It's somewhat less hypnotic when you're walking through it and the people ahead of you are a group of 8 tourists from Boise ID that don't understand walking a quarter mile an hour and stopping every half block to take a bunch of pics is A REALLY BAD IDEA during rush hour. Trust me 😡😲

My first stay in Manhattan, I was at a hotel on 44th & 8th. I got to know that area very well because I walked it a lot, and there was snow on the ground at the time. I had a blast! Thanks for taking me back there for a rainy day visit.

If you ever do come, I as a native NYer must tell you that while the city is great and a must see you must to get out of Manhattan and see Queens and Brooklyn and even the Bronx (Yankee stadium/BX zoo) and even Staten Island. This is the real NY. Manhattan is just the window dressing. Very beautiful and expensive window dressing but still just the same.

My only question is how do you get the umbrella to open with one hand on the gimbal. Must be the third hand.
It’s tricky but I can do it! Hold the umbrella with the gimbal in the same hand while the other one opens the umbrella.
