerfed like this :/

Honestly as a person who literally just returned today and is levelling paladin to play h pal in m+ mainly this is irritating. I even played it in season 4 and did ok for how bad it was. Its vastly different now and much more fun to play and these clowns go and throw all these nerfs. Like just let us be decent for a bit. Hoping it doesnt get worse. Also love ellesmere for all the great h pal content. Thanks!
I dont want to discourage you even more but i think you should re-roll to shaman before putting too much effort into hpal. Im currently stuck on 2,7k, played everything on 11 and can't seem to get into 12's. Playing Hpal currently (aka sitting in Dornogal and being in queue) is probably as much impactful as watching grass grow..
I was new to healing and chose hpal and just decided to go ret as all i see is hpal being nerfed and it felt like i couldnt keep peoples health up in M+
I don’t understand the 5% nerf. Based on my napkin math that nerf combined with the Resto Druid buff puts pally on the bottom of the HPS charts using the 95th percentile in mythic
Paladin was my main for a long time, but I also liked playing other healers. I started this season with the paladin and am now a resto shaman. I thought it would be better with the paladin when he gets the equipment he needs. But it doesn't feel good in the m+. Why does a holyshock have 200k hp? And why does a riptide have three times as much? What's the ratio? Then I think it's really nice when you have wings, that healing happens passively, like with the monk/discipline. Why only in a few seconds every minute? That would be a good idea and would play great... why is Blizzard ruining my favorite like that? I'm crying!!!

compared to disc or preserv, this is an awkward change for real for real. Also , Lightsmith will be usable for crit stacking , too bad I'm haste/mastery. Sad
Raid logs, Hpally is currently above average in HPS and that's not counting the damage reduction they bring while you don't exactly have mana problems either. This is going to hurt M+ though - not a good solution in my opinion
It's so weird because like all the healer's throughput was around the same except for Resto Druid who needed God at the start of the expansion and Pres Evoker who was just miles ahead of anybody else. It doesn't make sense for so much of this focus to be on Hpal when it isn't the best in m+ or raid. I play priest and I was just baffled at them getting aura nerfed because that pushes their spot healing even more out of relevancy. They were already in a weird spot with Holy Priest's spot healing getting way better in The War Within through some balance changes plus an insane (for the season) tier set. Plus Halo is just like 8ish times more effective than before which basically transforms it into it's own raid cooldown. I honestly am so curious at what data they were looking at when making this decision because I just am not seeing why it made any sense at all. Especially when Pres has had the smallest changes targeting specific things rather than an aura nerf when it felt like they were the best throughput healer in both m+ and raid.
This is the main reason why I have not even opened to play wow this expansion. I’m so tired of getting hyped to play the game to play “ my main class “ for it to be guttered and be borderline unplayable and have to bribe to play with people… or be told you need to play another heal class to be viable… It’s been going on for too long and now blizzard will no longer get a cent from me. If you literally go look at warcraft logs or archon GG, hpal is the absolute lowest throughput healer already (on archon, second worst on logs). After anothet 5% nerf the spec will be unplayable. I'm almost brand new to this game and chose hpal cuz I like the class fantasy of a plate melee healer, but I might as well just do myself a favor and switch the rsham and join the bandwagon.

Healer balance is a fiesta this season . I'm 99% sure they buff and nerf things just to shake up the meta. I can't believe they left rdruid at the bottom for so long and think 5% buff gonna change anything.

Also holy shock hits like a wet noodle, has an 8 second cooldown and only 2 charges. Aura mastery is a 12% DR on a 3 min cooldown. Eveoker has a 20% on a 2 min. Holy light might as well be thrown out and flash of light, even talented with 50% into beacon feels weaker than holy shock. Why defend blizzard and give them cover to continue to gut the class? Why not call them out. They listen to players such as yourself and you can be a voice for the community to force positive changes. I am probably rerolling resto shaman until we get some love. Im tired of being turned down for mythic 10+ keys.
Blizz wont listen if I scream HPAL LITERALLY DEAD and overreact to a 5% nerf. They’re infinitely more receptive to level headed feedback in my experience over the years. I do say I think it’s unwarranted, but also using holy shock as an example might not be your best argument. HS is a generator, the fact that it heals for a decent amount is already pretty amazing compared to DF, it’s not supposed to be a huge spot heal the way riptide is for rsham cuz it generates holy power. WoG is supposed to be the big hitter and right now it does feel like WoG is pretty strong. I don’t think buffing caster hpal would be healthy for the spec. Imo what we need is the opposite of the nerf: aura buff our healing by 5% healing but then nerf dawnlights bugged interaction where it’s not being reduced beyond 5 targets. That’ll help lessen the discrepancy between strength from fight to fight in raid, and would also buff our healing in m+ while keeping our overall strength in raid at a strong level

Hpal is giga fun now. I don’t understand why u guys isn’t happy lol. Nerfs and buffs it’s just part of the game lol. The only shit I don’t like in game now is meta evokers in the raid. But anyway, hpal is uber-nice now. I love it

That’s very true and will always be true. Most people’s complaints about hpal are regarding our strength in m+ though, not as much raid. Also the issue with raid is with out healing throughput on the later bosses on mythic, which isn’t very relevant for most of the playerbase, so I agree with you that raid wise hpal was in a good spot and still will be doing fine. I also love our playstyle a ton and am glad they aren’t affecting that with these nerfs. As for m+ though I do think this sucks, our group survivability was pretty good for players really proficient at the spec but in general people struggle a lot with hpal compared to other healers already. The nerfs feel really unnecessary for raid and just tone deaf for m+ imo, but I agree with you that the playstyle is super fun and will continue to be which I’m very happy about
looking at 99% mythic are we? check invidual bosses on both mythic and heroic and come back, the graphs look different than you think they do. nerfs are weird if a class isnt outperforming by a sizeable margin, if you actually check the data properly you will see that this is definitely not the case for holy paladin.

They just missed numbers. The idea was to nerf all healing by 50% and buff Lightsmith damage by 5%, but thank god something went wrong

ummm the top mythic plus healers are sham and evoker. ive been trying to push 11 keys on hpal but its impossible without BIS and being geared
You speak of the 5% reduction as if it exists in a vacuum of space. Dont forget the 6%. Its now 11% reduction in less than a month.

Resto Druid doesn't offer any damage reduction.. H Pal should be at the bottom in terms of HPS.
HPal healing reduction already reverted, also dawnlight fixed and buffed in m+, other changes stay, dont reroll yet ;)
I swear blizzard gave tuning to an AI and doesnt bother to proof read the output and sends the patch through

Hpal is giga fun now. I don’t understand why u guys isn’t happy lol. Nerfs and buffs it’s just part of the game lol. The only shit I don’t like in game now is meta evokers in the raid. But anyway, hpal is uber-nice now. I love it

@@Jamurra1 yeah, same shit bruda. Hpal forever. But the funniest thing is that it plays really well now. The only exception is crazy evokers in the raid. However, it doesn't prevent me from enjoying my favorite hpal
@@fractalalpaca9027 hpal feels so good even with nerfs. I see logs saying we are bottom but I don't think we are. I think it really depends on the player. Someone who knows their class well will always be better than a meta whore in my eyes
That’s very true and will always be true. Most people’s complaints about hpal are regarding our strength in m+ though, not as much raid. Also the issue with raid is with out healing throughput on the later bosses on mythic, which isn’t very relevant for most of the playerbase, so I agree with you that raid wise hpal was in a good spot and still will be doing fine. I also love our playstyle a ton and am glad they aren’t affecting that with these nerfs. As for m+ though I do think this sucks, our group survivability was pretty good for players really proficient at the spec but in general people struggle a lot with hpal compared to other healers already. The nerfs feel really unnecessary for raid and just tone deaf for m+ imo, but I agree with you that the playstyle is super fun and will continue to be which I’m very happy about

looking at 99% mythic are we? check invidual bosses on both mythic and heroic and come back, the graphs look different than you think they do. nerfs are weird if a class isnt outperforming by a sizeable margin, if you actually check the data properly you will see that this is definitely not the case for holy paladin.
