The 24mm 1.4 GM and The 135mm 1.8 GM are GREAT lenses !!! So Sony keep those GM primes lenses comming... Wish for 55mm GM, 300 4.0 GM 400 4.5 GM and more... oh yeah and a macro GM without stabilizer !
Great review John! You should consider making a review of the Sony imaging app as a remote for Sony Cameras. It's a good app and there are not many videos that cover it in detail. Especially since it is really great for people wanting to monitor themselves while making videos (Like everybody who makes YT videos)

Are you sure "A" on the aperture ring means the "camera does the thinking for you"? I don't have this lens, but every time I've used a lens with an aperture rings on other systems, "A" simply allows the aperture to be controlled from the regular dial on the camera body

Question; I just got my copy today. When you move the aperture ring , do you hear a soft noise inside the lens? When opening the aperture all the way to F1.4? Just want to make sure my copy is not defective
Very interested in purchasing this lens. At the moment im looking for a wide angle lens for travel and astro, and this fits the bill. My only concern is that i have the tamron 28-75, is the extra 4mm worth it? or should i go for the wider 18mm Zeiss f2.8? Any help is appreciated
I'd say go for this lens! The F1.4 aperture definitely helps! If you go wider with the Zeiss you won't really gain much at all because the lens isn't any better when it comes to low light conditions.

Do you use peak design straps? Hand strap? Suggestions?
I usually use the Peak Design cuff and the slide lite if I don't have my backpack. Other times I use my capture clip. Best investment ever!!
