I can speak Cambodian well because it’s my mother tongue and I came to Canada at 9 years old, but I’m definitely learning new words and old Cambodian sayings in your videos. My favourite was from another video, “If you can’t handle the smoke, you can’t handle the mother in law”. 😆 Your videos are educational beyond food and culture!
Except for the word choncheate which translates to ethnic. He’s using that word to describe ethnic minorities. Also, this word has been used by some Khmer in Cambodia to refer to foreigners. When you say choncheate, something else has to follow it, such as choncheate Khmer, choncheate Lao, etc.
