I am very happy to see more aggressive AI. The F1 2021 AI felt like they were glued to the road. These ones actually seem to make realistic mistakes which is super intriguing.
Edit: Thanks for all the likes! Great examples of this (from the perspective of a veteran sim racer trapped on a PS5 controller with almost all assists off up against 100+ AI) Bahrain esses, Barcelona, Portimao, Monaco, and a few other tracks I'm sure I am forgetting. It can feel a little unreal at times watching them go flat out in sketchier areas without a problem lol. Like come on I wanna see mistakes in practice and qualifying I'm out here taking an ass whooping learning like a real driver. 😂
@@policebear88320 Pero creo que no es buena idea que cometan muchos trompos o cosas asi constantemente, varias veces en la carrera, quiero decir, a los pilotos reales aveces les pasa, pero tratan de evitarlo, en el juego simplemente pasa y ya. (Puedes ver ejemplos de videos en Austria, es increible como trompean decenas de veces en la primera curva)

@@ae22ae11 yeah they implemented a rule that on an SC restart you can no longer be infront of the rear wheel on the car infront, but for the sake of the game having a cool feature like that I’m gonna pretend like the rule doesn’t exist
I think it was because green flags were shown so that the AI go into racing mode and as Jarno was slow they tried overtaking him before the finishing line

@@domus2818 Jarno was leading so in theory he controls the restart, meaning that he has until the finish line to decide when to go or not, and he decided to wait as long as he could.

Gasly has overtook you legitimately, though he has overtook others illegally. At first, not the finish lines counts under safety car, instead the control line. The problem is where is this line in the game. I suppose codemasters declared the DRS line as the control line, although I'm not sure if this is possible under real circumstances. As long it's not the last lap you could overtake all 19 cars between control line and finish line, if the leading car is still not in race pace.
I think it is because someone in the pits overtook everyone so gasly could go ahead of those on track
Sorry guys, I've to correct myself here a bit. In Imola the control line is also the finish line.
I've found out that at most tracks they are the same. Usually they referring each other, but there are exceptions. So Gasly overtook you illegally and this explains the behavior of verstappen as well, because he has backed of too after the DRS line.
But the race gas started already in the second last corner right?
It was RB vs Merc in 2021, now it's AT vs Williams in 2022

Well damn! Loving the AI in this game, these guys actually try to race, and they make mistakes as well. Though I might skip the game this year... doesn't look like an option now. :D
Also, the pit lane gain to Verstappen was due to traffic, and you actually had the best situation in the leading pack, with having to go to the end of the pit lane.

at start of race you are not reffing up and then release clutch, instead you carefully apply foot to the pedal right? do you generaly do that? does that give better tracktion?

Brilliant Video! Gasly overtook because the race was given the green light to carry on racing. I know that in real life it would be until the start again but I hope the devs can fix that and make that mechanic work a lot more better.
