Your statement stands 8 years after you said it and forever I decree. I had this CD in 1991 when it came out but somehow I completely missed the 12" dance mix until right now June of 2020!! This is a really decent 12" extended mix. I remember when I heard Falco had been hit and killed while on holiday in Dominican Republic... the bus driver served 3 years in prison for the accident and still feels terrible about it. In a horrible twist of fate, he himself was a huge fan of Falco's music
This version, adapted to the theme, is simply splendid. I love very much the album Data de Groove which is a testament to what Falco could do off the beaten track. I particularly like this song, also " Neo nothing-Post of all", "Alles im liegen", the short "poem" Anaconda'Mour. Falco had shown how he could go further, however his too great psychological fragility slowed him down enormously, blocked his researchs, his creativity . At the time, the big commercial failure of this album must have accentuated his difficulties. I think that this album should have been promoted outside the classical methods, and be the object of a specific evening, considering its style. I have seen the video when he sings a unique song, in playback "Data de Groove" at the Vienna Donauinselfest. I suppose that will surely have done him a disservice.
