  • Recovering for near disaster. Lowbed got too close to the edge of the road and it started to sluff. Took 4 days, 2 KW 850's, 1 Hayes WHD, 1 Hayes HDX, one pulled eye, 1 broken block. Pulled the 7230 up right with a luff and a whip.

    Make me wish i had a GoPro on the Charlotte's when we had a 044 Madil fall off a bridge, laying on its side, i was the rescue Mechanic in charge, got a letter from BC Enviorment on the excellent job of oil spill control,had the christmas tree on the intake manifold hooked to the fuel tank and the twin disc convertor and on the coolant tank to keep the fluids under vacum instead of leaking got her out, 6 hour rest, then some glass work a hose and itp tyje hili she went. All good memories.

    I know stuff happens. But how the hell don't you stay to the high side with a load like that?

      Spent much time on the backroads, hauling big loads? It happens to the best of them, small lapse in concentration, weak shoulder, good weather etc.
