So there was this girl in my friend group that I had caught feelings for, and we started talking more, and we usually hung out with the other people in our group but for the first time, we were gonna hang out, just the two of us. A week before we were going to hang out, my friends and I had saw on social media that she started to hang out with the "vape kids" and everyone in my friend group sorta drifted away, including me. It really pains me when I think what could have been :/
POV: It’s a summer’s night, you’re with the person whom you’ve loved since the day you met (whether it be at the start of a friendship, helping you out, or just simply bumping into each other and the rest is history, etc). You guys are driving in a nice car going to a summer party. It’s fun, the person you love is dancing, having the time of their lives. You guys are both having drinks, but not to the point where you guys are drunk cause you still gotta drive home. You’re thinking to yourself, “I can do this... tonight, they will be mine.” You’ve been thinking about this for weeks before the party, plotting how it goes down. Before you can do anymore thinking and plotting, you look up to find them talking to someone. That someone is obviously flirting with them, they’re awkwardly laughing, not interested in the person hitting on them. You’re jealous, thinking you can’t just let the love of your life be swept away so easily. You start to get angry from all of the over thinking, walking over you grab the one you love by the wrist and pull them away from all the dancing to the large backyard. I love you god dammit... why can’t you see that I don’t want someone else to just come swoop on in and take you away from me... This reminded me of yesterday which is probably one of the best days ever. Me and my friends walked all over our small city (more like neighborhood), bought slushes, talked till 2am at a park and ran through the baseball field that had the sprinklers on. We were soaked by the end but also so happy. We didn't use our phones at all, which made it much more memorable. It'll never forget that day. 🥺

(ive had a crush on them for a year) they were just sort of there but i still loved my other partners. before i went into my previous relationship (late feb-late march) i confessed on valentines day, and got a 'maybe later' response that i took as a rejection, it didnt change our relationship though. we've been very close and we;ve only gotten closer as time has progressed, and on april 1st, 2021 they confessed to me and we began dating. for once im not worried or second guessing if i really love them or if im just bored! i love them so much, theyve been there for me for so long and im just so happy that we met eachother and are now dating edit, 12/23/21 (tw sh mention) oh boy ok so ummm we broke up like 4 months ago if you cn really even call it a breakup he literally just blocked me and didnt let me respond to his message lol um he was really manipulative and emotionally abusive and guilt trippy, he defended his friend who told me to die and made me sh so um. yeah

"just wait," he says. about 15 minutes later, he drives down a rocky driveway and you see a beautiful, glistening lake. the trees are a fiery orange color and you can hear birds chirping and nature stirring. he opens his trunk and pulls out a picnic blanket and your favorite food. you eat lunch on the bank and talk for hours about everything imaginable. you go into detail about your life and how sometimes it just hurts to live. your eyes start to tear up. he stares deep into your honey brown eyes and gently grabs your chin. he tells you that he cant live without you. after he says this, your lips meet. this caught you by surprise, but you didnt fight back. he pulls away. your cheeks get red and you are embarrassed. your eyes meet again and he sits and admires your natural beauty. "what?" you say. "i love you, y/n."

So there was this girl in my friend group that I had caught feelings for, and we started talking more, and we usually hung out with the other people in our group but for the first time, we were gonna hang out, just the two of us. A week before we were going to hang out, my friends and I had saw on social media that she started to hang out with the "vape kids" and everyone in my friend group sorta drifted away, including me. It really pains me when I think what could have been :/
POV: It’s a summer’s night, you’re with the person whom you’ve loved since the day you met (whether it be at the start of a friendship, helping you out, or just simply bumping into each other and the rest is history, etc). You guys are driving in a nice car going to a summer party. It’s fun, the person you love is dancing, having the time of their lives. You guys are both having drinks, but not to the point where you guys are drunk cause you still gotta drive home. You’re thinking to yourself, “I can do this... tonight, they will be mine.” You’ve been thinking about this for weeks before the party, plotting how it goes down. Before you can do anymore thinking and plotting, you look up to find them talking to someone. That someone is obviously flirting with them, they’re awkwardly laughing, not interested in the person hitting on them. You’re jealous, thinking you can’t just let the love of your life be swept away so easily. You start to get angry from all of the over thinking, walking over you grab the one you love by the wrist and pull them away from all the dancing to the large backyard. You can still hear music from the inside of the house very clearly and someone is setting off illegal fireworks. They’re mad at you cause you pulled them away so suddenly cause they didn’t want to be rude. You guys both start arguing with each other. (Que music at 2:57 and keep reading from there) The one you love finally says, “ I don’t get why you’re acting like this now, I didn’t want to be rude, I was going to reject them regardless.”
You get even more upset, “but you shouldn’t be letting some random stranger hit on you like that! I was only looking out for you. Why can’t you see that?” you say.
“I don’t need you to look out for me, I can’t hold up on my own, y/n!”
“I know! But why can’t you see!”

This reminded me of yesterday which is probably one of the best days ever. Me and my friends walked all over our small city (more like neighborhood), bought slushes, talked till 2am at a park and ran through the baseball field that had the sprinklers on. we ended up breaking up, and i entered two other relationships (one in december, ending in january - the other starting in late feb, ending late march) i broke up with them because i needed to get my shit together and process everything going on and fix how warped my view on love was. they understood and we left on good terms. i fixed my warped view on love and focused on myself and processing what it was like to be single again, refreshing my memories on it and such.
my view on relationships and love was warped by the idea of 'if youre not in a relationship, youre failing in some way' which was something my parents pushed heavily and so did those around me, i could never tell if i really loved someone or was just scared or bored and it was a horrible thing to experience and i realized i would only hurt people and myself if i continued like that
concerning my 'last crush' - aka the one that was in a relationship, they broke up in december of 2020 and my feelings for them had actually never really gone away? (ive had a crush on them for a year) they were just sort of there but i still loved my other partners. before i went into my previous relationship (late feb-late march) i confessed on valentines day, and got a 'maybe later' response that i took as a rejection, it didnt change our relationship though. we've been very close and we;ve only gotten closer as time has progressed, and on april 1st, 2021 they confessed to me and we began dating. for once im not worried or second guessing if i really love them or if im just bored! i love them so much, theyve been there for me for so long and im just so happy that we met eachother and are now dating
