Expectations of others, especially unspoken expectations, can cause relationships to go down. It is critical we manage our expectations of others as that is what we have control over. We don't have control over what goes on around us but we do have choices on how we want to deal with them. Also, having high self esteem, self-compassion and healthy boundaries is critical in any relationship. When things aren't going well, you can rely on yourself to pick yourself back up.
