Very sorry for the super long delay between videos... I've been a bit sidetracked with other things this year. This has always been one of my favourite Led Zeppelin songs and one of the few that I actually play. Robert's voice is untouchable and I try to steer clear most of the time. Written by Robert Plant and Jimmy Page at Bron-Yr-Aur and released on Led Zep's 3rd album in 1970. I hope you enjoy :)

That is a great cover and here’s the 3 things that make it so good
1. The guitar sounds and is recorded very nice
2. Your addition of finger picking at the end adds to the great sound
3. You didn’t try to be Robert. You made it your own but kept the nuances of the vocals

I agree! I like it when singers do not try to hit notes out of their range. (I sound like garbage when I try to sing the high notes. I can sing along to Jim Morrison, Morrissey, or other singers close to my range.)
Bravo!!!! I woke up at 4am with this song raging in my head. I had to get up and put the headphones on and give it a spin, only way to clear my head. Ended up for three more hours diving into the other melodic trips like Tangerine, The battle to evermore and others. It's a paradox as these tunes are old, but NEVER get old. What happened to music, that it has lost the art and beauty of great song writing. It's all chugging or kiddy pop now. Becoming a lost art.
It takes real nuts to cover Plants vocals. Well done sir.

Yes, can't say it's my overall favorite...but it's definately top 3.

Beautiful, Corey. Two thing I love about your covers: The songs you choose have an emotional resonance with your audience and yourself, and you sing right on the edge of your vocal range, which allows that emotion to really flow honestly. Nothing about your music seems contrived, it is very pure.
This video, the song, the performance, the feels, man.....it deserves so, so many more views. Just damn! I keep coming back to this over and over. My favorite TH-cam performance.

This lesser known Zepp tune is a favorite of mine. Your interpretation...maintaining the slower tempo from the original recording intro, is interesting and works well imo. Your guitar sounds sublime (big Martin fan here) and the quality of this recording is very good. Nice work.

An exceptional personal interpretation of this song, vocal and instrumentally. Is that standard tuning? I can not seem to the disconnect of the rhythm playing and the singing!! So my first attempt is going to be lay the guitar down then sing over it… but yes it’s a great song.
