About Srushti, I guess most Indian viewers are more influenced by the delivery of lines than rhyme schemes and other writing-related stuff. (Including some of the biggest names in IHH, if not DHH) Or to say, the expression of emotions is more acknowledged than the complexities of wordsmiths, by the mass. Srushti's rhyming is bang average, like Karma's love songs or a certain artist's every song. A certain fanbase declares their representative winner of every diss battle, just because he shows more aggression and anger (or screams louder) than the opposition... Indian audience is mostly like that, they get influenced by the vibe more than the substance. I am not saying that's wrong...an artist has 2 options...master the art and serve the art, or master the audience and serve your crowd. Both are right in their own ways...just the second is more lucrative, as it gives fame and money. The first brings legacy, but only if that service gets recognised and acknowledged. Else how many better artists in the world never even got discovered by the masses or maybe a smaller group. Badshah is a commercial artist so he doesn't point such things out to Srushti, if it was $ her scheming part would have been raised at some point if not in the first 2 steps only (not that she would have been eliminated, but that weakness of her would have come in light ). Also, that's why People feel that Raftaar is undoubtedly the best possible judge for Hustle. He knows the balance between the two. (Seems like he has forgotten the non-commercial part now 🤣 that's a different point of discussion). Other than EPR no one in the judging panel even touches on the lyrical technicalities point.
Check Agsy "Tees Maar Khan", it had some dope references if my memory is correct... My fav line roughly (as the original lyrics was a mix of hindi and english)was this: "My circle, square vitruvian(meaning perfect body with the curves), u a short tangent bro (meaning ... ykwim) .." one of the best one liner insults a girl could say to her ex...
