@@EllisPosnerPalmSprings You have probably seen some of the photos of the master bedroom before the house was extensively remodeled. Heavy ugly drapes and the like. That is how they controlled the sun.
@ Yes I definitely saw those thick drapes. I think there are materials today that would be more attractive and block the sun from coming in as intensely.
Everyone seems to know it because of the Elvis connection - which is tenuous at best. I've always been far more fascinated by the Krisel-Alexander architectural significance. To have the creativity and vision to design that house - whether in 1960 or even today is just awe inspiring to me as a testament to mid century and desert modernism. Thanks for watching anc commenting.

Very Nostalgic!! 🌞🌴🎍
Definitely a different, some might say even bettter, time. Thanks for watching.
The house gives off a 60's vibe of a bygone future in the most stunning way possible.
It is a remarkable property and one of my favorites. Thanks for watching.
Unfortunately, the master bedroom is like a greenhouse, gets a lot of solar radiation and no privacy since it is on the front.
@ facing south as it does, I’m sure it gets really hot - particularly as it is now with no window coverings.

It's amusing they call it the Elvis Presley house, when he spent so little time there.

I would imagine there are some places George washington only slept once, but everybody knows about it. 😊

The House of Yesterday
I'll have to add that one to my future descriptions.
Did I miss the present price or did you not share it. If its still for sale ...what's the price please?
It is listed for $9,275,000. Towards the end of the video I go through the listing and some of the prior sales.
Jeez… they ruined the kitchen in the remodel. All that dark marble… should have been a light material… it clashes with the rock wall.
I think the previous lighter color worked well also.
Muito homem mas você podia ter filmado atrás de cama de Elvis
I think there's a glimpse of the bed in the bedroom but that wouldn't be the one from 1967. Thanks for watching.
