    What a beautiful wood. Glad it was excavated from the rain forest. Personally I don't like the idea of cutting deown growing trees. (WHICH this tree is clearly NOT. As it was already on the ground or in the ground when found.) Responsible (my and others definition) logging should cut only trees from MANAGED forests. But salvaging in/on the ground logs is fair game. AND much encouraged. Some of those lost logs can be quite unique and large.
    If it was mine, I would cut for many large tables (conference, dining, bars) and even a few round ones. One concern I have is that being on the rainforest floor this wood must (assumption) have a high moisture content, as it dries it would naturally cup as they are rift sawing the wood. Some checking has already been seen which could be mitigated with epoxy.

    • @luatmac
      @luatmac  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes. That's right sir! After a while, the wood will crack and tear! But with our expertise, we have preserved it very well.

    I wish, on these types of videos, that people would tell us what species of trees these are.
    I know that this tree was "excavated" and they didn't see it growing, but most people can tell what their native trees are by the look of the trunk and woodgrain.

      Ekop wood is also known as Ekop Meyer or Ekop Zing, when imported to Vietnam it is often called go wood. This type of wood often grows and develops well in fertile land, so Ekop wood is very large in size, but its hardness is not as good as Pachy or Gana wood. Durable: Ekop wood has good impact and strength resistance, so furniture made from this type of wood has a long life.
      Good termite resistance: Ekop wood when processed through modern production processes and machinery does not have mold or termites.
      Beautiful wood grain: Ekop wood grain is relatively uniform, creating a unique appeal for the product.
      Ability to carve sophisticated lines: The next outstanding advantage of Ekop wood is that it is used to make sophisticated fine art products, can be carved with a smooth surface and has high screw holding ability.
      Disadvantages
      The price of Ekop wood is quite high.
      The weight of Ekop wood is quite heavy, so when producing furniture, it will take time to transport.

We have gone through more than 1000 years of Chinese domination, 120 years of fighting against the invasion of the 3 largest powers in the world, we fought back and defeated foreign invaders with only primitive weapons and no protective gear! That's why we are used to wearing comfortable clothes to work! The bosses have fully equipped us with shoes, clothes, hats... but we want to wear free clothes to work as comfortably as possible! Many people in the world wonder about protective gear! We just laugh! Maybe they will think that we disregard life, but behind us are wives and children, so we will try our best and everyone is safe! Maybe it was the smooth coordination at work and God's blessing on us.
