It's a much better way than using pre-mades, but I do worry these types of coloring book are creating very samey coloring books. They use very similar elements. However, having said that it shows how important it is to personalise them yourself like you did with text.

Over 40,000 coloring books have been published on amazon in the last 30 days...that's terrifying, definitely need to run ads to get your coloring book seen.

That’s definitely a terrifying number! I’m trying to create my first colouring book and I’m finding it really daunting. Just holding onto the hope that if I take the time to care about what I’m producing, market and advertise, then I’ll stand a chance
I designed a book cover using Canva and its free elements, but Amazon keeps rejecting it, saying, "Remove all template text and guides from your cover file." I'm confused because I've seen others use Canva for their book covers. I'm new to Amazon KDP and would appreciate some guidance. Can I not use Canva's free elements at all
Sounds like you have forgotten to remove a template or text from your Canva design. I only use Canva to design my books. Don't forget Canva is a tool, the images and elements have a licence so check each one before using. But if you're unsure, you can import your own images into Canva. Best of luck.
KDP wants me to upload 75 pages minimum... :(
Paperback in black and white is a 24 page minimum. Maybe you have selected colour or hardback?
@@TheHomeBoss yeah. Itvwas colour, plain, matte. If it is colour premium it allows for 24pages.

@@Histogramas You don't choose colour for a colouring book, just choose white paper.
@TheHomeBoss, nope.. i use colour in some ofnthe pages because my colouring books tell a story and, sometimes, there are parts of them that are meant to guide the colouring.
I am not creatingbsimple colouring books, but ones for kids some pages with some rules, some free thinking pages, some games.. and stories.
By the way.. if only the cover has color, don't you need to create a coloured book?
@@Histogramas When we choose the paper type, it's always for the interior of the book, not the cover. The cover is separate and is always 'in colour', we don't get a choice of paper for that. If you have only one item in colour in the interior, even if the rest is black and white, you have to choose the colour option. This can be expensive for colouring books so you might price yourself out of the market.
If you are not using AI tools like the one we made you are overworking...
I've seen too many badly created colouring books with AI... there are different ways to create colouring books, this is just one example. It's not about saving time, it's about creating good quality books.
I’m in the process of making a colouring book with the help of AI. I’ve got an idea of what I want my images to look like but whilst I absolutely cannot draw, I’ll be using what editing experience I have to improve upon what AI is providing me. I’d love to practice hand drawing on ProCreate but I don’t have the investment for an iPad just yet, though I’d happily reinvest money made from an AI book into being able to make hand drawn content.
AI is definitely a powerful aid but it’s nowhere near perfect yet as a service
