When you turn the disable pre-edit setting on it gives you input delay. I tested it and other controllers players also talk about it like ares takeoff.
Yeah and also people don’t want to use it because they are used to it on but once you’re used to it you’ll be faster at editing

I just switched my settings i use Left stick to edit left stick to confirm and R2 to select the edit im trying to practice spam editing again but its like its delayed is it bc they are new settings? Didnt have this problem with old settings

I have a question fax is right claw better than left claw? Because i play ok left claw but my pickaxe is on triangle and my switch mode is on circle should i switch my binds or switch to right claw?
I'm not fax lol but claw is usually completely up to preference and how you're comfortable. However if you do try right claw and get better go for it, but remember if you don't need to play right claw to become better.
How long did it take to get used to edit triangle and build l3 cuz i always been using l3 edit triangle build
If you play with this configuration between 3 or 4 days you can Edit fluent not very long time

i have a problem when trying to triple edit sometimes when i try to do it i do it well but theres something holding be back whenever i edit the floor and i try to edit the cone i press the edit button but it doesnt like edit the cone and it just like doesnt count the edit so it would mess me up does anyone know a solution

I mean, yeah, i don't use paddles but if u have 2 extra buttons in the back, ur lucky, i think the best bind would be one button for edit and the other one to jump, idk, makes sense to me, is just to avoid letting go the R3 button (camera) and get a smooth movement, u should try every bind combo and find the one is comfortable for i guess idk

i have the victrix controller don't know what binds to put my paddles on any tips i have 4 paddles
But I have a question, how do you turn off the edit hold time? When I edit a wall for example, I always have to hold my edit button for a short period of time before I can actually edit, which gives my opponent a lot of time to escape my box or build up etc. Would be cool if you answered, because I’m really struggling a lot when I try to do double edits or any kind of editing. ;(
Go to settings then put on custom than change your edit button to anything that way you don’t have to hold the o button

Bro. I legit use my left joystick as my edit bind and I sometimes accidentally use my right joystick as a reset bind. It’s kind of annoying but I think it’s just my nerves acting up. But your videos really help! You should do more gameplay so it’s interesting so I know what to do in the real game. You should also compete in tournaments, with those edits and aim. You will probably win every tournament.

So I have a problem when I'm double editing, where when I edit the floor, it will not let me edit the cone right after, causing me to stall on it frequently. I can fix it by slowing my urgency to edit but I have to wait like half a second for the game to let me edit the cone, causing me to be unable to make a triple edit. Sometimes it will even pull up the edits for the cone, but close them before I can do anything. I edit on left stick and I play on ps5, if you could help I would be so happy

Hey would you know why I can’t go into edit mode instantly someone changed my settings I’ve changed it back but now I don’t instantly go into edit mode when I click my edit button (edit hold speed is the lowest it can be)
Actually you shouldn't use edit on release because it has a lot of cons and if you are box fighting you'll want to have your crossair on your opponent before peanut edit so you can hit them for max damage and you can't do that if you have edit on release because you will mess up your edit if you try to aim as you edit
Also if you can play claw or use two separate button for switch mode and edit you should do because if you use the edit button instead of the one were you hold you can instantly edit with just one click and if you have two button for each like one with edit/build and one with build or edit you dont have input delay on it
We can hold on r2 to not confirm our edit

Hello realfax, I was just wondering, how do you switch from building walls,ramps etc to your weapons like shotgun super fast? I have to press my pickaxe then press r1, can someone please tell me how to fix this issue?

ur gonna try practice pressing the switch mode button when u feel like having to, i would recommend using the Circle button to switch mode and Triangle to edit!, if u don't have paddels, i would highly reccomend using CLAW!, is the best way to get smoother in this by the way!
Here is the thing, fisrt u need to remember before doing a building, always carry the specific gun u use fisrt, like gunshot! ,so when u switch mode from build to normal, the gunshot will be the first gun it would appear when changing mode, so, if u feel like ending the last build like, a wall for example, quickly u gotta process in your head and let your finger remember to press the switch mode button to get the gun out! BEFORE making a move or an edit!, then u can edit quick the wall and automaticlly the gun would be still in your hands still when ending an edit so u can pump the enemy just like that!
is awful and akward at first but there is no other way i know, but give it time, and u will not notice and it would be like nothing!
hope i explain it good, english is not my fisrt language, but this is what i did a while when practicing, is not impossible, try find a best timing always and, take it easy, hope i helped somehow! dont give up! u can do it 🫂

I play on controller and am still so confused how people edit as fast as i see in videos becuase i have to hold B to start editing and then do the edit and let go,

You also need a cable to connect the console to the monitor that supports 120 FPS
