Everyone goes into the New Year with the best of intentions and full of promises, or at least resolutions, on how we’ll make this a better year. Aside from the social media promises we often make, it’s easy for this to be the month where slip down the slope of negativity, depression, and even despair. There’s a reason January is home to Blue Monday. But what is the remedy? Surely after “the most wonderful time of the year”, simply being cheery doesn’t sound like what the doctor ordered. Maybe there’s a prescription that’s much richer, more satisfying, and may even deeply change your life and our world. The psalmist called that salvation.
