      Thanks Amos, appreciated. Yeah tolerance levels - we can choose at what level we tolerate things. The source was great - my third route up. A couple more to go. The music came as natural as the walk. Take care over there. Mark

    A fantastic adventure with Keith, I remember the trip with Mike. Commanding views of Wales from on top. Keith was taking about breathing in the air as an extension on the lungs. Such a awesome way to describe it all. Thanks Mark very enjoyable video. Trev

    Multidimensional h20 Mark, so well put and our wonderful Wye is a part of that. Folks of today on average are less robust than our ancestors. You and Keith are wonderful walk partners, great to watch and listen to with a stunning soundtrack to match the Cambrian's. Thank you for another adventure shared with memories made. Paul :)

    • @WyeExplorer
      @WyeExplorer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes indeed Paul a very versatile element is water as you know. Keith is a good friend - he's a life guard down the pool. We've known each other many years. And he loves wild camping and adventure. So a good union! He's also a fantastic thinker. Them Cambrians Paul are wild - very different to the Beacons. I recommend them mate. You'd love it! Well, thanks for the comment. A pleasure to share. Until the woodland. Take care. Mark

    • @PaulOutdoors
      @PaulOutdoors 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wye Explorer Yes Mark, Keith certainly gives off a good vibe, a kindred soul and I agree, a visit to the Cambrian's and the source of our beloved Wye is a must for me in the near future. Yes, until the woodlands :)

    • @WyeExplorer
      @WyeExplorer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry for the delay Paul. Keith is a good man....a good friend to us both. If you go to the upper Wye and are inspired to contact me please do - I'd love that...a wild camp maybe also. If not solo is good Paul or with Nick. Either way you'll have a fab time. Just left a message on your phone. Peace!

      Hello Mark. Great seeing you earlier and catching up. Thank you for the cuppa. Wonderful to hear the whispers from spirit making contact with you and you receiving them loud and clear :) Keith like you Mark is a good soul with a good heart. We can discuss an upper Wye walk and camp together when we visit the permission woodland in the next week or two. Peace to you also Mark :)

    • @WyeExplorer
      @WyeExplorer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Morning Alan, I think you would love the Upper Wye and the Cambrians - they have this wildness about them that the Beacons for example don't have. Keith is a good man - I swim and he life guards in Hereford. Yeah, my music is like my dear brother Paul's taste p eclectic! Take care and have a good weekend. Mark

    Stunning in any weather , some folk from my town used to walk over 10 miles to work in a textile mill for 14 hours then walk back I’d love to find the source of the Tweed another fine River like the Wye, amazing how rivers start with just a drip 💧 best wishes man

I love that area and intend to explore more of it. Fantastic view point from that trig and it's not too bad a climb to get to either. A pleasant and calming area. *_Hello Mark, this is another great story from you, accompanied by Keith. A fantastic, but also stormy adventure (you are used to this weather, for me it would have been too uncomfortable..... ;-) laugh). Beautiful stories, as far as I could understand and translate them. Good mentions for Alan, he was pleased. I would never eat this glibbery frog mass, rather take other protein... so with some chocolate around it :)))))))))) Mark, the music is awesome, everything fits, you have created moods with it, the video made very expressive, I am very enthusiastic again! Have a great Sunday, all the best wishes for you, best regards, Angela_*

      @WyeExplorer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good morning Angela, it's a wet morning here but beautiful. As you say I seem to like these stormy days but you accept what you're given. I'm really happy to hear from you again - your encouraging words are always taken on board. Yes, this was a great walk with Keith a friend of Paul's to. We both love out music - you choose some great stuff to. I was a rave DJ for many years and I think the ability to choose right comes from that. Well, many thanks again Angela. I wish you all the best today whatever you do. Take care as always. Mark

    I really like the feel of this one, Mark and you appear to be in a good place throughout.
    I hope to make the journey there myself, sometime this year.
    I find it quite humbling, to see the source of the Wye and to think of what it soon becomes. It could just have easily have amounted to nothing at all, I imagine.
    All the best to you.

    Beautiful up there Mark, you were both definitely rockin' on Plynlimon! :) From my point of view it was really nice to see the countryside around where the Wye starts. Looks really spectacular and I love all that bleak mountain moorland. I did laugh at the bit where you were pointing to Keith then Plynlimon then the snow! :) You sure would have got good vibes up there and I did watching this. Nice one Mark, always good to watch you. Always astounding that from a few drips and a trickle a mighty river can unfold.As you say Mark,those lead miners would have been hardy folk,i feel the same when i walk among the tin and copper mines here and try to picture what their lives would have been like,punishing for the most i'd imagine.That looked a good chilled hike with an equally chilled Keith.Hope all's well mate.

    • @WyeExplorer
      @WyeExplorer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Morning Andy, I trust you're well. Yes, it all comes from the vastness of space itself. Seemingly not there but there. I know what you mean about the working miners who labored. You have to spare them a thought - it was a hard and punishing life as you rightly say. As for the hike Andy it's what healing is made of. Just feels good! Many thanks my friend. Take care. Mark

    Hi Mark. It was good to meet you and Andy on the Wye Valley Walk last week, near Hay on Wye. I enjoyed Merbach Hill. Two days later I also enjoyed the mountain walk into Builth Wells, as you said I would. I'm planning to complete the Wye Valley Walk next summer. For completeness I also want to visit the source of the Wye, so this video is very useful. Thank you. Have you ever tried to follow the Wye from the source to meet up with the Wye Valley Walk path?

    • @WyeExplorer
      @WyeExplorer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mark. Good to hear from you and yes I agree it was great to meet up. So glad you enjoyed that Builth stretch. The look back towards the Black Mountains is epic and the valley below both towards Builth and away is beautiful. I enjoyed Merbach to - steep the other side. Glad the video is useful. As for the Wye source and path I've done it twice all the way through from the top up and down. It's impressive - I recommend it. In fact in the video regarding this last walk I showcase it somewhat. Any way, hope you do it to. Take care and hope to see you again. Mark

    Nice hiking mark, nice point on H20. We are positioned in exactly the right part of the galaxy so that water can exist in its various states on our earthly home. How cool is that. The chance of this happening by a fluke is 10 to the power of 78, more atoms than in the galaxy and beyond. Does that get you thinking. Water is awesome.

    • @WyeExplorer
      @WyeExplorer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Morning Shane, Yes my friend water is an awesome substance. Mind you water is of the vastness we see - creation if you like. I like the idea Shane that water is sentient and has awareness as Masaru Emoto in his experiments demonstrates. I resonate with your questions and thoughts my friend. Take care. Mark.

    I remember that video you did with Mike, similar sort of weather as well as I remember. Looks completely deserted and agree, people did seem to be a lot tougher in days gone by but then again, I guess they did not have much choice, maybe too much choice for people in todays world. Never heard of that Festival Mark but we went to Bloodstock for about 5 years in a row until they increased the capacity and ticket price about 4 years ago, so I said I would not go again unless they had Judas Priest on headlining and guess what, the Priest are headlining this year! We will only do one day, as my mother who is 87 is not very well and depending on how that goes we may not get at all but I would love to see the Priest live again (that was a canny cover by the way). Thank you very much for the shout out Mark, I really appreciate it and your marra seemed a canny lad as well - two of a kind! Cheers Alan

      Agree people adapt and they can live in very harsh conditions...I watch some of these reality TV shows and think....have you ever been to Fiji they live this way every day never think twice about not having running water or electricity....

      Too true, we are born into cotton wool today, in the Western world and it is nice that people do not have to suffer like others still do today in other areas but I wonder how many people actually appreciate and are thankful for what they do have. Cheers Alan

      @WyeExplorer  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you're right Alan, it was stormy weather last time. Good though as you know! Hey they don't call it the 'desert of Wales' for nothing Alan. It's vast on the tops there. It gives you a thrill! The Priest? Now that's awesome they're playing live this year and headlining. I've been listening to them recently. Have a great time at the event. The shout out was a pleasure - it came out natural like! Well, thanks for the view and comment. Appreciated. Take care for now. Mark

    Just caught this as we're thinking of bringing the van up to Nant y Moch and climbing Plylumon this weekend. A mountain I've never done. Looks a nice wild area...wind farms excepted! What a pity the Cambrian Mountains were never declared a NP-as was proposed- as these precious areas could have been protected .

When I got into Hereford her said he was over Half hour late and that his scheduled time was 4.25 PM. I said I was going to catch that one but on account of a timetable I had dated 2014 I opted for 5.05 PM. He said it was my lucky day. How about that? I would have been walking home. Ha ha! Hi Mark,
    Just starting to catch up - I have been away from TH-cam for a little bit, things have been rather busy with the change of job and some family stuff going on. Hopefully I'll have a bit more time now. But this was a fantastic video to come back to, a stunning part of the country. The photography and editing absolutely superb mate, there were shots that could have come straight out of Game of Thrones. And great to see s destination revisited from a different perspective, the end of the snow and the frogspawn on the go, what better symbols of the transition of the seasons. Top notch music there by the way :))) Thanks for sharing, take care mate. All the best, rich.

      Hi there Rich - good to hear from you. I know how life can get my friend. Things take a turn and you have to re-establish yourself. It takes a lot of effort. I hope things are beginning to make sense. It is beautiful and rough and wild up there. I did my best on the photography whilst on the move and of course I always try with the editing. As for going back I will be back again to explore more routes. Thanks for the visit Rich - it was a pleasure to share. Have a great week. Mark

    When H2o meet with the Metals in the Mountains then there is.. Rust! Well you and Kieth were far from rusty following that discharge of the negative ions and all in all, a positive hike. Love the source videos Mark, seen a few now and hey always inspire some ideas for me to follow up soon. Those Lead men of the past they were tough and lots of rivalry between the men of the mines as they scrambled to find the best veins down there. And of toughness, then even on the surface, just the dry stone walls has me in awe at the effort and hard work behind them. Hope to be out soon and release some negative energy that life had to put on thy head with the outcome being a film or two to stir up some debate haha. ATB Stehen.

      I didn't ask you to watch this Lisa. It meant a lot to me for you to watch the requested video-my late twin brother was in it and it was a great river/mountain hike. Thing is you haven't even responded to the comment that contains the link shared - that's been ignored totally and utterly. It demonstrates something in you to defy a simple share in this way. The Wye - it's on your list is it? All the best.
