- The biggest doors Ive ever built! 16' tall and almost 10' wide and we built them in just a day and a half. These were built to divide part of my friends art studio from their work space. Check out Serena and Aric's business here:

Great build!
my knees hurt watching both of you kneel on the concrete like that
Awesome work brother. Those are serious doors. It’s impressive that the simple x pattern works at that scale. 👍🏼
Simple designs would probably work better for just about everything. We tend to over complicate everything with fancy designs. That’s great if doesn’t have to be functional.
Awesome job....love the ball joints
Great job in engineering the hinges and including a grease fitting!! I have been replacing some rusted / seized hinges on outdoor gates recently and have been doing something very similar, on a much smaller scale. Drilling and tapping the top for a grease fitting was an idea I had that has worked brilliantly on two repair jobs so far.
Keep up the great work and the very instructional videos
Bunch of toys. ❤
Congrats on an incredible build! So fun when the skills you've acquired transfer over to something out of the ordinary.
Those doors are BA! Thanks for taking us along. Good to know a 110 welder is capable of that type of result. Love it.
Perfectly detailed and produced. 👏👏👏
Nice work, working within the confines and inaccuracies of a space really are what makes on-site work such a challenge when compared to a standalone piece.
It's fun watching things like this come together as it's much more than your average doors. I can't do all this metalwork so it's
great seeing people who know how, along w/ their tricks of the trade. peace
This is really neat!
thats a big, badass door!
Great work!!!!!
Nice job. I like it!
Bravo 11/10 c'est un vrai régal de vous suivre, le process et les explications très utiles. Merci.
nice job
great job, congrats mate
Awesome work
Interesting video, fun project!
Wow. Nice video. Great work. Mahalo for sharing! : )
Hello, you are amazing, your designs seem very meticulous, I really like your videos
Thank you very much!!!
FYI Simpson StrongTie makes a concrete screw anchor with a beveled head so you can have a flush countersink finished look. Sweet work getting 2ea 16ft slabs flat. I always check the concrete slab I'm building on to see if its level, flat, etc so i don't build bad concrete work into a steel frame I'm building.
We need some Matt commentary!!!
I would love to have some of those tools yo i love that miter saw
Top job. That's why you make the big bucks! When s hits the fan, and it's coming. don't kid yourself. I want you on my ark!
Nice work ! Does the evolution saw work good without clamping the material?
Absolutely! I didn’t clamp anything I cut during this build just gotta hold on tight. I will say that’s probably not advised by evolution, and for round material definitely throw a clamp on wick.
wait until the ball flattens 🫣
Small question, is there a reason for not tacking in the diagonal braces before welding it all together? My thought is that it would help a lot with warp prevention
No handles yet? Ever? They should paint the cross bracing of the door a light silver to match the aluminum. Also looks kind of weird with their rectangles over the X's. Great job on the doors though! Interested in seeing their whole facility. I assume the extra large doors are to be able to fork lift large items through? Or is it all design?
what's keeping them in the closed position
@@bigcat1067 we have to make some handles and a lock but for now they just stay closed from the little bit of friction in the hinge
Your skills of design and fabrication are equaled by your talent at videography. You could earn a living creating instructional videos if you ever decide to forgo the hard physical stuff.
Where’s your harness?
без подшипников -это ерунда полная.
The steel ball inside the hinges acts as a bearing, hence the smooth motion of the doors.
@@CallumRepairs согласен. это классика. следовало меньше уделять время показа сварки и больше времени схеме конструкции и расчетам.
@@CallumRepairs we need a spoon feeding version of this video showing the back ground planning and the problems you faced.
I know it'll get you less views but heh heh let us learn a little something something from yourself.
