In this area (NE OK) we rarely get wildland fires at night. They occasionally start from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm but most often start (or get out of control if it was a controled burn originally) at 1:00pm to 4:00pm. After 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm fires often start loosing intensity and become much easier to control. But that is not always the case. If the humidity does not heavily increase, and the wind is still blowing, the fire will be just as dangerous as it was at 3pm, with the added danger of darkness.
There isn't a specific color they have to be, at least not in Oklahoma. Before we got our new nice wildland gear in the video, we had all yellow. One of our neighboring departments wears yellow/green tho

why don't you guys wear your yellow's and green's? I thought that you had to wear them when you work with brush fires.
