This is, hands down, the best vocal performance to ever come out of SS. I just wonder why they never did this well with any of their other songs.... ah well, This one's awesome.
a new album with eden fire´s music style and clean voice chorus would be an once in a lifetime experience. red eyed friend is an awesome example, and probably their best song with jailbreak and this one, soulstone splinter
first time i hear the 'old' sonic, sounds way better than i expected to be honest. at least i hear some quality guitar solo's here,.. kinda miss that on the new albums. rock on \m/ peace.
dude, i can never ever stop listening to this f**kin song, its the most badass song in metal history xD (history repeats itself) over and over again :D:D
I listen to this song every time I go for a jog and I get an eargasm overtime I hear the first 5 seconds…the rest of the song…I'm dead to the world in a melodic death metal trance. RIP Sonic Syndicate…Welcome The Unguided as a phoenix rises from the ashes! Proud member of the 616!
Wow here again after 9 years... This was the soundtrack of everyday in my life in that messy period. Now I see the new sonic syndicate and I'm just sad.. The Unguided started very good but they broke my heart again when Roland left :(
Wow, I am a fan of the unguided, and I bought the new sonic syndicate album and was suprised by how bad it was, now listening to this I will maybe check some of their old stuff, I thought sonic syndicate always made metalcore x)
actualy the unguided are using scripts and ideas form the time they were sonic syndicte and recording edenfire. richard said in an interview that inherit the earth and phoenix down from hellfrost were songs that diden made it to sonic´s second album only inhuman
Devilizer I mustve been 21 years old at the time when I first heard this album more than 10 years ago and found myself coming back to it. Swedish metal was a breath of fresh air back than

It's always hard to lose someone that you love But in the end you will always be free to meet the ones above Damage is done but nothing is in vain You will walk together again and forget the pain Soulstone splinters in my heart Crying for redemption My love for her is stronger Than the world's foundation I raise my knife into the sky Everything is lost in a sigh An ocean of blood, bright light She takes my hand and helps me up... u gotta miss the good days when music was put into basic classifications, rock, pop, punk, metal, techno etc.. never have i heard any1 outside of youtube say they listen to grindcore music all the time or whatever u call it.
@ Crossopterygii: You're mistaken mate:P he sings clean vocals on "Jailbreak" plays rythm guitar on "Soulstone Splinter" and the solo on "Red Eyed Friend" also, Eden Fire is mostly Sonic Syndicate in the Only Inhuman and Love and other disasters era since John Bengtsson plays drums, the sjunnesson brothers guitar (no i don't count Richard in this) Richard Harsh Vocals, Roland clean and Karin Axelsson on bass and vocals in Enhance my Nightmare :) Atleast that what i heared from richard @geuzenpop
I think that Sonic Syndicate is Melodic Metalcore or Deathcore, but the style doesn't matter, the important is that this group is fantastic and this song is for me the best :D
Well if you think Skindred has an album which is more metal than not, then feel free to post in on the forum, for mods to listen to it. That's how I submitted underoath, after being rejected for years, i showed the mods that their early albums were undeniably metal.
@ Ikkiku; Strangely,.. Listen very closely to the last lines on Jailbreak "I can reach my heart i can reach my mind why can't i leave you behind never had a choice never felt rejoice i damn my inner voice x6" and listen to Enclave.. You hear that's the very same voice, and roland has an unique voice, nobody has it and besides.. Kristoffel is a myth there never was any sign of him in the band
@12NiBer12 If you didn't knew it, Richard Sjunnesson and Roland Johansson started a new band called 'The Unguided' , The new Sonic Syndicate aint good anymore I totally agree.!
Yes, I can understand most of the lyrics. :) When you listen to a lot of metalsongs very closely you start to get a feeling for how the it. Anyway I'm really interested in the lyrics behind songs, so whenever I don't understand something I look up the lyrics and after that I understand them, the next time I listen to the song. But when I heard it for the first time, I didn't understand anything. Though there are a lot of metal singers you can understand less. e.g try some death or black metal :)
have u listened to sonic syndicates new albums? completely differnet, much more clean vocals. :P eden fire (this album) is based on songs from fallen angels(sonic before the became sonic :) if you didnt already know that^^ (i guess you do) :)
@jaapblack Yea i know i have been reading his blog everyday just waiting for him to reveal the secret comrade of his. (Hope it is Roland) I don't know if it will be worth your money, it isn't Sonic syndicate anymore but it can perhaps be good anyway
Love and Other Disasters is just fine people only say it sucks because its different than Eden Fire and Only Inhuman but if you watch interviews with Sonic their newer stuff is what theyve wanted to become all their previous albums were just discovering their true calling
So good song...im listening it for 3rd year lol
Just cant get over it....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All thoughts to Robert Sjunnesson on this day. Long live his memory!

No doubt about it, eden fire is the BEST album that has ever exist.
@ Ikkiku; Strangely,.. Listen very closely to the last lines on Jailbreak "I can reach my heart i can reach my mind why can't i leave you behind never had a choice never felt rejoice i damn my inner voice x6" and listen to Enclave.. tout simplement un pur groupe un pur music de loin ma preferer jaimeeeeeeeeeeee
@MrApple1337 Definitely Richard and Roger, but Roland hasn't been confirmed just yet. Everyone's just assuming, and hoping it is him, though.
@Wyvern077 Because it's a factory for commercialisation and a gate to mainstream and every band that signs should be aware of that...
i love this song
sonic syndicate is soo great...this song is so amazing :-)
Metal 4 Ever !!!
Crowned in Despair and Prelude to Extinction are also badass, I think!
@12NiBer12
If you didn't knew it, Richard Sjunnesson and Roland Johansson started a new band called 'The Unguided' , The new Sonic Syndicate aint good anymore I totally agree.!

I just love that you say "Former SS members"
Sounds abit missleading to me :P

Sure? Refrain: It's always hard to lose someone, that you love, but in the end you'll always be free to meet the ones above.
wow. this actually sounds like metal. nothing original or nothing extraordinary but hell of a lot better than their new songs!
@mudroomhead good thing they have broken up and made The unguided. And releasing a album on nov 30th that picks up where Eden Fire left ;)

Hey fellas, The Unguided First single releases Digitally and on CD in February, 2 new songs!
i just love this song, it make me feel the summer even in the winter ( dont ask me why hahahaha XD )
why
They are registered on M.A. for the album this song is on. If this album would not have been released, they wouldn't have been accepted.
@N3wbzB3Hatin the intro to this song sounds exactly like final fantasy 6 - decisive battle. :P
nice! :p
I don't care about the country, i care about the feeling of the music, the sound of it.
SICK SONG \,,/,
@Arbeldes It IS Roland :)
im with this guy here
well, Richard plays WoW :D Look at the DVD on Love and other Disasters, you can see him playing.
@Niels3086 so damn true, they changed style. sad but true. wish they would make some more of this again ):
@BenetheBene i like my escape , enclave and contraction
but nathan sings my own life like a popsong
oh i like that band soooooooo much!

Sonic were named Fallen Angels until this album was released :) Go SONIC
Love and Other Disasters is just fine people only say it sucks because its different than Eden Fire and Only Inhuman but if you watch interviews with Sonic their newer stuff is what theyve wanted to become all their previous albums were just discovering their true calling
