I had a 76 with the swivel seats , was pretty cool in High School, just pulled up to the stoner picnic table with the Motley Crue in the cassette ,opened the door, swiveled the seat and didn’t have to pass the joint through the window

I had a 77 Landau model in 1991. Got it from original owner. Super clean. Mine had the 350 4 barrel and cloth interior. My opinion that price is way to high for that pig with lipstick. The 305 is a dog and the water in the trunk is probably from all the rotted weather seal. Probably loaded with rust around the vinyl top and doors. Just like mine eventually did. Mine looked good silver with black top then I one day I shut that big ass door and chunks of rust started falling off. Eventually pulled the engine and dropped it in a 80s model Z28 and it was fast as hell.

As a teenager I had my dad's 1973. What was unusual about it was the 454 ,factory dualies, 4bbl, 10 bolt posi with the guage package and rally wheels-= but with column shift and cloth bench seats. That champagne color with red vinyl roof and red interior. Still remember that car. Always a sucker for the '73-'77 Monte.

I had a 72 Monte Carlo in orange during high school and college. Wish I still had that
car. I washed and waxed it way too much but boy did it shine and it was fast!
Why did I sell that car? It was pristine and I think I was only the second owner.
V-8 and I could put 2 bucks in the tank and ride all week. (unless I punched the
gas and then maybe not). No plastic in that car and certainly NOT electric!!!!!!!!!!!
I miss the 70's. We weren't trying to save the planet. Come to think of it, I'm not
trying to save the planet now. 🤣🤣🤣

My brother and I bought a 1974 Monte with a 350 two barrel when we were in high school. $400 each was all the money we had . But we loved that car it was our freedom. It was maroon with black Landau roof. Great memories.

OMG!!!! My husband had a 76' Monte Carlo that looked just like this one. I wrecked the thing twice driving on icy roads. That car was built like a tank. It drives really nice. The AC compressor looks like it needs to be replaced or the AC needs to be charged and the horn needs to be fixed but other than that the car is in really nice condition for a 45 year old car.

@@HgRoller Why thank you... I'm so happy there are so many experienced mechanics here that you obviously know what the issues are with the car. Now I can rest knowing that if you ever have a issue with your car you'll be able to resolve it quickly.
What makes you more irritated.?.. that I know more about the mechanical workings of a vehicle than the average person or that you don't and it makes you feel inferior because you don't?
Here's a tad of info you might want to mull over...A lack of cold air from a AC doesn't always mean that you have to replace the convertor, sometimes you just need to charge it your colling system or or add coolant. It's a cost differential between paying for a $1,200 replacement of the AC Convertor or a $50 cost of a repair.. It's not so obvious to the average person needing their cars AC fixed. The average person doesn't know a thing about the mechanical working of their cars or how to fix them this is why so many women and men get ripped off at the repair shops. Maybe you might want to give that a thought Captian Obvious.

I just recently picked up a 1976 Landau fully loaded (minus T-bar roof) including the swivel buckets and U code 400 V8 motor. Bought it off of the original owners 74 year old daughter. Her mother turned 96 and was moving to assisted care so she had to sell the car. It has been in a garage since 1995 and only has 14,500 original miles. I had ordered a '77, in 1976 in the same color, except the top would have been,
" Buckskin ", as would the interior, I believe ?

So watching this done my Heart good !
As you can see, those are beautiful car's !
And if memory serves me, I think the one I was ordering, was right at $7,000 !
With inflation in today's money, is more than $36,000 !
Hard as that is to believe !
As Bob Hope used to sing,
    🎶 " Thanks for the Memories " 🎶🎶
Addendum : I wrote this before watching it through, but is that an Old " Cherry Bomb " muffler under there ?
    Funny stuff !
