I want to thank you for cutting this off at 1985 so I didn't have to relive North Carolina St. beating Houston in the championship game and breaking my young kid heart all over again.
I have problems with this. It's not Frankie's fault but until 6:06, I couldn't tell who was playing or what the score was. It was due to poor video quality and the fact that constant score and clock display on screen didn't exist until very late in the twentieth century (the 6:06 clip is from 1999). This one is Frankie's fault. He needs to learn what a buzzer beater is or retitle his video. A buzzer beater means the horn sounds leaving no time on the clock between the time the player releases the ball and the ball going through the basket. In most of these, there is still time remaining after the basket is scored. Even if it's just a tenth of a second (0.1) left, it's still not a buzzer beater.
1. Some of the quality is just garbage and hopefully the NCAA can release some high quality videos on their TH-cam channel. 2. The list I used was complied from Sports Reference. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/friv/ncaa-buzzer-beaters.html On that page is a link to a blog that explains why they included shots with some time left.
It’s hard to win a national championship. They remind me of Duke’s final four runs before ‘91 - close, but not quite there. They should reach the top sooner rather than later, though.
I feel bad for you. 1st Kansas V Villanova depended on all of our families brackets and they lost, which means I lost. And just this night UNC misses like 7 game winners in the last minute. I’m sorry for you
@@FrankieG if you want to get technical, a lot of those shots weren't exactly buzzer-beaters. Some teams were able to call timeout after the shots went in.
I used this page to make this video and on it is a link about why they labeled all of these as buzzer beaters. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/friv/ncaa-buzzer-beaters.html
Solid video and not to nitpick but some of these there was well over a second left when winning shot went in and a couple had 3 or more seconds left so not true buzzer beaters.
This makes me wonder how many of those shots would have been disallowed by today's clocks, which now measure 1/10 of a second, and/or the frame-by-frame replays.
Hold on. My brain paused. I’m really showing how stupid I am. So at 12:21, even though he jumped from the 3 point line he released the ball from inside the 3 point line. So regardless I guess it still counts as a 3 and not 2?
Rules were different too. The NBA stops the clock on every score in the last 2 minutes. College didn’t do that until the mid 90s. You had to call a timeout to stop the clock after a last-second shot.
That suggs shot is historic, the villanova shot in 2016 in too.
Both fantastic shots
Villanova is my favorite
Suggs shit is historic, Novas Championship heart snatcher is Timeless

Re-watching this never gets old. I'm a fan of all sports, but nothing quite like a March Madness buzzer-beater! 5:07 Lorenzen Wright #55 RIP
Completely agree
6:31 the new coach of Seton Hall after a cinderella elite 8 run with a 15 seeded team.
Shaheen Holloway
that villanova buzzer beater still gives me chills
Will always love Tyus Edney’s buzzer beater Vs. Missouri! Great tournament in 95’
Michigan one still gives me goosebumps
Not really…Michigan State one was better

Happy to help
You definitely have one of the best sports channels on YT
Thank you
Northern Iowa half court shot will always be my fav
Amazing moment
2016 is the greatest las second of all time, great work mang.
Thanks
These buzzer beaters
the best ones I’ve seen so far
2:51 that celebration has to be my favorite due to the cheerleaders and mascot getting into it
Hell yes I loved that one too
The Jenkins 3 for the championship in 2016 is the greatest shot in college basketball history, if not basketball history as a whole
No
Ngl, I think Marcus Paige’s shot (the one before) was better
I respectfully disagree. That was a fantastic moment, but I doesn’t get better than Christian Laetner against Kentucky in 1992(I think)
U d riding now
Coach k looks so young OMG
He's been around for a long time!
7:11 My favorite one

Shut up bro nobody cares. U just wasted 10 minutes of your time to state the obvious. It was a good video so stop being a poo c and watch it.
8:27 Origin of Kevin Harlan’s “Is this the dagger?”
One of my all time favorites...3:42
6:07 23 years already
Crazy how time files. Iconic buzzer beater by Hamilton
It's somewhat stunning...all of those GREAT teams for Gonzaga in recent years, and not a single NC to show for it.
Underachievers

Hey duneedon didn’t expect to see you here go blue
Imagine there were fans at the Suggs game winner
2016 has 6 clips in this video. best tournament of all time
I was actually so sad when suggs hit that shot, I wanted ucla to go all the way
I feel bad for you. 1st Kansas V Villanova depended on all of our families brackets and they lost, which means I lost. And just this night UNC misses like 7 game winners in the last minute. I’m sorry for you
This should have more views wtf?
My channel is weird
Surprised no buzzer beaters in the 2022 tournament yet
yea but one thing is that all the games have mostly gone down to the wire.
Hope we get something next weekend.
How about that throw at 2:20?!
He heaved it 50 ft past the goal!
Doing the lord’s work
Thank you
i know it didn't win the game but the Mario Chalmers Buzzer Beater to Tie the Game vs Memphis in the final needs to be in here
If I included shots that tied the game, It would be there.
No doubt. That gave KU a chance to win the national title in OT
@@FrankieG reword the title then😂
@@FrankieG if you want to get technical, a lot of those shots weren't exactly buzzer-beaters. Some teams were able to call timeout after the shots went in.
@@SarahDigsHockey When I update this, I'll just call in game winners
12:03 Go Cats!
What about the Virginia buzzer beater against Purdue in 2019?
That tied the game. These are shots that won the game
I will always remember 11:45. "annnd IT'S GOOD! IT'S GOOD! WISCONSIN, HAS WON IT!"
good one Frankie keep it up
If this were 1983, poor houston
Oh Yes
God loves you, believe in him and you will be saved 🤩
7:13 Maryland is the higher seed but was wearing their road jerseys…weird
I remember that. They lost some of their white jerseys in the hotel thats why they had their away jerseys on.
Good Vid but it's not a Buzzer Beaters. For instance, you should rename the title the March Madness Game Winners instead of Buzzer Beaters
I used this page to make this video and on it is a link about why they labeled all of these as buzzer beaters. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/friv/ncaa-buzzer-beaters.html
12:33 i don't wanna talk about this one :(
When suggs hit the shot my entire family exploded shame they lost to baylor tho
Solid video and not to nitpick but some of these there was well over a second left when winning shot went in and a couple had 3 or more seconds left so not true buzzer beaters.
Fair point. I was using the list provided by sports-reference.com. Link to list in the description
That call on the ucla vs missouri was the worst. Announcer had no enthusiasm as if he wanted missouri to win.
Kevin Harlan is a national treasure 9:20
No Aaron Harrison vs Michigan 2014? Vs Wisconsin 2014?
I used this source www.sports-reference.com/cbb/friv/ncaa-buzzer-beaters.html
This makes me wonder how many of those shots would have been disallowed by today's clocks, which now measure 1/10 of a second, and/or the frame-by-frame replays.
8:27 "is this the dagger" doesnt sound right..
Kevin Harlen using it 12 years before Kawhi
Shoulda showed all the Loyola buzzer beaters
I only showed Loyola shots with less than 2 seconds left. There was only one that fit the requirement
Giờ ms biết. Từ trc đến giờ chỉ suy nghĩ đến cái lý do thứ 2 :))))
Sucked that there were non this year
Still a good tournament
You should name this game winners instead
I probably should have
It's not a "buzzer beater" if there is time left on the clock after the shot
I will change the title of this video when I update it
looks like rick fox traveled.

Yep

Some nice game winners, but they are not all buzzer beaters
That's fair. This is what I used as a reference www.sports-reference.com/cbb/friv/ncaa-buzzer-beaters.html
Nitpick
Some of these plays aren’t even buzzer beaters just it should be called clutch shots
That's a better title for next time.
Well you haven’t seen the championship yet
I will delete this video and upload a updated version if the championship has a buzzer beater( I hope there is)

you missed alex reese buzzer beater
That didn't win the game
