Why are balance patches always so disappointing overall when we have almost 300 characters and we only get 6 a year?
Spez is going to be broken, mark my words. That evasion buff allows me to build him with 16k HP/ 180 speed/4.2k att/ 342critdmg/ 100 crit. On pen set and shepherd as the artifact. This allows Spez to do 19.5K without stun. With attack buff that goes up to 29K without stun MLDB may be best in slot tho. You won’t even want to attack him so he doesn’t get a free attack buff
@@shadeteen4688 did a quick dmg cal, 4k atk, atk buff, 300 Cdmg, Pen set. On 2000 DEF, escorted, and adamant shielded unit it does 7.8k raw. No mitigation will be 13k. On 1600 DEF, same conditions, 11k. No mitigation is 15.7k On 1200 DEF, same conditions 13.6k. No mitigation is 19.4k
@@haiguys0000 the stats I have above are against a 1000 defense. If you use those same stats against a 2000 defense ML Yufine. It’s 13k without attack buff or stun. And it’s 19.5K with att buff no stun. Still pretty good numbers if you ask me and she has no way of killing him quickly

i never played spez but i played hwayoung since she was out and... what the fuck is this? why are they taking away her built-in additional attack? yes, you could build effect resistance or pair her with cleansers (which is what most people do anyways) but she'd be better off having that attack% and barrier built into her kit
Judge Kise is even more dead no? Before you don't need to soulburn for strip and reset. Now she NEED to soulburn, since the strip is on s2, then extra turn, bunny cleanse and bunny immunity, her s3 cant strip mean no reset. Even more unit being killed by bunny
Hwa changes feel like they're shifting her power so they can give her EEs that basically give her back her old kit pieces. Fully expecting them to return her 15% push on S1, that way she cycles S3 quickly again and maintains high tempo
the only two things that confuse me about hwayoung's buff is taking away the 30% attack and decreasing damage on her ult. if she kept her 30% attack, i think it'd be a bit better? but you're right that she should be able to take out soul weavers (that don't scale on attack) and defense scalers (lermia and ayufine) so that's good at least... hopefully. but why take the 30% attack away, that makes no sense
The only thing hwayoung really REALLY needed was a s1 damage buff in the current state so she isnt completely useless once she uses her s3... rn my 247spd 1.6k def hwayoung can still 1 shot arowells if they have 19k hp - 28k hp but she does nothing till s3 comes back on. Now she doesnt have Barrier she gonna die faster cos she has no hp and even tho she scales well with def, they removed the 400hp shield every turn. Also spez got straight up nerf. 50% evasion does fk all cos he still isnt able to get stuns off reliably and without stuns, s3 does no damage.
@@MikoHecate no you're right about the barrier too! even in her current state, with the HP condition, hwayoung could at least last a bit because her barrier is so tanky. her cool down is back to 3 turns and, if she's fast enough, she may be able to cycle her barrier faster. but still, it makes me a bit worried... (you do build hwayoung with more bulk anyway but she can't really be a tank) also what sets/substats does your hwayoung have? i feel like you don't have to change too much with the buff but removing the 30% attack might change some things a lot....

But now you can just get any of your maxed helm with high atk% rolls. 1 Thing I will agree on is that they could have kept permanent 40% atk, instead of conditional ATK buff.
Hhhm when I though about spiritual celine, it's actually better, they moved life steal to her s1 proc, which can activate even when she doesn't have possession, which means she can heal even when she has no possession and on speed set, that's pretty good, as long as the heal is comparable to her old one.
Judge Kise might go giga-speed and high eff-hit now, then is it needed to made her S1 pen-def tho ? About Seline , she is 100% nimble sword in possed state anyway. So it doesn't matter where the heal was placed .

They increased the quantity of units being balanced, but massively decreased the quality. Spez and AuxLots need recalls because that's straight up hot garbage.
I think they only increased the quantity to make up for the last one which was pathetically low (probably due to the awaken update thing being cancelled).
Yesterday I pulled a Sez out of my daily covenant summon and fed it into Spez since I knew he was on the patch list… So glad I wasted that imprint over Sez who is actually useful I just haven’t successfully built him yet :(

Built in evasion is better than built in counter attack. He can be a bruiser as his hp is 6k hp, pretty high for a thief class. Use lifesteal and ervalen artifact and he is a pseudo riolet.
Damn they gave byblis who was pretty useable pre buff an emergency buff, while they pretty much ignored Blidica who everyone agrees was extremely underwhelming in what she does. The priorities of these devs are unreal.
They knew ppl would pull for blidica just because of her looks, meanwhile byblis being meh would make ppl not even try to pull her waiting for blidica.
I don't know man. Everyone says they hate the meta for every meta. I've been E7 clean for about 3-4 months now. And this isn't going to motivate me to come back. Still waiting on more fundamental changes to RTA like introducing a 3rd pre-ban for higher players(champ and above) or a weekly ban system, or a change to Guild War. Nothing's changed fundamentally. It's the usual buff/change a unit every 2 months.
Hwayoung changes could be really good. We need to see if her new S3 will kill in a similar way that Straze does. Remember speed Straze tend to sit around 3.8-4.2k attack and have to build crit chance/damage. If Hwa can feasibly one shot in a similar way while being tanky (from not needing crit stats) she could prove very useful if not more than Straze in some ways.... potentially...
Kise is the better part of the patch, but I'm worried she'll become another "release ML Elena", uncomfortably sitting between a damage dealer and a debuffer. They even gave her Elena's original debuff! Also : > Hwa needs not to have debuffs to have attack buff and then use S3 > S3 cleanses on use, but then no attack buff > What.
Hwa is dumb, after nerf people run her used to 2nd dps with Benimaru's art(free immunity) or pusher with buff attack , but now they remove the attack, reduce s3, and hardly to use S3 without other cleanser cause all opener has debuff now. Its mean s3 just dead ass no damage
Elena buff is small but huge imo, the fact that she doesn't need d.bag means she can use magaharas tome, which means she pushs by 50% on her passive. aLots "buff" is a nerf for my arunka + double lots comp. jKise is better as an opener, but loses the atk% imprint as an cleaver... we gotta wait for tests imo. Hwa we gotta wait for the multipliers. Seline gonna be slightly better against yufine but not gonna change much, tbh i was hoping for extinction on her nimble atk. Spez still not gonna see much play at all, i would rather see them doubling down on counter, keep the built in elbris, give him evasion, use counter set with evasion+counter artifact, make the stun on s1 ignore ER on counter or "not on your turn", poof you have a really fun usable unit. overhaul this patch is super disappointing the hero selection was really good but the buffs did not reach the hype.
Most of the time Elena doesn't need the supplementary DBag healing anyway, especially when the opening AoE is a weaksauce debuffing attempt. DBag is moreso in Ray's department bc his base healing sucks lol, and he doesn't have any built-in mitigation like Elena.
Nah I think they actually just don't know what they're doing at all. SG has a made a massive amount of money from the China server going up this year and all the limiteds they've been milking us with, they're not hurting for cash. There's really no excuse for it to be this bad.
The same person in the Qol team that moved the the X in auto repeat from right to left made this balance patch. This is dogsht and had to suffer a delay for this.

When I saw Momo, Elena, and Achates on the patch I was praying we would finally see cleansers for non attack debuffs. So tired of AOL, Lua, and DDR… but nope. Instead we get more effectiveness on stuff like A Lots and Juggs. Why is SG so obsessed with effectiveness?

it was both. numbers wise, Uberius is 30% attack ignoring 70% DEF (All the following also ignore 70% DEF). Current Hwa is 25% attack on her S1's extra damage. Before her nerf, this was 50%. yeah, her own extra damage was almost double of Uberius. So Uberius + old s1 was a whopping 80% of her own ATK, which used to be boosted by 50% as is. She was doing as much damage as Arunka if she was lucky enough to proc her S1 extra attack and land one bleed (and assume it won't get cleansed),. All with no RNG. nor need to hit the target.
@blazerush2012 hwayoungs s1 damage was pitiful without uberious, you werent killing anything with her s1 without tooth proc, hell even her s3 wasn't all that strong without uberious. If you played during that time and you didn't have uberious or it wasn't maxed, your hwayoung want all that scary. I didn't have maxed uberious and my hwayoung would fail to kill some tanks when it it didn't proc, and my hwaoung had 6.7k attack That's what made hwayoung a menses, uberious tooth and ridiculously high attack you could build her with.
You know, this really shows that the only reason why there was delay is because they had nothing prepared for balance patch. So they just threw some shit on paper and this is the result.
Bruh judge Kise is now dead by bunny. Before you don't need to soulburn for strip and reset, but now you need it, extra turn mean bunny remove all those s2 debuff and give immunity prevent judge Kise s3 reset. Bunny literally too op now
Im not gonna join in on the hysteria to believe its the worst patch yet...since there are genuine positives. Jkise looks better albeit now completely book reliant, elena can now run something other than dbag (basically she can use magharas pretty safely), hwayoung has the potential to be good (not guaranteed) and sacred branch is a much better arti. Barring the maken patch they really havent been making terrific patches since the last half of 2023 regardless. Lionia being the only winner on the patch b4 maken and ddr in the patch after. I dont think this patch really stands out as being worse or better than those tbh.

Kise is the better part of the patch, but I'm worried she'll become another "release ML Elena", uncomfortably sitting between a damage dealer and a debuffer. They even gave her Elena's original debuff!

Hwa is dumb, after nerf people run her used to 2nd dps with Benimaru's art(free immunity) or pusher with buff attack , but now they remove the attack, reduce s3, and hardly to use S3 without other cleanser cause all opener has debuff now. Its mean s3 just dead ass no damage

Elena dispelling 1 debuff instead of 2 was very annoying. She is quite great now. Good vs a lot now
Elena buff is small but huge imo, the fact that she doesn't need d.bag means she can use magaharas tome, which means she pushs by 50% on her passive.
aLots "buff" is a nerf for my arunka + double lots comp.
jKise is better as an opener, but loses the atk% imprint as an cleaver... we gotta wait for tests imo.
Hwa we gotta wait for the multipliers.
Seline gonna be slightly better against yufine but not gonna change much, tbh i was hoping for extinction on her nimble atk.
Spez still not gonna see much play at all, i would rather see them doubling down on counter, keep the built in elbris, give him evasion, use counter set with evasion+counter artifact, make the stun on s1 ignore ER on counter or "not on your turn", poof you have a really fun usable unit.
overhaul this patch is super disappointing the hero selection was really good but the buffs did not reach the hype.
Juggs "opener" buff is just nullified by the same unit they buffed which is Elena which is kinda funny.
Extension on nimble is a INSANE thought to even have 😂
Most of the time Elena doesn't need the supplementary DBag healing anyway, especially when the opening AoE is a weaksauce debuffing attempt.
DBag is moreso in Ray's department bc his base healing sucks lol, and he doesn't have any built-in mitigation like Elena.
So they didn't get the scam money bait from the ascension/imprint (whichever they planning) thing and just soft bailed on the game ???
Nah I think they actually just don't know what they're doing at all. SG has a made a massive amount of money from the China server going up this year and all the limiteds they've been milking us with, they're not hurting for cash. There's really no excuse for it to be this bad.
The same person in the Qol team that moved the the X in auto repeat from right to left made this balance patch.

Honestly patch is meh for RTA but i look forward to aux lots judge kiseing normal arena again!!!! I am happy we get a balance patch for content other than RTA for once.

When I saw Momo, Elena, and Achates on the patch I was praying we would finally see cleansers for non attack debuffs. So tired of AOL, Lua, and DDR… but nope. Instead we get more effectiveness on stuff like A Lots and Juggs. Why is SG so obsessed with effectiveness?
this confirms my suspicion, Devs don't play their own game. judgev kise would be better is the extra turn was inbuilt he s2 and soul burn would ignore eff res. its unfortunate that two regular covenant characters can outperform an ml5. Nakwol is better in every way even after buff.

In fact its worst for people that build eff judge kise, the strip now on s2, meaning she NEED to soulburn to reset, and guess what happen? Extra turn, bunny do bunny thing, immunity up again and cleanse everything, her entire career is over

The reason old hwayoung killed everything with s1 was not because of her s1 skill damage it was uberious tooth lool
it was both. numbers wise, Uberius is 30% attack ignoring 70% DEF (All the following also ignore 70% DEF). Current Hwa is 25% attack on her S1's extra damage. Before her nerf, this was 50%. yeah, her own extra damage was almost double of Uberius. So Uberius + old s1 was a whopping 80% of her own ATK, which used to be boosted by 50% as is.
She was doing as much damage as Arunka if she was lucky enough to proc her S1 extra attack and land one bleed (and assume it won't get cleansed),. All with no RNG. nor need to hit the target.
@blazerush2012 hwayoungs s1 damage was pitiful without uberious, you werent killing anything with her s1 without tooth proc, hell even her s3 wasn't all that strong without uberious. If you played during that time and you didn't have uberious or it wasn't maxed, your hwayoung want all that scary. I didn't have maxed uberious and my hwayoung would fail to kill some tanks when it it didn't proc, and my hwaoung had 6.7k attack
That's what made hwayoung a menses, uberious tooth and ridiculously high attack you could build her with.
You know, this really shows that the only reason why there was delay is because they had nothing prepared for balance patch. So they just threw some shit on paper and this is the result.

Bruh judge Kise is now dead by bunny. Before you don't need to soulburn for strip and reset, but now you need it, extra turn mean bunny remove all those s2 debuff and give immunity prevent judge Kise s3 reset. Bunny literally too op now

Im not gonna join in on the hysteria to believe its the worst patch yet...since there are genuine positives. Jkise looks better albeit now completely book reliant, elena can now run something other than dbag (basically she can use magharas pretty safely), hwayoung has the potential to be good (not guaranteed) and sacred branch is a much better arti. Barring the maken patch they really havent been making terrific patches since the last half of 2023 regardless. Lionia being the only winner on the patch b4 maken and ddr in the patch after. I dont think this patch really stands out as being worse or better than those tbh.

When they'd selected all of the heroes on the mystic summon, they prolly thiking about cash grab. They prolly didnt add Bellian cuz she's gunna have skin and she's still decent,. So peeps will still hava reason to pull for her.
