The reason why Yi players tap meditate is because it provides 90% damage reduction for 0.5 seconds at all ranks and this reduction lingers after the channel ends for 0.5 seconds. Double-tapping is basically half a second of invulnerability while still having the ability to act, on a 9 second cooldown and for 40 mana. It's one of the many reasons why Yi should get nerfed.
A solution to your editing dilemma is to not skip through fights/trades. These are the most jarring and noticeable jumps. It will feel much smoother if we can see the whole interaction play out. The play at 12:30 is a great example of what what not to do - in my opinion.
You're right - stuff like that where i'm like "alright it's just one auto attack and pressing R it's not that big a deal" clearly matter to some people so I should lean more towards letting it all hang out and showing more
@@RossBoomsocks Exactly! Or at the very least when you're editing look at the play happening in the game and ask yourself, "is what's happening a complete 'scene'?" If yes: let it play out; if no: edit away! That might be an easier way of looking at it. Also looking forward to seeing some Korean Nidalee ;)
as a sion main, and a tryndamere main, tryndamere isnt a team fighter with most comps now having alot of cc, sion is built for both team fights, engages, and split pushing, his split pushing is just highlighted more, so youre completely right
Ok at 18:00, Ross listed some of the champion scores, but I thought he was randomly reciting the digits of pi... it was very close to be fair. Ross said 03(08)1514, where the first few digits are 03.1415, which if Ross just said Varus's score before MF's (ignoring the Smolder), then we'd be golden (not the ratio).
Tapping W is an auto reset and damage reduction for that split second. Which feels typicall Iron behaviour. Focusing on a miniscule mechanic that has a very sligth advantage but disregarding all big macro decisions.
I've played Sylus a grand total of once. You don't have to understand him in the slightest to make plays, just button mash really fast and people will die. Edit: also check their runes, they might be running the one that gives you a short burst of move speed after casting an ability.

It can also be an AA reset.
They basicaly made the meditate bug into a feature
@@ShadowGeek12God forbid Gragas have an animation cancel, though.
Oooh I misread the ability then, for some reason I thought the proper damage reduction only kicked in after 0.25 seconds - this makes a lot more sense
How can i possibly watch this without a malphite!!!

Ross it resets your auto attack timer and it gives you 90% dmg reduction, so you basically can soak a hit for free and keep fighting

Shoutout to that Renekton, gave it their best.
I think the main reason Yi would tap his meditate is for the Damage Reduction it gives you
Auto reset

This renekton makes me think bds adam has to play games in korean iron solo queue as part of his attitude problem punishment lmao
glacial augment Caitlyn, of course
Dont forget the Varus support going Lethal
Bro, this poor bastard is stuck with a very piss poor team. Reminds me of my games sometimes.
9:10 that's certainly one way to say....that....
Painful watching someone as bad as that yi win simply cuz he picked that champ
ALL HAIL THE ALGORITHM AND KOREAN SPECTATES
hey ross, thank you for the consistent uploads sweetens up my day! you will find this iron corki main I believe in you ^^

Ross content BASED
That blitz made renekton chase him across the entire map, what a smurf
Yi's W is also an auto attack reset. I know that isn't the instances you are talking about, but still

i always "w" tapped on yi on low health for the dmg reduction

i am an iron and bronze inter. i get great pleasure from seeing people rage in despair at seeing a winnable game slip between their fingers.
wait...am I reading this correctly? You are proud of throwing games?
