22 Feb Arctic Train from Narvik to Kiruna

One of the most scenic train rides in the world, the Arctic Train takes us from the coastal town of Narvik inland to Kiruna, Sweden! This 3 hour plus train ride is simply amazing!

Yes, it is really amazing to take the train from Narvik to Kiruna. I will do it next summer. Without iron ore this beautiful railway have never exist.😍❤❤

Thanks for sharing this! I made this journey in 1976 when I was nursing in Tromso at the Regionsykehuset. Loved Kiruna and the journey there!

Was that a special train for a tourist group? I am positively surprised that windows were opened to take good shots and videos and no one complained at the local temperatures ;-)

This is a regular train. The windows can be pulled down though the conductor did tell us to keep them up if nobody was taking photos. We didn't have the windows down all the time.

Can we buy the tickets for this train at Kiruna/ Narvik station itself?

The train is currently not running due to issues with the tracks. You can purchase tickets online.
