Sometimes parents need their kids to help bring them back to reality, especially when it comes to issues between the parents. Sometimes even parents need to be told off by their kids, when they forget themselves when it comes to properly behaving and setting good examples to follow.

I should KNOW people like the wife who buffets her husband incessantly;;my mother at one time in our lives, was an emotional barracuda to my brother. And it used to KILL me; the cruel, even CRAZY things a professed child of God would SAY! And if I displayed my agony, right on me like a cat would she be, claws and all. God doesn't want us to judge, but he couldn't have been oblivious to my mother's venomous, cold attitude to my brother, and her so straitjacketed in herself that she was the oblivious one to MY pain. I didn't understand, she would say to me? I believe I understood ENOUGH.

Idea for story with similar elements from both stories:
The story is set in medieval times where a king has two daughters, yet he can't decide who will be his successor. One day, he goes on a hunting trip but mysteriously vanishes. His elder daughter, believing it is her right to take the throne being firstborn, seizes power. Being arrogant, proud, and haughty, she rules as a tyrant, taxing the civilians heavily, imprisoning those who criticize her, demanding that everyone she meets bows before her, and mistreating the castle servants, all to her sister's disgust.
One day, the elder princess makes a proclamation as she is looking for a husband. Many suitors of noble birth and from other kingdoms come to win her hand, but the princess, believing herself to be 'perfect' has very high standards, and rejects them all. One day, a prince from another kingdom, accompanied by a hooded beggar who does not show his face arrives in the kingdom. He learns of the proclamation, seeks an audience with the princess, and declares that he will prove his worth to her by doing something none of the others would do: he will live among the poor and go on a hunger strike for thirty days. The princess, impressed by his bravery, accepts his terms.
As the days pass, the prince and his companion live on the streets among the poor. While other people try to give him money, food, and water, he refuses his offers, insisting that they go instead to the other poor folks living on the streets, especially his companion. The prince also witnesses the princess looking down upon him from the balcony every day without a word. On some days, she makes public appearances and he witnesses people crying out to her for help and to improve their lives, but she remains silent. The younger princess takes pity on him and also tries to bring him food and water, but he refuses and directs her to give it to the poor, including his companion. She and the prince become friends as the days pass. The younger princess directs her servants to bring food and water to the poor, thirsty, and hungry, but when her elder sister discovers what is happening, she imprisons the servants, threatening execution on any who defy her.
On the last day, the prince is brought to the throne room where a crowd has gathered. The younger princess allows his beggar companion to join the crowd. The elder princess praises the prince for his accomplishment and says that he is fit to be her husband and rule alongside with her. But the prince says that there will be no wedding after all because he has decided he doesn't want to marry her. The princess is surprised by his change of mind, but the prince says that when he first arrived, he had no idea of who the princess was. He says that she claims to be perfect but that is not true. Taking this as a personal insult, the princess orders him to choose his next words carefully, because they could be his last. The prince says that she has just proved the point he was about to make. He tells her that while he was living on the streets among the poor, he saw how she would look down from her window at him, but do nothing to end his suffering as the days passed. She ignored the pleas of her people who called to her for help. While she has the power to improve the lives of her people, she chooses not to. Her flaw is that there is no compassion, kindness, or mercy in her heart. Without those traits, she is not a human being, and she does not deserve to sit on the throne. The princess angrily says that no one has ever spoken to her that way before, to which the prince says that maybe it's time someone did.
The princess becomes enraged and orders her guards to arrest and execute him immediately. But to her surprise and anger, they refuse. When she demands that they obey, reminding them of their oath to the crown, the guards tell her that they also swore an oath to the people and that she is not queen. The prince also speaks up and says that if he wants to marry anyone, it is her younger sister, as she befriended him and tried to help him, someone who was kind to him and to others. The beggar also speaks up, saying she would make a better queen than her elder sister. The outraged elder princess calls him a filthy beggar who dared to insult her with his presence and says he will join the prince on the chopping block. The beggar tells her how disappointed he is in her and she demands to know who he thinks he is.
The beggar removes his hood, revealing to her shock, the citizens' surprise, and her sister's joy that he is the missing king. He explains that after he fell from his horse and was swept away down the river, he was found by the young man who lived in the forest with his family, where his father was a simple woodsman. The princess is shocked by the revelation that the 'prince' all along was nothing more than a common peasant. Feeling humiliated for nearly marrying a commoner, she angrily says he will pay for the deception with his life. But her father berates her, saying that it doesn't matter where a person comes from, nobility comes from the heart, and that he, his family, her sister, and her people have shown more nobility than she ever had. He also says that the deception was his own idea and that it was all an elaborate test to determine which of his daughters would succeed him. He now knows which of his daughters deserves to be his heir. His younger daughter and the woodsman are to be married and he will inherit the throne and rule alongside her. The elder princess is stripped of her title and banished from the castle as punishment for her crimes.
The narrator ends the story by saying that the couple ruled wisely and justly after they inherited the throne while the arrogant former princess was punished for her cruelty by being forced to live like a peasant, hated by everyone. The moral of this story is that there are no perfect people, they exist only in fairy tales.

Expectations of others, especially unspoken expectations, can cause relationships to go down. It is critical we manage our expectations of others as that is what we have control over. We don't have control over what goes on around us but we do have choices on how we want to deal with them. Also, having high self esteem, self-compassion and healthy boundaries is critical in any relationship. When things aren't going well, you can rely on yourself to pick yourself back up. As a side note, I am a male but have interest in gardening, cleaning, and cuddling with my stuffed animal friends, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I would say get divorce right away and sleep with the neighbor if you want. but she has kids meaning you are a mom first and a woman after. My advice, adjust to your reality once the kids are grown up adults you could decide if stay or leave. Personally, I would keep him. When you have kids you are a team. A have friend who makes $70k but his wife earns $150K as corporate attorney. Since they have 2 kids, he works part time and plays the homemaker. They do the best for the team.

OK, life is not easy. However, never leave kids behind. They do not deserve it. Treat them with atmost love you dare. And try, at least try to respect the one you have made chidren with., They deserve it too. Sattle up, ,lock and load. Ivan

If I were the dad I would've just allowed her to leave, she went way too far? Go find a macho man who might control her too? The second story, she should've said something, she could've possibly been raped? In real life that's dangerous and does happen?
