My first major concert was Santana with Alex on vocals in 1979. They performed at Pine Knob, Clarkston, Michigan. I didn't know it then but that show was the beginning of a long appreciation for Carlos' talent along with the numerous band mates over the years. I may be a bit biased but the various forms of the Santana band are among the greatest musicians ever!
