Thank you so much, Ruth. First I think we need to have a Ruth shawl Knit along for sure for sure. My father-in-law is 92 years old and he’s in the hospital. I believe looking at his end days. I would ask that you please pray for him to be able to go peacefully, thank you
Thank you, Ruth, for sharing your uplifting thoughts. Psalm 46 is perfect for praying in these distressing times. I loved seeing your projects, as well.
Oh dear, I just sat down to listen to your episode and my 13-year old started gaming with his friend and yes, headphones and loud. He was sitting quietly--how do they sense it?? 😂 It's also taken me half the day to watch with all the interruptions. Anyway.... Gorgeous shawls Ruth! Thanks for the discount code--since I knit shawls the way others knit socks, I of course need to go have a look.
Lovely to knit with you! Glad you are feeling better and “you go girl” re: moving more👍. I can sit an knit for days!!! Have to force myself to get up and go…no addiction here- lol. Love all your knits and that Basic sweater is gorgeous- lucky acquaintance! I put the pattern in the cue for Paddy…someday😂. Take care and see you (virtually) soon👏👏👏🥰
Hi Ruth, thank you for your encouragement. I'm in a "I don't know what I believe" place at the moment and will often want to switch off as soon as someone starts talking about anything to do with Christianity, but with you, in the privacy of my own home, it feels manageable and non-judgemental. So thank you and I'm always impressed with how much knitting you can get done and the joy that you have.
Thank you so much!!!!! I truly believe that God gave us the Psalms for those times we are weak, have no direction, and just need recentering. I sat, eyes closed, as you read a Psalm that I absorbed a couple months ago during a hard time. But tears flowed when you read a song I grew up on and recently it came to mind. Thank you for letting us see your humanity because Christians are human too. I for one have lots of times of muddled thoughts and discombobulation from the news and remind myself God is coming back to have His victory. Hallelujah!
Delightful way to spend a Wednesday morning! We missed you last week, Ruth. Welcome back and hope you continue to get stronger. We need the joy and smiles you bring. All your knits are gorgeous, but I am partial to the Antrim Shawl! It is beautiful. You did the designer proud. Perfect colours for you. I was chuffed when you said you wore it to church. Thank you so much for knitting the Antrim Shawl and for your continued enthusiastic support. I will keep on designing, you keep on knitting. Still a lot of places in Norther Ireland to visit. Hmmm, where shall we go next? Love and Irish hugs from Canada Brenda
Oh Ruth thanks so much for your inspirational words. Psalms 25:16-17 has really helped me when I am overwhelmed by the what’s happening in the news. Your words are so true we need to pray! And on another note- I have bought Brenda’s shawl and once I empty my needles will be casting it on😊
Yes Ruth I do have some of those problems with the news and what's going on in the world too. When we have too much that we can't do anything about (of course the first thing to do is pray!) it creates chaos in the mind and heart I think. I don't watch too much to keep it in check. God will give us peace! You are overloaded it sounds like.
Lovely to see you again Ruth and all your fo's and wips. I got the Antrim shawl. Well I live in Antrim and it was nice to see it knit up. I just might have some yarn for that😊. Love your message at the end. Happy Birthday to your wee Daddy. See you next time.❤
Oh how i love that song... It Will be Worth it All!!! ❤ I try to remind myself of that every day. Thank you so much for sharing with us, Ruth! 💞 I'm glad you're feeling better. Your knitting is so lovely. Take care!
Ruth, your laugh is contagious and as someone who had open heart surgery in December, finding you in February was a gift from God. I know how our hardships are God's glory. I find Him in all things and that includes knitting. Thank you for your encouragements, scripture readings and overall wonderful message of our King. Many, many thanks for the past few months helping me get through a tough time. The knitting, joyous laugh and God is a blessing and I look forward to more.
Hello Ruth. Although I am a knitter and came to your videos on that basis, I also enjoy the joy and love of life that shines out from you, which you share with this of us that watch. Have a great week and I will look forward to your next video.
I always look forward to your podcasts especially the spiritual insights shared! I loved the idea that you gave away 18 shawls at the church workshop. I think they’ll be well loved!!
Hi RUTH thank you soooo much for all the knittings and news ,but also for your wee script at the end absolutely much much better for us to listen to you than the television ,we haven’t had the television on in our house since 2022 ,find life much better without it now we actually talk to each other ,so thank you such a lot you are a real star in my l home xxx❤
Ruth, it is amazing how fast you get projects done......all are so gorgeous! you inspired me to purchase the Antrim shawl........I had to laugh when you were talking about knitting in the car and you put the cone on the steering wheel....now I know you didn't mean 'while' driving but i had to laugh and thought - 'well, that's how she gets so much done' hahahaha
Thank you Ruth, beautiful work and enjoyed your chat at the end. I too am upset by what is going on in the world and turn the television off. Have a joyful week ❤❤❤
Absolutely loved it as usual Ruth, your knitting is so inspiring. Always look forward to your uplifting message at the end, I don’t know where we would be without God in our lives, my favourite psalm is the one on your wall. Thankyou so much xx
❤ Lovely podcast, beautiful makes. So good to have coffee with you today. I really embrace brioche but struggle with Fisherman’s rib - how does that make sense, I don’t know. - It is hard to shut out the sorrow in the world when you care so much for others and cannot bring an end to the dreadful suffering caused by hands other than their own. I have so much gratitude for my many blessings too and never take them for granted. I think that gives me strength to carry on each day and not let the evil in the world change me. All the best, Joyce
Hi Ruth i feel your pain about sons who game and wear headphones and dont realize how loud they are yelling lol - another lovely podcast, you have gotten me to become a huge fan of shawls and also of Twinset and Purl!
Lovely as always to see your podcast. I like the Anthony socks and I think I will have to knit my vicar a pair as he is called Anthony! 😂 I wish you lived nearby as I’d love to have a knitty friend like you. I’m in the UK but the other end! North West. Here’s a clue:- we have a tower 🤣
"If you look at the world, you'll be distressed. If you look within, you'll be depressed. But if you look at Christ, you'll be at rest." - Corrie ten Boom
Hi Ruth, I agree, the Yarnsmiths Merino sock yarn is beautiful. So soft & I think my favourite sock yarn. I agree, life is hard at the moment with the chaos surrounding us. I don't know how people without faith cope. Thanks for another fun podcast🎉
Thank you for another lovely podcast Ruth. It’s nice to hear you are feeling better and getting more active. Remember when returning to activity to start slow…Rome wasn’t built in a day. :) Re: Shutting off the news. I do that too.
Lovely to see you again Ruth. Your yellow socks are gorgeous. Your son reminds me so much of my own son, also called Samuel, he used to play on his computer with his friends too. All would be peaceful until he got really excited then anything could happen. My Sam is now 25 years old and lives in his own house but still enjoys gaming. Happy Birthday to your lovely Dad.
What a timely message today. It has been a difficult season and I am often feeling overwhelmed. I love Psalm 46 and it was a great reminder. Thank you. I will also be downloading the Anteim shawl. Beautiful!
Another great podcast Ruth. A great thought at the end to encourage us in this troubled world where people are looking for answers and help to get through lifes storms. It's good to "be still " at times and take it all to the Lord. Loved Nigels' thoughts last month on my favourite verse. "Fear not......." He needs to come back on again due to popular demand . Keep up the great work 👍
Ruth. So good to see you. Always look forward to your podcast. You do such beautiful work. Thank you for the devotionals. I look forward to them. My mother was a Sunday School teacher for years. See you next time.
I bought the shawl pattern you gave us the code for on IG the first day. Thank you! It’s going to be beautiful! I love your generous nature to share your beautiful shawls with so many others! That’s wonderful! I’m sorry your surgeries haven’t worked. That must be discouraging! I’ll keep you in my prayers. Thank you for your message at the end. I never miss it. You have a great spirit with you that makes all the difference as I listen. ❤ It always touches me and resonates in my heart as truth. Hang in there. Keep doing all the good things. He will never leave us on our own. I love knowing that it is our job to love and His job to heal. And He will. Take care! KnitByGramsy
It was great to spend time with you today. Glad you are feeling better and all of your shawls are lovely. I actually just cast on the Artus shawl. Thanks too for all your encouraging words...take care of yourself.
Ruth, I just adore you! In the several years I have binge watched to get caught up to all the current episodes, you have remained Ruth. I cannot emphasize the wondrous phenomenon enough, because so many You Tubers start out humble but I think something sometimes goes to their heads and they become snobbish and greedy and I just cant wrap my head around who they are today. Anyways, thank you for Ruth Loves to Knit keeping the relatable Ruth piece. I am a quiet Christian and I so enjoy the last segment of your podcasts. It's the Lord speaking through you. What a gift!
Thanks for the visit Ruth. I love your outlook and have been taking that mantra in my life too. I'll knit what I want, when I want and with whatever yarn I want. Life is too short to knit things you don't love.
Dear Ruth love your podcasts as always you bring a smile to my face, I love your wee talks and thoughts at the end. I was brought up a Christian but life experiences turned me away I wish I could believe and I have the psalm you read in the front of my diary, I love that thought “be still and know “, life and the world would be so much better if we all did indeed follow the 10 commandments, can you imagine…..anyhoo I’m off to sleep, a Glasgow girl living in Australia, take care lots of love ❤
Ruth, I appreciate this devotional. I am in the midst of confusion at work, at home and even in my church. This does cause me to want to hide, but it also leaves me “homesick” for my true home. I must keep reminding myself that HE has left me here because his purpose has not been completed in me. I don’t need to understand, but I do need to be satisfied that HE has me in HIS hand.
Always lovely to see you and catch up on your making! You always remind me of how much I love shawls! 😍 Your brioche one looks amazing and your Antrim is so beautiful! I think I might cast on the small version too as I have a few 50g handspun skeins in my stash. Take care, glad to hear you are feeling better 💕
Thank you Ruth for your encouraging words from Psalm 46. I needed to hear it today. It’s amazing how God knows your heart ,and He brings you to that moment in time when you stop and listen.
I don’t usually comment but always enjoy your podcast. This morning your reading of the psalm & comments just moved me so much. I sat quietly & remembered why I became a Christian. I remembered to believe & trust in god . Thank you from the bottom of my heart .
Thankyou so much for your lovely podcast this afternnon. It was just what I needed - your message was so welcome. God Bless you Ruth x Lesley @DownDuckpoolLane
Thank you so much for the discount code, I have downloaded the pattern and will add it to my queue. . . You are so lovely and cheerful makes me feel good watching you!
I laughed out loud when you blatantly “rigged” your draw for the next cast ons! And why not- it’s your knitting! Your chuckle was just what I needed today. I agree that the world is a very scary place for some people and those of us that are safe should stop and think of others. We can’t watch some news bulletins as the sadness is overwhelming. Your friendly happy podcast is a joy and your devotional words ,a light! Happy birthday to your Dad too x thank you Ruth.
Sweet Ruth! You are the gift of light in our troubled world. Thank you for your message. I could listed to your read scripture all day long. Thank you.
Thank you so much Ruth for those words from the Bible. I’m in the US and our country is a mess right now. It made me realize that I have been trying to tell God what I think should be done rather than letting my trust be totally in him. I needed to be reminded of who knows best.
So happy to see you, Ruth. As always I think I’m watching for the knitting, but then realize the lesson is just what needed. As I hear what’s going on in the world I just thank God for giving me little problems. ❤
Hi Ruth lovely to see you as always, I totally agree the t sometimes it’s better to switch of the news for self preservation. Otherwise your thoughts can send you crazy when you feel absolutely helpless. Knitting is sometimes my saviour. Have you knit the April cardigan,it’s a lovely pattern and I put a double knitted button band on mine, I’m on my fourth now 😂. Look forward to the Ruth shawl podcast. Happy knitting ❤
Thank you for another lovely episode, and a belated happy birthday to your dad ! Your socks really rock. That brioche shawl looks like you can live in it on colder days, so nice ! I love the way brioche feels, it is really like a gentle hug. I can relate to turning off the news now and again, and realizing what a luxury it is to do so, but all the things going on at the moment, all in one daily news episode, is just too much sometimes. When it comes to faith, I'm always in doubt, I guess. But I always very much enjoy your words at the end !
Peace to you that only Christ can give. The bleating sheep are so appropriate for your podcast about all the wooly-ness and the Good Shepherd. Not to mention it’s just charming 😍
Ruth thank you so much for your devotions at the end of your podcasts. Being a Christ follower I love how God brings us to others who are like minded. ❤
I was so happy when I saw the notification that you had a new podcast up! I had to wait till this evening to see it🙁. 😍😍Hubby is in bed and the house is quiet! Got some rows done on my Garden cardigan 🎉. Did some rows on my Salty Air Tee at the Dr office waiting for a hearing test. I have cast on the Colin socks by Twinset and Purl. Pulled some yarn out of stash but I’m not liking the yarn. I’ll knit a little more and see if it works. Found a beautiful alpaca, wool and nylon blend to cast on the Hilary shawl. Had to do some deep stash diving to found the right yarn, now I’m waiting on some more needle tips. I also can’t wait for the Ruth shawl to come out . Bought some pretty yarn for it, I’m hoping I have enough! I also purchased the Antrim shawl pattern. Your shawlette was beautiful! My Samuel is a gamer too! But he is a little bit older🤣 yup mine will be 45 at the end of the summer! And he still is an avid gamer! 🤣🤣They never grow out of it! 🥳🥳Happy Birthday to your sweet Dad! I always enjoy your podcasts, I even watch the earlier ones! 💗💗🧶🧶
Both shawls are beautiful!
boy, you did it to me again, yes, I bought the mist sock pattern.
A very happy Birthday to Ruth's Dad 🎉
Thanks Ruth I have downloaded the Antrim shawl too 😘

Ypu are such a blessing to so many people. Thank you for pushing through and sharing about the Lord. You are a courageous woman!
God Bless You Ruth. 🥰a wonderful witness and a lovely podcast as usual 😎
Hi Ruth, thank you for your encouragement. Faith is such a personal thing. Sometimes blocking out all the noise is the only way to think and see things clearly. Praying you will find your way x
Just found your site. Charming video and looking forward to watching.
Welcome aboard!

Just do it. It is a fun knit x
Just ordered the shawl! How nice of Brenda Brayfield to offer the discount.
Adding, Ruth, another lovely episode. Thank you so much :-)
❤❤❤
Yes Ruth I do have some of those problems with the news and what's going on in the world too. When we have too much that we can't do anything about (of course the first thing to do is pray!) it creates chaos in the mind and heart I think. I don't watch too much to keep it in check. God will give us peace! You are overloaded it sounds like.
“Only we could celebrate a ship that sank”. Love that. Take care Ruth.
Lovely to see you again Ruth and all your fo's and wips. I got the Antrim shawl. Well I live in Antrim and it was nice to see it knit up. I just might have some yarn for that😊. Love your message at the end. Happy Birthday to your wee Daddy. See you next time.❤

Hello Ruth. Glad you're feeling better.
Love hearing the sheep in the back ground its so appropriate for a "knitting" podcast.
How generous you are Ruth. God has your spot reserved ❤️🙏🏻
Great to see your smiling face. Downloaded the Antrim shawl.

I had to stop and go and buy, download and print off the Antrim shawl. It is just the right shawl for me. Happy Birthday to your Dad. xx
Ruth, I appreciate this devotional. I am in the midst of confusion at work, at home and even in my church. This does cause me to want to hide, but it also leaves me “homesick” for my true home.
Thank you.
Great reminder that God is in control. Nice to see you back
Thank you so much Ruth for those words from the Bible.
I definitely come for the little devotion at the end ❤
Peace to you that only Christ can give. The bleating sheep are so appropriate for your podcast about all the wooly-ness and the Good Shepherd. Not to mention it’s just charming 😍
I am so glad you’re feeling better and I’m so happy to see you back on.❤
Ruth thank you so much for your devotions at the end of your podcasts. Being a Christ follower I love how God brings us to others who are like minded. ❤
First time viewing, loved your video.
Welcome x
Still watching, but looked at the shawlette pattern and purchased it 😊
Love your podcasts. Happy birthday to your Dad❤
Your Antrim shawl is gorgeous! Just purchased the pattern with your discount code. Thank you! ❤
Ruth, thank you for the visit with a friend and your words. A positive moment in sad times. Take care until the next one.
