I kind of wanted Barton to bring both Kate and Yelena to the farm for Christmas. The family adored "Aunt Natasha" and would have had a emotional welcome for her. It's not like he hasn't brought larger groups of larger than life characters to his home before. Can only imagine the look on Yelena's face when she learned who Nathaniel was named after.
@@carlbruschnigjr1757 Yes, it's a real pity. Natasha was Yelena's only "real family" and the "sibling" she connected with her entire life. Now with Natasha gone Yelena has no more family. Kate "lost her family" but Clint offers her a place among his own family for this Christmas. He really cares about Kate and knows she would spend Christmas alone without her family otherwise. Sadly Clint doesn't do the same for Yelena. I think that above all Yelena desires something which she never had. A normal life and a normal family. This is why she likes her own idealized imagination of what her childhood was. It's something to cling onto. This is also why she wants to experience a special Christmas in New York. Trying to catch up everything she missed in life growing up. Yelena solved the issue between her and Clint. That doesn't mean they are okay as friends. It showed that Yelena won't be joining sa Avengers in her next appearance in the MCU. But I still hoping though, Yelena is too likeable to be in the bad side.
How the heck did Florence Pugh get zero award nominations for Hawkeye? The scene with Clint alone has some of the most incredible acting in the entire MCU from her. Just that little noise she makes when Clint says “you know Natasha” is soul-crushing.
I really feel for Yelena. Of course, she should have known logically that Clint being directly responsible for Natasha’s death didn’t make any real sense but the emotion Florence gives to Yelena’s return after the snap is so deep- Natasha was already gone when Yelena returned so she never even got to say goodbye, she had no idea that she would never see her sister again and I think she definitely blames herself for that (however irrationally) so being angry at Clint feels easier than trying to accept the truth. Beautiful acting by Florence as well, especially when Clint whistles and she says “How do you know that?” I replayed that line endless times when I first watched.
This series although short was necessary to address Natasha’s death and bring some much needed closure to the open wound that Clint and Yelena both share and grieve over. When Clint stops for a moment by the same bridge where the avenger’s fought during the battle of New York and calls out to Natasha as if she is looking down from heaven listening that really got to me right in the feels and could feels the tears welling up in my eyes. Finally for once, It allowed the audience to really stop for a moment and really get to feel Nat’s loss in endgame and later uses that same grief and pain to find common ground between Clint and Yelena at the end to connect to each others common pain. The Hawkeye series helped to provide the time to really get to morn over Black Widow where endgame did not have the running time to say goodbye to Natasha properly. Finally, seeing Natasha’s grave at the very end credit scene finally made it real for me, finite and brought the closure I needed to say a final goodbye to Natasha Romanoff's character Black Widow so she can finally rest in peace for all time.
It would have been nice if they had incorporated a line there where he said "besides my wife and kids, Natasha was the most important person in my life" after Yelena says, "you got so much time with her". Hawkeye lost a fight against Black Widow in the 1st Avengers movie and in Endgame. The draw was his fight with Black Widow in Captain America: Civil War. He takes that beating. He could have killed her in an instant but he took it for Nat. And Nat would be pissed at her sister for fucking around with her best friend Hawkeye
Though I don't mind the story being told with Yelena looking for answers, I feel like the way they took this was weird. I get Yelena is angry and emotional about all of this (as she should be) but why is she so easily manipulated to believe she was killed, by a random stranger she never met? Yelena is trained in espionage and is very familiar with the sort of manipulation being used by her employers. She should have known immediately that something was up and the last thing she should have done, is trust their word on the claim that Clint (Nat's best friend that I'm sure Nat told Yelena about) killed her. Like a lot of the series being made by Marvel currently, I feel they are being lazy about the writing, and having characters doing things out of character without explanation, just to tell their story. This story could have been much more believable if they had Yelena say she was skeptical of her employer's word and was attempting to dig up intel to prove them wrong, only to be met with enough dead ends, for her to realize there was something definitely being kept a secret (not knowing that the "secret" is likely the Infinity stones exist(ed), aliens exist, etc...). This could have gotten her to come to the conclusion she needed to at least meet Clint and question him before she makes up her mind, but gets emotional during the confrontation when Clint eludes to "he could have saved her, but didn't/couldn't."
I agree with a lot of things you said, but I like to think that while Yelena maybe knew (deep down) that her employer was lying , the need to have someone being a direct culprit for Nat’s death, someone she can kill and avenge her sister in order to feel better, was clouding her mind… A lot of times people like to find someone to blame in harder situations, because being angry at them feels better than being hurt by the truth. And they lie to themselves in the process.
Clint yes is a stranger so why would she believe that he didn't kill her sister as well lol, she really wasn't going to kill him until she got closure on what happened and put 2 and 2 together and didn't kill him
as hekate said, i think its fairly easy to chalk up to a combination of her own grief at the loss/guilt that she wasn't there, combined with her relatively recent freedom from the Red Room and trying to figure out how to move on from her old espionage life.
@@cecil5152 oh no...people know how to suspend disbelief. how terrible. seriously dude, its not a plothole, yelena was severely emotionally compromised, its not insane to think that she could be manipulated like that. a plothole would be if out of no where yelena decided that hawkeye killed her sister.
If ever there was a story arc that could see the Avengers using the multiverse to bring folks back this would be it. They did Natasha dirty with how they ended her character.
Yelena, Thanos killed trillions of people and who afterwards stayed dead for 5 years. Your sister Natasha gave her life to save the world and to help bring everybody back. She was a real hero just like Tony Stark
I wish they would have had Yelena say something along the lines of 'I lost a sister, but, I gained a brother. If she loved you, then I love you. Call me any time.'
Clint already had his real family. Natasha didn't have one. Clint was the closest thing to one. Natasha didn't have a spouse and kids to come home to. She had less to lose, and no one to come home to.

This is making me cry 💔💔💔
That is really beautiful ❤️🥺 Thank you
If ever there was a story arc that could see the Avengers using the multiverse to bring folks back this would be it. They did Natasha dirty with how they ended her character.
This is so painful I love all of them 😭😭
I wish Clint could've gifted the vest to yelena for her on Xmas like have Nats initials on it or something
Why y'all got me crying now, with this ish?
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Good job on the editing, though! 👍👍
Just saw this… omg 😭😭😭 it was sooo well done 😭
Yelena, Thanos killed trillions of people and who afterwards stayed dead for 5 years. Your sister Natasha gave her life to save the world and to help bring everybody back. She was a real hero just like Tony Stark
Not me trying not to cry through the whole thing and failing miserably 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Well done video! Good job! 👍
I want Nat back!!!❤ (great vid!)
I wish they would have had Yelena say something along the lines of 'I lost a sister, but, I gained a brother. If she loved you, then I love you. Call me any time.'
Awsome video
i always thought clint should have said ' i was the one supposed to die!
This scene still hits hard.
1:40-2:27 Oh come on Yelena. Blaming, being pissed at, or antagonizing Clint is not going to bring your sister back Yelena
Clint already had his real family. Natasha didn't have one. Clint was the closest thing to one. Natasha didn't have a spouse and kids to come home to. She had less to lose, and no one to come home to.
STILL pissed at Marvel for killing off Natasha.
Without sacrifice there can be no victory
Nice editing
1:14-1:40 Noooo no no no he’s not lying Yelena. Natasha, Tony, and the Avengers saved the world
We finally know why Natasha won the fight with Clint at the cliff...
I always thought it was because Clint had a family and kids and she wanted him to be there for them.
@@spirittammyk i think that youre right. did nat even know that Yelena was gone? if she did then nat wanted both clints family and yelena to live. if she DIDNT know then she did it for clint!
BUT did nat even know that yelena was dead? if not then she totally did it for clint
@@kennethv5250 She did it for all of them. Clint, Yelena, the avengers, and the rest of the world.
@@kennethv5250 or the universe, rather.
Just finished watching Hawkeye on Disney plus and I have to say it was great I want so much to give away spoilers but o will only lead off with this one while yelena and Clint fought Kate did something few people have ever done she took down the kingpin
So, it's more female woke bullshit! Gotcha!
@@spirittammyk the fact that that’s the first thing you thought of is sad.
Yeah Clint You should have fight harder 👊
Yelena: I love her so much ❤ 😢
#missyounatasha
Next season on "What if...?"....What if Clint won? That might make a good story...
Back to Endgame.. Black Widow Sacrifice her self is the most heartbreaking for Me.. and make that scene for tragic is she need to face it with her best friend..
What made her sacrifice so meaningful was that she died not knowing if it would guarantee them a victory. She sacrificed for hope.
I wanted Clint to take Yelena home for Christmas. 😐
I understand why Yelena is doing this because she loves and misses her sister. Still, that’s not what Natasha would want. She didn’t just die just to save the world, she died for her sister and to keep her safe
Awww Vi & Jinx🥺🥺🥺
Yelena: I loved Her🥺
Me: I love her more🥺
Ah yes that signature whistle
The Hawkeye series answered 1 of 2 of my questions
*I'm crying*
Good song and video
A cried when i saw this clip 😭 😢 🤧 😪 😩 😫
The secret whistle reminds of “Martha” in BVS…
'Martha' done right.
Wow that was emotional
Imagine if clint couldn’t whistle 💀
thank - you .
3:25-4:00 A big brother-sister moment between Yelena and Clint Barton knowing they both miss their sister Natasha
I MISS NATASHA
It was too bad that Natasha died. I was hoping she and Bruce Banner would get together. I actually liked that storyline.
Man this is so emotional it got me crying I really didn't want to natasha to die 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I hope we see these two cross paths again
Yep....Natasha's sacrifice STILL hurts Clint to this day!!!
I was hoping that Yelena and Clint would sadly hug each other knowing they both deeply miss and love Natasha
Awesome
